We had three 83-year-old Liquid Ambers, each approximately 100 feet tall growing in close proximately to each other and, growing in the center of the three trees, a huge Yellow Mermaid rose which used them as an armature on which to grow. The rose became deadly to walk under and impossible to trim and one of the trees was definitely in stress. We decided that all had to come out. I called King's Tree Service on a Saturday and left a message. They called back first thing Monday morning and said they would send someone over in the next half hour to check the scope of the job. They gave me a fair price to remove the three trees and the rose along with agreeing to shape the Jacaranda tree in my patio which had been light-starved from the Liquid Ambers with the majority of its growth reaching across the neighbor's home and over their chimney. They completed all of the work on Wednesday of this week, just two days after we received the quote. Our property and the neighbor's property were immaculate when they left. Their skill was amazing. I had a "weed tree" growing in a difficult place between my wooden fence and the county's chain link fence. Based on input from friends and family I had a cost in mind for a complete removal. Called Joe for an estimate only. He arrived promptly, was very friendly and took some time to completely survey the job. We needed quite a bit of work in our backyard. This included the removal of 3 large, old and raggedy looking evergreen trees, another large tree that was too close to a wall and also providing a highway for squirrels onto our roof, a huge shrub and some out of control invasive ivy. They also trimmed back a Japanese magnolia that was being suffocated by a vine, but that I didn't want to part with because the flowers are so beautiful. These guys did a fantastic job. Joe and his workers are simply the best! They will not give you the lowest price offered by the slash and mutilate guys, but they WILL give you skill and expertise at a reasonable cost. I have used them for years and just last week had them trim and shape 4 large trees and 5 smaller trees, as well as clear out a lot of invasive grape ivy from my back yard. Yes, it cost quite a bit. But for the work the crews did for two days it was money well spent and reasonable. The finished job passed all expectations of my wife and myself. Monday we called King's in the early afternoon for an estimate. We told Joe we needed a ficus, about 40ft tall removed, the stump ground, plus two other stumps ground. He said he could be at the house before 3. When he arrived and gave us a fair quote, we agreed. I thought maybe tomorrow, but he said they could do it now. His crew arrived quickly. They got to work right away and cut it down being careful not to damage the fence or leave debris in the neighbor's yard. One of his crew said its a good thing we took it down because the roots were getting very close to the block wall and they would have soon caused damage. After they cleaned out the branches and the 4 bundled trunks, they brought in the stump grinder. They were very careful here, too, and avoided the sprinkler pipes and adjacent plants. Also they set up a large tarp between the house and work area to avoid any window damage from possible flying rocks. They advised me to stay away from the immediate area for safety reasons. They leveled the grind area and completely cleaned up the lawn. I was very impressed how quickly and efficiently they worked and the attention paid to small details and courtesies. Now in March 2015 they trimmed our crepe myrtle tree, Carolina cherry bushes, twisted junipers and removed a large bush. I have a very large tree that sprouted several other trees and as they grew taller they became a tangled mess. There were branches growing sideways with parts of the tree reaching the ground with many dead branches extending upwards to 8 feet with healthy canopy above.
