My appointment was scheduled for 2:45 , I got there at 2:30pm the office was busy. Each time they came out with a folder , I was hoping they would call my name but they didn't. After about an hour I was finally called into the exam room. I had an X-Ray done onsite., 10 mins later Dr. Gerber came into the exam room. Dr. Gerber has good bed side manner. He looked over my MRI reports that I brought to the office as well as the X-Rays. He was attentive and offered several treatment options, I didn't feel pressure to my decision. referred me to a great physical therapy place. Although my visit with Dr. Gerber went well , I would probably see him again at a different location.

They work in sync like a band that's been playing together for years, lapping around and making sure all patients are engaged and progressing through the various treatments/exercises in their respective treatment plans. I came here in August with a ruptured Achilles that I had surgery to repair, and walked out (literally!) just a few months later, and far earlier than the surgeon had expected. That's a true testament to the time and attention everyone here gave to me, referring frequently to my chart and the well-taken notes, gradually adding weight and/or repetitions on, and mixing in new exercises when appropriate. I also really appreciated the overall vibe here. Good music is always playing (could be 90s grunge, pop country, or classic rock, depends on who takes over the playlist!) staff are all friendly with the patients and with each other, and there's a great mix of folks in here to chat with. The walls are decorated with staff photos, pics of their kids, etc. and little league team photos from the teams they sponsor! Short version: It's about as fun as physical therapy can be! She has been working with my son for over 12 months and when we first started coming here he was not even sitting independently. He is now confidently walking and running and even jumping. Directed me right through feeling like first class treatment Elizabeth Entry Specialist screened me in with temperature Covid -19 questions and hand sanitizer to be used. LPN Karen checked me in asked necessary questions being very through to caution and seriousness to procedure. Rhonda provided vitals and Maria brought me into procedure. The office is located in the Chase Bank bldg on the north side of Merrick Rd. Suite 300. The office is definitely NOT fancy at all. Far from it. But.... She is amazing. Soo caring & very thorough . She'll call you after hrs & always seems to be available. She's not a prescription writer so if you're the type looking for pain pills...she's not the Dr for you. She's very "by the book" & always looking out for your entire well being... Physically, mentally etc. She also offers a vitamin IV treatment. I've done it a few times & I did feel healthier afterwards. I've turned a few friends onto Dr Levitz & they go several times a week for the IV treatments. All in all.... I think she's pretty fantastic!!
