At 9:25 I asked if anyone else could fit me in - there were 5 or 6 other barbers there and I was told sorry no they were all booked. I left completely annoyed. Without a haircut. It's a shame because this would have been my second time there. The first time I got a really good haircut from another barber. But I won't be back. I think it was completely unprofessional on their part and there are far too many barbers in the area. I will go elsewhere.

There is a separate waiting area with plenty of chairs, and walk-ins are welcome (of course customers who made reservations get first service). They have five barber's chairs and they were all full, but the three of us who didn't have appointments got in, I would estimate, in around 20 minutes. From my observation the barbers all have mad skills. The gentleman who cut my hair, well, he was like Edward Scissorhands. I've never seen anyone with the skills and speed he displayed cutting my hair, with little snippets of hair flying all around us. It was truly amazing. None of that matters if I didn't like my cut, but it's in the top 2 or 3 I've ever had. It'd probably be #1, but I'm giving points for degree of difficulty to earlier cuts when I had a lot more hair, and it was often pretty long. So bottom line is Rocky's will be my new barber shop, hopefully for a long time.

The younger man, like his particular clientele, has no class, manners, or business acumen. He cuts hair while talking on his cell phone, arrives late at the barber shop while his clients wait, and leave them in tr chair to chat with his friends who stop by. He relies on electric clippers to do a job that was once done by skill and with a steady hand. Perhaps the children lining up for their weekly haircuts don't mind the customer service, but the strong base does. A barber shop is a traditionally sacred place, a place of respect where there is a code of conduct and trust that should not be violated. This barber shop is slowly becoming more like the world at-large, and that is bad news for those of us over the age of 25. Go before noon and it's great.
