I have been a patient of Dr. John Hakim since early 2017. I have seen him regularly since that time to follow up on my heart failure. Doctors like him are rare these days. He never makes you feel he is in a hurry to get you out and call in the next patient. Instead, he always does a full clinical consultation, a detailed interview, keeps a record of every progress, and above all, he gives you, the patient, a real education on your condition, your progress, explains the medications you're taking, how they work, and why you need them. He has the right equipment to monitor my implanted cardiac device, and pilot it when needed. Every visit with Dr. Hakim is an education and a pleasant experience. Besides seeing him at his practice, I have had access to him through email, phone, and text messaging. He has always responded to my queries, giving me medical advice, or ordering medications for me. I went to Virginia Beach and on the way down I realized that I leftmy meds at home. I cared Dr. Hakim and he called in all my prescriptions so that I would still be able to stay consistent with taking my meds. It's very rare to get 5hat kind of service nowadays.
