After many years of dental problems, I sought out a periodontist who would be near me, near where…read moremy mother was living, and be reasonably priced. It was a HUGE MISTAKE when I chose Concord Lexington Periodontics! Under their (non-existent) care I was subject to pain, infection, and lack of response to messages. It started with four teeth needing to be removed. I was told it would take an hour. It took nearly four! The 4 teeth were wrongly broken up into tiny pieces which had to be extracted 1 by 1. I complained at the time about all the debris going down my throat. 5 days later I was in the ED @ Brigham and Women's Hospital with severe bacterial pneumonia. They kept me there for 5 days! I didn't put it together, but 4 days after she pulled out the remaining teeth, I was back in the hospital again with bacterial pneumonia. They have no emergency phone number, and yet the doctor thought nothing of taking a three-week vacation. She refused to give me painkillers. I was living on amoxicillin, tylenol, and Motrin throughout the 6 week process. I couldn't go back there to finish & get the implants. After the pain and infection she put me through, the bone grafts leaked and it was clear I had to fire her. I went to my dentist who was agast by what he saw and immediately sent me to an oral surgeon to undo the damage that they had done. $2,000 later and I'm still healing from the surgery. NO ONE should go to this practice! It's butchery at its best. The pain, the sloppy work, and the fact that the periodontist herself showed no mercy & rarely returned phone calls and texts is reason enough to STAY AWAY!

There is a new owner, Dr. Verdier. I had been going to this practice for over 35 years (to see Drs…read more Bader and Freedman, who are now are retired) and been pleased about the care. Dr. Verdier's practice will not tell you if their staff has been vaccinated. They say it's government regulations; it's up to the individual workers to say if they are vaccinated; they are not mandated to be vaccinated. The dental assistant (not the hygienist) that was to work on me wore only a surgical mask and we were in a small room. She admitted when asked that she was not vaccinated. I was upset that she was defensive and this put me on the defensive. I refused the procedure which involved pictures of my gums. On a later call to resolve this matter, I was told that the assistant would not even wear an N95 mask, more protective than the surgical mask. The Dr. was also defensive as was the receptionist the front desk, all blaming government regulations. Dr. Verdier told me that maybe his practice is not the right one for me. I found another periodontist, recommended, whose front desk assured me that those working in their office were all vaccinated. Oddly the workers in that office were also not required to say one way or another whether they were vaccinated but at least the practice gave me an assurance they were and welcomed me.

I'll be the first to admit that going to the dentist can be a scary experience. Not surprisingly, I…read morealso had pretty bad teeth for years due to this fear. I first starting going to Dr. Kennedy after I had a tooth crack, as I didn't have a regular dentist to go to. He was able to see me the next morning, and didn't even charge me for an "emergency visit" even though it definitely qualified. He was more concerned with my teeth then how much money he'd be making off of me. Dr. Kennedy and his team understood how nervous I was, and were very gentle throughout the whole process. Their skill and professionalism came through at every turn. I immediately scheduled more appointments with him to work on the rest of my mouth. Now, here we are 2-3 years later, and my mouth is completely cavity-free. My teeth have never looked better, and I'm now pursuing braces through them. I recommend Dr. Kennedy to everyone I know, and will continue to do so. He is great at what he does, and his team feel more like friends than staff at this point. Special shout-out to Ruth for always being awesome!

My regular dentist retired and for quite a while, I searched for a new dentist who I could trust to…read moredo some work on my teeth such as a crown, implant etc. Since I did not have insurance, I called before making an appointment to inquire as to the cost of x-rays and explain what I expected from the visit; x-rays and a consultation for all that is needed. No cleaning. I was quoted a price. On the day of the appointment I did not get a chance to see the dentist before the x-ray technician. She came into the room introduced herself and proceeded to set me up for the x-rays. I am a senior citizen and have had many x-rays. None have ever hurt before. Uncomfortable on occasion but, never real pain. I am not sensitive to pain and I usually have teeth filled without the Novocain. This was the worst experience in a dentist office of my life. I don't know what she was doing wrong but, it was evident that something wasn't right. She was hurting me so that I had to push her hand away a couple of times. Each time she pushed it aside and tried again. She tried several times and each time it hurt more. No apologies, just a statement saying she had to get it done. After the x-rays, the doctor came in and did an exam. He hurt me with every single tooth he touched. I have never ever had that happen in the past. I still don't understand why he hurt me. Neither my mouth nor my teeth have been or are sensitive but, they were sore for a couple of days after his exam. In the beginning of the appointment, I explained to Dr. Kennedy that I wanted to come back in after he looked over the x-rays and discuss options and recommendations. I did not commit to any work. At the front desk, I was shocked to find out the cost was more than 2X what I was originally quoted for the visit. I inquired about the difference and was told that was it. That's the charge for the visit. At a later date, I returned for the consultation and was ushered into the room and told to sit in the chair and the dental assistant started to put the bib on me and told me to sit back. I refused, telling her I was there for a consultation. She continued to try to push me back in the chair. She made me uncomfortable. Then doctor came in and briefly went over what he saw in the x-rays. He said I should start with a particular tooth "because it is going to blow any minute". I refused and told him I wasn't there to get work done only to review my options and make a decision what to do first. I expected to get a list of the needed work with pricing and any options (this is what I asked for) that may be available to me, if any. He was not happy and definitely expressed his displeasure. He did not have the price of any individual item. He said he would have to put that together for me. This what I asked for at the start. He didn't even seem willing to give me a price for the work he wanted to do on this day. After requesting a copy of my x-rays and his recommendations with pricing, I left. He said he would have to mail it to me. I wanted an itemized list of his recommendations and my options. I did not get it. I had asked for this at the first appointment and he did not have it ready for me on the second visit. He just assumed, wrongly, that I would just go with what he recommended. This experience in Dr. Robert Kennedy's office was the worst ever for me. He shamelessly tried to upsell everything that was needed. This is a doctor, in my opinion, interested in only one thing; making money. Listening to his patients is not in his own best interests. He ignored my initial request for information. I would give him less than one star if I could. I felt I could not trust this dentist to listen to me.
