Having toured several other schools, we were unable to find the right fit until we found CIS. Not only do they check off all of our boxes but they offer so much more than we could have ever asked for. In addition to providing a safe and secure environment, every staff member truly loves what they do and cares about each and every student. It is a home away from home and I know that each day that I leave my child in their hands, that she is more than well taken care of. They are extremely communicative and share classroom updates, school news and photos of my child each and every day. We love that it is project-based and a STEAM school as she has already learned so much! Additionally she is learning how to speak and write in Spanish and Mandarin! We absolutely LOVE her sweet teachers Mrs. Trujillo and Mrs. Alltop and couldn't be more grateful for this wonderful school and all the incredible people that work here!

There is a lot of modern technology, they even have robots. The staff is absolutely amazing! Everyone makes you feel at home. There is one class per grade which adds to the home like feeling since the school is small and more intimate. 1:8 ratio, each class has a total of 16 students and a teacher and educational assistant. So each child gets the attention they need. They also provide individual educational plans. The students learn BOTH Mandarin and Spanish. And they also offer global studies. It's project based learning so not a lot of homework and busy worksheet type work. I'm blown away with everything CIS has to offer my child! This school is everything I thought it would be! My child is thriving so much! And it feels like a real family here. I love how small and intimate it is. And I'm really looking forward to my child growing up with her classmates over the years. I highly recommend CIS to anyone that is looking for a unique school experience for their children. It's also a VERY safe environment. I never have to worry about my child which gives me so much peace of mind!

The markers of a successful business are growth and retention. The academy has neither. Don't let them lie to you & tell you they have a waiting list. As their school gets smaller their goal size for a classroom shrinks with it. All 4 of my kids left here very unsatisfied. My oldest was falsely accused of making threats with no evidence to back it up. My middle was bullied for a year and a half. It was brought to the leadership of the schools attention over & over, Ms Barb & Mr Rob took no action. At parent teacher conferences in October we had two teachers bring it up & say they were trying to work on it. We saw no results. We left mid year. My girls both left over a year behind & required 6mo of intense tutoring at Sylvan. They had been working 1-2 with Ms Barb as their tutor twice a week for an entire school year prior to us leaving. She claims to work well with dyslexic children, but she missed it in youngest completely. I brought it up more than once because I have dyslexia. My boys had both been with a private nanny their entire lives - and we were extremely nervous about transitioning them away from private home care and into a school environment. The Merryhill team was fantastic and so supportive during the transition. My youngest especially had a difficult time with the transition. The teachers were so patient and kind with his crying at drop off - and would provide us updates on how he was doing via the school app. I also really like how they have big windows into each classroom; I am able to watch my boys and see how happy they are in their classroom before they notice I am there to pick them up. Both of my boys absolutely adore their teachers (Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Liz, Ms. Nicole, and Ms. CeCe) and look forward to seeing their friends every day. Beyond my boys being comfortable and happy - they have also learned so much in their time at Merryhill. Nearly every day I'm surprised by something new they've learned - like my 4 year old learning how to count up to 100, count in tens, learning the months of the year, and starting to read. My youngest learns new words every day, has learned his colors, how to count to ten, and is learning important social skills (like how to share). We feel very fortunate to have found this school and have already re-enrolled them both for next year.

From the moment we first stepped on campus which is now 5 years ago, it just felt different -- warm, welcoming, and full of energy. The teachers are incredible -- caring, attentive, and truly invested in each child's growth. The curriculum strikes such a great balance between strong academics and creative, hands-on learning. My daughter has grown so much in both confidence and curiosity since starting here and even visits her favorite teacher Ms. Castro. The sports programs are another huge highlight! There's such a great community spirit, and it's clear that the staff..shout out to Mr. Kennedy...values teamwork, leadership, and fun just as much as skill. What I love most is how inviting the environment is. You can feel the pride and positivity in everything from the classrooms to the playground. It's a place where kids are genuinely excited to go to school every day. I love every year they have been introducing new electives from sewing to DnD to even a T Swift club that is engaging for everyone. What concerned me most was an incident involving a parent of the student who was bullying my daughter. While volunteering during school hours, the parent yelled at my daughter and taped her mouth shut to silence her. Looking back, I feel I should have contacted CPS...ect o When I brought the situation to the principal, I felt that the incident was dismissed rather than properly addressed, the principal let the Same parent volunteer and my daughter was afraid to eat in the cafeteria I had to do something and I was trying to be respectful and let staff deal with it since it's their job... When we ultimately decided to leave the school because of these issues, the school kept our $650 pre registration fee she did not respond to my email regarding it Or showed any policy for a refund. The admin had said it's up to the principal and they don't give refunds and I was ignored .I also tried to contact the senior pastor and church leadership directly but was unable to find a direct way to reach him Or any one for help, the email just leads back to the main email to admin to be controlled.
