When there was a big loss in my family this fall, my sisters and I worked with Bill Cutler, Sr. to make the needed arrangements. He was patient, kind, sympathetic, and explained all of our options. The family chooses the details but they make sure it happens from prayer cards, to the program, catering, etc. We had our luncheon following the service there on the property so no one had to leave to drive somewhere else. A nice feature is that memorial services are broadcast livestream so family overseas were able to witness the service in real time. The link is live for 30 days. What I didn't know beforehand is that they offer grief support groups regularly with licensed professionals. It's a safe place to talk about your loved one and grief in an accepted place where other people get it.

I lost my boyfriend one week ago. Cutler-O'Neill happened to be the funeral home on call and they…read moretook possession of his body. I called them later that morning and identified myself to the receptionist, explained that my boyfriend had passed and that he was currently at their funeral home. Her response was "okay" nothing else, not an I'm sorry for your loss or how can I help you, literally just okay and a long awkward silence until I finally said "I've never lost a boyfriend before, I don't know what to do" then she said "hang on" and transferred me to a man who didn't bother to identify himself and only cared about when I could come in. I did set an appointment but after thinking about how I was treated I didn't want them to handle my boyfriend's needs. I reached out to Hoy-Kilnoski and the difference in how I was treated was night and day. I did contact Cutler O'Neill to cancel my appointment and was told "okay" and then hung up on. Today I received a flyer from them addressed to my boyfriend's "family" inviting us to a seminar to help plan our final wishes. My great grandmother's vase was stuck with mud in the bronze vessel and I had a gentleman who was so kind and helped me get it open once again so I could put flowers inside. I also had the opportunity to talk to a woman earlier on in the year to help find some other family member's grave sites and she definitely went above and beyond to help me out. Death is never an easy thing to deal with, but it really helps when you have compassionate people to help you with your grieving process

Frankly the guy was an a**hole and many guests at the funeral mentioned it. Funeral was prepaid or we would have walked out. Even prepaid, they couldn't get it right! So disappointing, can't imagine what they do to the ones who haven't paid - pressure/hurry them to make poor decisions. Bad experience, please go elsewhere.
