Recommendation? HIGHLY Recommend! [TWICE!!!] From 4-yrs ago: - Foyer, Dining Room, Great Room, Library, Bathroom & Halls; Also to Install 13 Oak Stair Treads. John Andrews had removed our present hardwood floor 4-years ago; Replacing it with 5" Hand Sculpted Solid Oak. The coordination and schedule were perfectly on target. Gustavo and his Team did a great job and were both professional & personable. The rep, Pat, showed up occasionally to ensure no issues had arisen. Very impressive. Quality of Workmanship was amazing! So nice of a job and experience that we had them return 4-years later to install the same in our kitchen. Present Job: We had requested that Gustavo, who is still with the company, return due to his wonderful job last time. Not sure what happened but another Team, Shane & Thomas arrived. I was reluctant but decided to continue with this 'other' Team. WOW! Shane and Thomas were both TOTALLY AWESOME! Again, very professional and personable. I am VERY impressed and surprised with their abilities to continue the flooring from room to room in such a seamless fashion! Again, John Andrews had proven to be an amazing company to work with. His administrative Team worked together and made this 'last minute' request happen within days! Allowing ample time for plank acclamation and as promised delivery and install timeframes. Workers spoke highly of each other, other Teams within JA and of John, the owner. We just had John Andrew Flooring complete a carpet conversion to hickory and then refinish our entire first floor of our house. Their team arrived on schedule every day, worked throughout the day and finished the project as planned. If you only care how the hardwood you picked out looks and not crackly sounding floors or the devastation to your walls, trim boards and wall paint then this is the company for you. They have a great selection of products but the snap-crackle-pop sound every time we walk on the hardwood still a year later negates the aesthetics. We spent hours spackling holes in the walls, repainting multiple rooms and replacing or painting trim boards. They did not discount our final payment calling the damage part of the process. read more

Posting on behalf of my grandparents, who passed away earlier this year. My mother inherited their house. John Andrew Flooring installed these floors in January 2014. As you will see, they are cupping and buckling. John Andrew sent Pat, the salesman who sold the flooring. He checked the humidity and crawl space and said the numbers were normal. Pat said he would talk with John and have a product representative come out and examine flooring. John Andrews didn't call back. So far, he refuses to do anything about this installation. read more

We recently have had new carpet, hardwood floors and banisters completed at our home by John Andrews. Wow...I feel like I live in a new home. John Andrew exceeded our expectations on all fronts. With selection of hardwood, he convinced me of refinishing our old prefinished floors, he matched it beautifully with our new kitchen! We were shocked at how those old floors could look brand new again. Also during the selection of carpeting, very helpful finding just right product for our home. I visited this company's reference customer and saw good results. They promised to do the floor refinishing job to my satisfaction multiple times and absolutely did not do so. I have significant amounts of dust, hair and sanding grit trapped under the polyurethane on at least half of the boards. They came out to try to make it better by using a scuff pad and putting down another coat of polyurethane. Some of the dust and grit is gone, but they left semicircular sanding marks all over the place and there is still plenty of material under the final coat. When I showed the owner, John Andrew, he said that it is just a floor and that there is nothing wrong with it. We agreed to disagree, because I had been living in my basement for over a week already. I've showed neighbors, who said that they would not be happy with the job either. That has already cost this company two jobs that he could have had with a satisfactory result. Additionally, for the carpet replacement, he quoted 255 square yards, while two other firms quoted 155 and 160 square yards. Needless to say, we bought from one of them instead. My floors look terrible. they look ugly and using this company was a waste of money Every step of the job was a fight, all issues that were discussed he ignored me .because he was already paid. I asked for the wide planks to be used. He put in a different size and threw my good wood away. No flooring was put under my stove or cabinets as asked for. All the food cooks on a slant. The floors were not sanded enough. they look hideous and need to be redone. There was a flood and he was pre paid by my lender. and took advantage of the situation. His workers whine about how overworked they are. They moved furniture and put a huge gouge in my office floor. He refused to fix it and blamed his friend who never touched the furniture. I am truly disappointed in the poor, horrible quality of the work that was done. read more

Good finished product, but TERRIBLE on the customer service and business side of things. I had to followup multiple times to get John Andrew to come out and quote what was almost 2/3rd of my entire house I wanted to get done. He finally came, did the master quote and we agreed on 3 phases (it was expensive) because we couldn't afford it all at once. Phase 1 went great, again, nice finished product. Their workers did bust the front door blinds and when we showed it to John Andrew, he taped them back together and refused to replace them and even went so far as to claim it wasn't his guys (we all know it was because they were in/out the front door for 4 days) Getting phase 2 scheduled was where they went wrong with us. I personally visited their office and sat down with Tony to go over the rooms we needed resurfaced and stained. He took the info and said he would have John call me to schedule. Days later, no call back. Should I really have to beg these guys for my business? Heck no... we had already paid for a $6000 job and were about to give them another $2000 in business for Phase 2. I called and left a message and John Andrew called me the next afternoon. The quote he sent for phase 2 was different that what we initially discussed so I had to resend him the original quote. He came back with the usual (our vendors costs went up, insuance, etc). Baloney!.... Its only a stain job not fresh new hardwoods! Also, miraculously, the available start date he gave me the day prior all of sudden wasn't available the next day when I called him back to discuss the price discrepancy. Mind you, this is after I had discussed my dates with Tony a week prior. There are other things that happened but in general this guy acts like he's doing us a favor by allowing us to use his services! If I ran a business, this is exactly the opposite of how I'd treat my customers who want to give me green money. I'm taking the rest of my business elsewhere rather than do business with a jerk. I have hired this company to tile my bathroom. The owner was supposed to show up. Instead he sent a worker. When it was time to start the project two other people showed up to do the job. One did not even speakk english, the other had a major attitude, rude and disrespectful. I was promised the job will be done within one working day and it lasted two days of which i had to lose a day of work. One of the workers did not know how to cut tile and wasted a box of tile, the other told me he will not continue unless he will do it the way he is used to. Needless to say after a screaming match i got what i wanted, but that aggravation was not worth it. The owner John Andrew only showed up to pick up the check. They never bothered to return to seal the floor. I am so done with this company. I will never hire them or refer them to anyone. Very disappointed! read more

I would highly recommend John Andrews Flooring. I had beveled wood floors in my kitchen and foyer, they were able to sand down and match my old existing floors with new wood floors though out the rest of my house. Cannot tell the old from the new. I really appreciated Pat the Sales person making frequent trips out to my house to check on the progress. Javair and his crew were great, very hard working, always on time and very PROFESSIONAL . I had an issue with a prior contractor leaving an unfinished job. John Andrews came out within 24 hours to finish the job, and I was SO pleased. They had all kinds of proper equipment for the job (unlike the prior contractor I had used). Rafeal did a top notch job, and I was totally comfortable leaving him alone in the house. He has been working for John Andrews for years. I have been driving by John Andrew's store ever since I moved to the area 8 years ago, and would totally recommend! They converted carpeted steps into hardwood steps, and they look awesome! read more

Great job competing with Lowes and eating their quote by $1,000! Chris came out and quoted within hours of my call. Two weeks later the carpet installation was done with the same type high end 25 year carpet quoted from Lowes. Their carpet installer was great and came with years of experience. I do recommend John Andrew. read more

John Andrew Flooring did a fantastic job on my floors, we are very happy. We had them install hardwood up the stairs and down the hallway, and they put in carpet in all of the bedrooms. They were on time, always answered my phone calls, and took great pride in their work. I was concerned about my freshly painted walls throughout the process, worried that they would get dinged up by carelessness, but they did not make a single ding in my new paint. WOW!!! Just had my floor done by John Andrew Flooring and I could not be more pleased. The owner came out for the estimate and advised us on Vinyl Plank flooring that looks like hardwood because we have 2 Great Dane's and a Labrador Retriever. He gave us lots of samples and even talked to us about putting down an E rated pad that would help prevent the echo sound that you would get with laminate flooring. When the flooring was delivered to my house to let it acclimate for a week, the owner showed up to go over the process with me and answer any questions. The job started the following Monday and his installers Gustavo & Elvis showed up right on time along with the owner. The job went by smooth and they ripped out all of my flooring throughout my entire house and installed Vinyl Plank flooring. Gustavo & Elvis were very meticulous and OCD when installing my floors, because if it was not perfect, then it was not up to their standards. When Gustavo & Elvis finished a room, they would put the furniture back and applied protective pads under all the furniture. John Andrew came by during the week to check up on the job as well as to do the final walkthrough. I could not be more pleased with his recommendation and the work that his guys did. The Vinyl plank flooring is great for my big dogs because it is scratch proof and waterproof. Also, within 1 day of having these floors put down, I am no longer taking allergy meds because of all the dander buildup in my previous carpet and this vinyl plank flooring was installed over a month ago.
