However, I was a bit surprised he didn't have reviews on Yelp. When I called, I spoke to Jay Alan (the owner) and the first thing I noticed was how service-oriented he was. He listened attentively, answered all of my questions without any rush and then wrote down my sister's inventory. He gave me a full quote for a truck, two guys, 3-4 hours of labor and we scheduled a time and date for the move. Three days before the move my sister purchased a sofa and accent chair from a family 12 miles from her new place. I called Jay and asked if we could incorporate an extra stop to pick up these items. Jay was extremely accommodating, gave me three different options and made suggestions to keep the cost down for my sister's move. On the day of the move Virgil and Keith arrived 10 minutes early and were extremely polite, friendly and ready to work. They took the upmost care to avoid the walls as they moved furniture out of the house, but they were quick and efficient. An hour and 35 minutes after they arrived we were on our way to our second location. At our second stop, Virgil and Keith handled my sister's newly purchased Thomasville sofa and chair with extreme care. The seller took note of this and before we left asked for their names and a business card for her upcoming spring move. Drop off went as smoothly as the rest of the move, the guys reassembled the necessary furniture with the same great attitude and we are happy to report ...without a scratch on anything. Moving can be a daunting and expensive experience and that's why I'm glad I found a reasonably priced and customer service minded company like Jayhaulit.

I have moved several times and I have a good expectation of professionalism and pace required. The crew showed up 45 minutes after the requested time. I knew there was an issue when they showed up in a U-Haul, and not a truck owned by the company. I would say the job took twice as long as all other moving companies have done. With a 1 year old at home, we needed this job done way before his bedtime and we came dangerously close to taking longer than that. 6.5 hours in total. Payment was requested before unloading at new location? I will not be using them again due to the unprofessional, dishonest, and shady communication skills utilized during this move. On the day of the move, they texted me with an ETA and were right on time as per the 1 hour window discussed. They were polite and professional and got right to work. My furniture packed, moved and unpacked was estimated at 2 hours and it came in just under since they worked so well as a team. They padded and wrapped my furniture to keep it safe and clean and everything arrived in good condition as they unpadded and unwrapped it as they placed it where I requested.
