John was by FAR our most rewarding purchase for our wedding. From the initial meeting to our engagement shoot, to the day of, he was professional, on time, and armed to the gills with his kit. The pictures were promised within a short time after the wedding, and in the case of the engagement shoot, the entirety was edited and posted to his password protected client portion of his website within one day! An amazing photographer and an honor to have at our wedding. I'm posting a pair of photos here which I think captures some of John's skill. John caught some planes that happened to be flying along the coastline while we were shooting. He was able to catch a photo with the planes in the background, then switch lenses quickly to get a zoom photo of the planes without skipping a beat. read more

We hired John to be our wedding photographer after seeing wedding photos of a co-worker that he shot. I was so impressed. The day of, I found John to be a professional who has an eye for not only the standard "shots" people want, but for the creative element as well. He has a sense of humor so he helps capture the shots you wouldn't even think to have requested. He made us all feel so comfortable and really captured the essence of our day, not just the formal pictures. I loved all the candids he took of the venue, the guests, and all the activities. This review is well overdue! John was our wedding photographer in April 2012, and we are so thankful to him for the absolutely amazing wedding photos!! Finding John was completely by accident and a complete blessing at the same time. We were looking up another John Muller we had heard of and I contacted the wrong one, and I am soooo thrilled I did!! At first I was bummed that he lived outside our Silicon Valley area, but then he said he had no problem traveling..yayyy!! I saw that his work was amazing, and that he really utilizes light in a fantastic and artistic way, and I just new he was the one for us! We had previously contacted a photographer in San Francisco with a similar style and he wanted $5K, so my next question to John was how much. He explained how much he loves what he does and he charged us a few thousand dollars less!! He also made the extensive drive and charged us for gas and a fast food meal only. How amazing is that?! We are so grateful to him! He was wonderful to work with, we had pleasant conversation, great e-mail contact, and he delivered 700 photos to us in a timely manner that were gorgeous! Literally everyone we know comments on how amazing our photos are. Lastly, at our wedding he was like a super ninja, everywhere getting every shot and yet never really seen..now that is a true professional. Working with John Mueller has been a dream come true! From the first time we exchanged emails 9 months before my wedding to the Big Day, he has been incredibly professional, charismatic, and easy to work with. He has a true talent for photography - but more importantly, he has a passion for it which is showcased through his enthusiasm and energy while working. We were fortunate enough to book John and even schedule some time for an engagement photo shoot which was a great way to ensure that our personalities work well together - and I can honestly say that my husband and I left that meeting with a very confident outlook towards our photographer which is almost as important as finding the right dress! John is also very thorough, dependable and prompt with addressing our questions and suggestions whether months before the wedding or on the big day. He is very knowledgable of where the best shots were to be found since he scoped our wedding venue out long before our wedding day - this was huge because we were able to get some really meaningful shots. He also made sure we made a trip down to the beach with his assistant at dusk to capture the most incredible shots of my husband and I as the sun was setting. This was a process since the party was in full swing and the beach required a shuttle and getting messy, but he was committed to the cause and knew we would appreciate the special images. We are so pleased that John was able to work with our budget and provide overall exceptional service. Finally, I mentioned that it was important for me to obtain my photos shortly after the wedding - he promised and he delivered! John is an amazing Photographer! He is a true professional and knows exactly how to get beautiful shots. We've had several photographers come in and take pictures of our Optometry practice and those pictures always came out washed out from our bright LED lights. However John somehow was able to have our pictures look like we had natural light come in to our store. He also directed everybody and took charge to make incredible interactive photos. My family from Alaska came to visit me in California for three weeks. We wouldn't have the girl cousins in the same room for many years to come, so I booked John B Mueller Photography to capture this moment in time. He delivered more than he promised! John helped us to relax with his great sense of humor. His keen eye for a great shot was evident as he was aware of everything happening around him. My family wanted a simple beach shot. To a group of Alaskans, this was a big deal. John captured the golden light, the foam on the water, the crashing waves, and the total fun that comes with running on a beach and jumping in water.
