I was introduced to Joe's Tree Svc. via his business postcard left on my fence. I usually have my Lemon Tree cut & pruned at least once a year, and in August 2025, it was time. So after my usual practice of collecting three quotes from local tree service companies. I was able to negotiate to what I believed, was a good and fair price. Joe then offered to arrange to do the job almost immediately. Impressive! I then agreed to have the service done on 09/17/2025. His Crew provided an ETA that would be after they had lunch locally. And they showed up on time after which we discussed (in Spanish), how I wanted my tree shaped, and they got to work on it without delay. Needles to say my tree was a little overgrown, so it took them over two or more hours. When they were done, the Leadman asked me to look over their work and asked if I needed more limbs cut or trimmed away? It was perfect! They were also very thorough with cleaning up any leaves and branches that landed on my lawn and even used a ladder to climb over my fence to pickup any debri that had fallen into my neighbors yard. You severed my cable line and didn't bother to let me know or report it, like you told my neighbor you would? UNBELIEVABLE!" OMG! King Tree Service appears to perform a rather phenomenal job at pruning trees, shaping bushes, while also acting to sever telephone, cable and internet lines. (The latter at no charge or care, for that matter). The KING TREE SERVICE crew, especially the foreman on site, as well as the owner, all appear to have cultivated a knack of completely refusing to accept any or all responsibility for what this crew had clearly performed: disabling our cable lines out of neglect, which left us without phone, internet and TV from Saturday to Tuesday afternoon. Seriously! Our neighbor, who saw what they had done, not only acted to inform them, but show them that they had clearly severed the cable lines ("One cable is laying on the ground and the other is hanging off a tree limb. You severed her cable line"]. She actually has a video on her phone of the damage they caused. The foreman of KING TREE SERVICE told my neighbor he would report it. HE DIDN'T. Because my neighbor trusted the foreman of KING TREE SERVICE to report what they had done, she did not think it was necessary to inform me that they had severed our cable line. Therefore, I didn't discover why we didn't have any phone, internet or TV service until the following Tuesday when a FRONTIER tech came out to troubleshoot the problem and discovered the severed lines, right where KING TREE SERVICE left it hanging off a the branches of a tree they had just pruned. Over the weekend and then again on Monday, I spent hours on my recently purchased cell phone with FRONTIER agents who were doing their very best at trying to resolve the issue of our having no service. Had the foreman acted responsibly, he would have reported the severed cables, as he had promised my neighbor, and KING TREE SERVICE'S mistake could have been easily rectified on Saturday, not 3 days later. When I called the supervisor at KING TREE SERVICE there was a communication barrier: he didn't "know" English. So, I was provided the number of his English-speaking daughter, who basically said, "Sorry, but mistakes happen." I couldn't believe my ears. "You are sorry that the crew cut my cable lines? Okay, that was a mistake. But that your crew or your foreman didn't report it or let us know that they had severed our cable line, leaving us without our phones, internet and TV from Saturday to Tuesday, that is NOT a mistake. That is gross negligence." I actually strongly suggested that KING TREE SERVICE could clear some debris stacked behind our block wall (about a 15-20 minute job) as an apology for their gross negligence. I also informed her that if KING TREE SERVICE failed to perform this simple task of apology, that I would post a review online. I have heard nothing back from KING TREE SERVICE. Nada! Zip! If there possibly exists a "Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa" when it comes to KING TREE SERVICE (the numbers I was provided: 626-426-8543 or 626-221-6471) it would have to be along the lines of "We are sorry we were caught red-handed for having severed your cable lines and choosing to DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE MISTAKE WE MADE." And to your response: NO YOU DID NOT ASSUME FULL ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR MISTAKE. MOREOVER! I TOTALLY INFORMED YOUR DAUGHTER WHAT I WOULD SO IF YOU FAILED TO RESPOND WITHIN A GIVEN SET OF TIME? Just like the other review, this is for Joe's Tree Care (King's Tree Service has become Joe's Tree Care according to the King's Tree Service website). The fire department did an inspection of our property in Diamond Bar and noted that we had a lot of trees making contact with the house. I found Joe on Yelp, read the reviews, and made a call. He said he could come out within an hour, which he did. We walked the property and he noted down what needed to be done. I was impressed with how professional he was, and could tell he was very experienced. After giving me a written estimate for the work, he said he could come back with his crew the next morning after another job to do the work, and he did exactly that at the time he proposed. Joe walked his crew around the property to show what needed to be done, and I could tell he remembered everything we had discussed. We even added a few more items to do for a small fee. The whole crew was not only professional, but also very polite, friendly and efficient. Joe and the crew finished all that was agreed on and cleaned up well. I'm definitely going to call Joe again in the future for our tree needs. The world could do with more businesses like this one that conduct themselves so well. read more

We had two huge pine trees in our backyard in an elevated area between a retaining wall and the City's wall. Seriously, who plants pine trees between two walls?! You also have to climb up stairs to get to that area. It would be a matter of time before the roots bust through the retaining wall. Even though they provided shade, we had to cut them down. So we call up about 5 different tree services and received 4 quotes. The quotes to cut down the trees (leaving the roots) were from $1,200 to $2,800. King's was the least expensive quote and they are legitimate (licensed and insured). King's Tree Service was actually referred to me by my coworker who used them to cut down two Sago Palms in her yard. We called Joe and he came over on a Friday and said he'd be over on Monday to do the job. (Since we had to get a Tree Removal Permit from the City, we postponed the job for the following week). Joe and his crew came to our house yesterday while we were at work. When I got home, I went straight to the backyard and they left everything so clean! Wow, they even swept up all the pine needles and left us a neat pile of firewood against the wall. Joe came by later that evening so we could pay him. We didn't give him an initial deposit or anything. I would definitely refer King's Tree Service to anyone else needing tree trimming or tree removal services. A neighbor down the street was using their services so we called for a quote on a Friday. Jesse (I wonder if "Joe" from the other reviews is the same guy) was scheduled to come at 9am but came a little bit earlier. He gave his quote and a copy of their insurance (to prove legitimacy), of course I checked Yelp reviews (all 5 stars and GREAT recommendations), and decided to go for it! I needed my huge ass trees cut down asap as I didn't want el nino to wreak havoc in my back yard... plus, I really hate raking!! The crew was scheduled to come the next day, Saturday at 8:30am. Just like other reviews raved, they came ON TIME!! (Well, technically 5-10 minutes earlier than scheduled). The point is, they're extremely reliable! The crew got to work right away. They are obviously very professional and methodical at tackling large crazy trees and cutting them down. I'm very very pleased with the work and apparently so were my neighbors who called in that day for a quote and after the work at my house was done (around 3pm), they went next door to work on my neighbor's yard! They also cleaned up any mess made (just like other reviews said!). I'm really happy to have found this company because when you pick a business to do work at your house (cement, windows, roof, plumbing, pest control, etc..), you really don't know what you're going to get. I contacted Joe in the morning and he came by 5:30 later that day to give us an estimate. I was impressed with his appearance and his professionalism, and I felt that the price was good. We set up a time for the following week. The next week the crew came in and prepped for the trimming of six 30 foot Seneca palms. These palms are the pride of our backyard and of the cul-de-sac. We were a little nervous since this was a new tree service that we had not tried before but Joe gave us the confidence that he could get it done. They covered the pavers around the pool deck with tarps and covered the surrounding plants with a combination of ladders, 2x4s and sheets of plywood so that the falling palm fronds would not damage the landscaping underneath the Seneca palm. They methodically went through and spent the entire day from 8 to 5 trimming each of the six stems and fronds. They did a wonderful job and left our yard cleaner than when they had arrived. I could not recommend these guys more and they are now my go-to tree service company. read more

I needed a 60 foot Queen palm and 50 foot Norfolk pine removed. After calling Kings Tree Service, Joe arrived promptly to give me an estimate. I called two more companies for estimates. Joe's estimate was most reasonable coming in lower than competitors. I needed to wait a few weeks to get tree removal permits from the City of Pomona. Joe still honored his written estimate on the back of his business card. He arrived on time and his team got right to work. In two and a half hours both trees were removed, stumps ground and mess swept up and taken away. Super impressed with how they climbed 60 foot trees with climbing gear and no crane. When we purchased this house almost 10 years ago, the previous owners decided it would make a small (~20ft x 20ft), enclosed, no external access yard more awesome if they planted about 8 palm trees. At the time, the palm trees were about 7 feet tall which was manageable so we didn't think too much of it. Fast forward about 10 years and we now have 8 huge palm trees (~20ft - 30ft) in that same tiny space dropping massive leaves/branches, seed pods, and bark chunks not only in my yard, but all my neighbors yards as well. With all the complaints I'd gotten, these trees needed to go. After spending a good day (10 hours) with a buddy of mine cutting down 5 of the smaller palm trees (~20ft tall each), catching an electric chainsaw on fire, almost melting down a brand new gas chainsaw, and almost falling off a ladder, we decided the last 3 largest trees needed to be left to the professionals. Seeing the good Yelp reviews, I gave King's Tree Service a call at about 4PM on a Tuesday. He was able to swing by around 6PM the same day to give an estimate on cutting down the last 3 palm trees. The estimate was very reasonable so I scheduled him for Saturday. They showed up and went to work right on time. Joe's crew had a team of three who completed the entire job in about 4 hours. They even cleaned up the neighbors yard which had a bit of dust and tree parts fall over. Since the neighbors had a pool they even went out and bought a pool cleaning net to clean it up for them. We had three 83-year-old Liquid Ambers, each approximately 100 feet tall growing in close proximately to each other and, growing in the center of the three trees, a huge Yellow Mermaid rose which used them as an armature on which to grow. The rose became deadly to walk under and impossible to trim and one of the trees was definitely in stress. We decided that all had to come out. I called King's Tree Service on a Saturday and left a message. They called back first thing Monday morning and said they would send someone over in the next half hour to check the scope of the job. They gave me a fair price to remove the three trees and the rose along with agreeing to shape the Jacaranda tree in my patio which had been light-starved from the Liquid Ambers with the majority of its growth reaching across the neighbor's home and over their chimney. They completed all of the work on Wednesday of this week, just two days after we received the quote. Our property and the neighbor's property were immaculate when they left. Their skill was amazing. They had total control of how everything was lowered to the ground slowly and gently. These trees were very close to our home which is tiled. The whole procedure was flawless. I can't say enough.
