Everyone at the office is nice and professional and the rooms are clean. However, the wait time…read morefor an appointment is at least an hour, sometimes more. In fact, I made my last appointment for the first one of the day, but I still waited at least 1 1/2 hours! She seems thorough, but her office also bills me for my co-pay each time I call to get a script renewed. Moreover for my yearly medicare exam, she ordered blood work, but only to check for Vitamin D deficiency!? Having said all this, if the wait time was reasonable, I would stay, but I am now searching for someone new,

Was told to come in for an office visit that week because they don't give lab results over the phone or email. I already had a follow up appointment scheduled for later, but came in early trying to do the right thing for my health. In that appointment the NP read the test results to me. Repeated the same information the doctor had already told me before at the last appointment. I don't have insurance currently, so that cost $125.00 to have results read to me in person that I had read and comprehended from home. The NP then said the office visit could've waited, it was non-emergent. I left a message with the receptionist, asking the office manager to get back to me for being required to come in and charged for an extra visit that wasn't necessary. Received no call from the office manager or anyone from the office.. Last month I sent a message on the patient portal asking for this to be addressed. I asked for the last appointment to be refunded or for the follow up appointment to not require $125 fee from me.. Almost 3 weeks later and still no reply. Today I called and asked about it and was told that the office manager left a note saying that no refund would be given. Very poor business practice that no one could call me or respond in the patient portal. That doesn't feel like patient care. It feels like being charged extra whenever possible. And definitely lacking compassion for somebody who doesn't have insurance & is between jobs too. The doctor, the NP and the receptionists that I have interacted with have been compassionate. But it doesn't seem like the doctor is very connected to how the office manager is handling their business. This situation does not instill confidence or foster trust in me as a patient.

Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. Fort Walton Beach Medical Center - Horrendous!! Can someone explain why a flu test is $1,189. No blood work, no imaging, no IV, or IV fluids, no meds. Saw an NP for 5 min.

Says no appointment needed, they take walk in. We drive for 18 min to get there at 4:37 for the receptionist to tell me they take their last appointment at 4:30. Nowhere is it posted online that way. Just a small white line on the window of the building that the receptionist argued with me on. So she refused to let us be seen. There was another person who walked in same time as us that also got turned away. They need to update their hours, website and hire more caring and compassionate people.

I could barely drive myself to this location having suffered heat exhaustion and now I was having to continue to drive to the hospital which I was trying to avoid. She said the provider had to leave early I'm guessing maybe he wanted to catch the sunset on his boat but I will not ever visit this establishment again very very unprofessional they couldn't even post something on the door so I sat knocking because I could see the woman inside. If you're going to operate a business such as an urgent care and you're going to have posted hours you should operate a business during the hours and have secondary provider if you are unable to operate this business during the hours you post. Shame on you
