As someone with over 20 fillings completed by 5 different dentists, I can firmly say Dr. Gluskin is absolutely the most knowledgeable, patient and understanding. I basically was running away from the needle and he brought me down for the work to be completed. As I prepared for pain and literally grabbed the chair harder than Thor could have, he began what was the most PAINLESS experience at the Dentist in my life. The filling was among the largest 3 I've had filled of the 20 or so, and it was the most "pleasant". I was comfortably laying throughout the experience. To boot, the filling feels natural - not sure if other people have experienced that super smooth weird filling-feeling, but this filling feels "natural" and "jaded" as opposed to be slippery/smooth surface. I didn't have insurance at the time, so this would have been very expensive. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Salusti, who was my dentist from back in high school. He informed me that I needed the cavities filled, but the gum grafting was not necessary. He told me to switch to a powered toothbrush to keep my gums from receding, and that he would monitor the gums to see if it got any worse. 8 months later and the procedure was not necessary, saving me a few thousand dollars. He even gave me advice regarding dental insurance. Salusti and his entire staff are very friendly, and seem to genuinely care about their patients. This office is a rare find, and I highly recommend them.

I called and they looked up my email in the system, took down my insurance card info but couldn't confirm whether or not they take my insurance (which is a major provider), and promised to call back to confirm. Didn't ever receive a call back and have been calling for days to no avail - no one answers the phone. I called a different practice who was able to confirm they take my insurance and book an appointment for me within minutes. It's a shame as Quality Dental is much closer to my home, but it's not worth committing to a practice that clearly doesn't care about its patients and do the things they say they're going to do.

I needed a root canal pretty bad and my father recommended Dr. Lee since Dr. Lee had done good work with my father's teeth. My father told me Dr. Lee used to be a professor in a dental school in New York. So, I wouldn't doubt Dr. Lee's experience. There is another dentist in the same office whom is Dr. Peter Lee's brother. Dr. Lee was able to examine my bad tooth and performed the first root canal procedure on my first visit; 2 more visits are needed to complete the root canal and then another one for the crown. The price he quoted is much lower than the quote I got from another dentist who is much younger with less experience compared with Dr. Lee. The root canal was less painful than I expected and I am sure Dr. Lee's experience helped a lot to minimize the pain! It was not painful at all and nothing too scary except the burring smell and the high pitch drilling noise; no dentist can help with the last two unless if you are completely knocked out by heavy anesthesia... Dr. Lee is not the talkative type but he was extremely professional when answering all my questions and concerns about my root canal. He even told me not to brush my teeth for 30 minutes after consuming acidic foods and drinks such as orange juice, coke etc. The acid would soften the tooth enamel and should not be brushed immediate until the softness goes away after 30 minutes. You always learn something new! Most of Dr. Lee's patients are elders and Dr. Lee gives everyone extremely reasonable rates, so I personally think he is not in it for the profits and more for the joy of helping people! BTW, this is right next to the Brookline Centre street municipal meter parking lot so parking is always not an issue unless on a Red Sox game day. Warning, the parking lot uses payment machines and not individual meters; you pay at one of the machines and put the receipt on your car's dash. I have diabetes and he took that into consideration when cleaning my teeth and the advice he offered me at the end of the appointment (something very few dentists have done over my life). It's described by others as a no-frills place, which I can see, but it's also a smaller, very clean, and well run business. The receptionist was efficient and very nice to me and the waiting room is pleasant to be in. They are one of the few dental practices in the area that takes MassHealth and actually has open appointments which I really appreciate. I had a lunchtime appointment and did have to wait a little bit before being seen, so if you're on a tight schedule this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, I have nothing but positive things to say!

He advised that the tooth had been repaired several times before and would need a crown. Because I was leaving state soon, he recommended that I find a new dentist in MA to do the work. Dr. Stokowski was a short walk from where I was staying at the time, and seemed as good of a dentist as any. Boy, was I wrong! First off, when I stopped by to make the appointment, I gave them a copy of my insurance card with the dental info on the back. The receptionist was rude, but I chalked it up to a bad day. I went in later for the appointment, and even though his website says his office is "state of the art", his equipment was new, literally, in the 1950's. I told him what my previous dentist had recommended and asked for a crown. He inspected the tooth, and said he was just going to do a large filling. He seemed to think that was all I needed, so I agreed, against my better judgement. He did the work, and I was numb and comfortable enough, until he dropped the drill on the floor, picked it up, and went to put it right back into my mouth. No way. After he cleaned it up, he finished the work, and I went to the receptionist to check out. She asked me if I had a dedicated dental insurance card, and I told her no, our insurance does not issue one. She asked me to get a phone number and I explained it is listed on the back of the medical ID card I gave her. She insisted that I call and get her more information. I went home, and within 15 minutes was on the phone getting her the information she had asked for. I hung up with the insurance, called her back, and proceeded to give her the information. She refused to take it by phone, insisting that I write it down, and bring it back to her. I hung up and refused to make the trek back just because she couldn't lift a pen. I then went into the bathroom to inspect the work that had been done in my mouth. The filling was several shades darker then the rest of my teeth! Like VERY noticeably darker. I was not happy. Not too long later, I got a bill from the office demanding that I pay for the full amount. I wrote the insurance information on it, and sent it back. I got three more bills, before they finally billed the insurance, and then the next bill included a copy of the denial letter and asked for a full payment. The reason given on the insurance denial letter? "Practitioner has not provided this office with enough information to determine necessity of procedures." I circled this, wrote "DO YOUR JOB" on the bill, and sent it back. It being now months later, and having finally been able to move into our new home, I found a permanent dentist in our new home town. I scheduled cleanings for the whole family, and when it came to my turn, the dentist mentioned how much darker the tooth was than the others, and then proceeds to tell me that it's going to have to have a crown done because there is a cavity under it. Less than one year after I had it done in Strokowski's office, and now I have to pay for the filling AND the crown I had originally asked for. And I FINALLY got a bill yesterday showing that they got my insurance squared away. At this point, however, I am not sure I want to pay for the "work" they did. In summary, the office was antiquated, the dentist wanted to put dirty tools in my mouth, the receptionist was very rude every time I tried to work with her, and they don't want to be bothered with your insurance. Would I recommend this dentist to someone else? Not even my worst enemies. There's thousands of better dentists and my recommendation to you is to find one.
