Total list of tasks were: Replace 2 ceiling fans Replace 2 towel rods Swap the motors on 3 bathroom exhaust fans Swap the faucets on 2 bathroom sinks Replace 3 bathroom toilet roll holders I told him I was unwilling to pay for additional 4-5 hours worth of work that he estimated it would have taken to get all the tasks done. I felt like $300 worth of labor should have been plenty to get the tasks done. In my world if you quote someone for a price for a job, that's what they pay, not double. When I called to let him know that the one toilet paper holder he mounted was crooked, he claimed it wasn't until I told him I used a digital level to determine it was mounted 5 degrees off. I guess that's my fault for not checking his work before he left. He said he'd call back to schedule to come by and fix it, but that never happened. Michael is more trouble than he's worth. My fiancée couldn't get any work done due to constant interrupting, requests for her to help him during the tasks, and personal questions that were none of his business that had nothing to do with completing the job that he kept asking. Its none of his business to know my custody arrangement with my ex-wife.

UPDATED Review: The…read moreteam reached out to me previously and offered to fix the issues. In our conversation, Rubi assured me that they will fix whatever is wrong with the project. I was hesitant because she said that one day would be enough to do it. When Gilbert arrived, he was by himself (unlike previously when he had an assistant) and said he would take care of the issues. I asked him if he can sand and stain the areas instead of painting in one day and he said it would take more than a day to do that. Given other circumstances, I really needed to reclaim the room that was being worked on and more than a couple of days of renos is something I couldn't do anymore. So I reached a compromise of him smoothing out some of the surfaces and painting instead of staining. Not what I wanted 100% but it is growing on me. I want to highlight that Rubi and Gilbert are genuinely nice people that would be willing to work with you regarding your project. Generally speaking, closing the loop in communication probably would have prevented mishaps. Functions with no issues, but it has had a slight drip since my wife and I bought our home a few years ago. The spigot gets direct afternoon sun all year long and is exposed to the elements. It's understandable that it would need to be replaced at some point in time. Unfortunately, I am no plumber. Actually, who am I kidding? ...I'm not really all that handy at all. My wife knew this before she married me. Thankfully, businesses like J&M Home Maintenance Services exist because of dudes like me! I had several suggestions recommended to me for local businesses that could help me replace the spigot in my backyard. I reached out to J&M Home Maintenance Services and Eric (the business owner) reached out to me almost immediately. He was the first to respond and therefore, he got my vote. After the other quotes started coming in, he was also the cheapest! WIN / WIN! Not only did he reply immediately, but he did so on a Sunday (the day I sent my request for a quote to him) If that's not customer service, then I don't know what is. Anywho, Eric was able to get us scheduled on Tuesday - just 2 days after my initial request. It wasn't an emergency by any means so this was completely fine. He was a little late for the appointment, but shot me an e-mail as a courtesy to let me know which I appreciated. He e-mailed me again to let me know when he was on his way and when to expect him which was also awesome. He introduced himself and was very professional, polite and courteous. Not only did Eric replace the spigot that we initially requested, but he even went so far as to replace the secondary spigot that shares the same line (which we never use). He replaced that one at the same time in case we ever want to add a secondary hose for watering purposes. My wife and I were very impressed by the work he did as well as how efficient he was. He obviously takes a lot of pride in the work he does and the business with which he operates. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Eric at J&M Home Maintenance Services for all of your home maintenance needs!
