Used to be great but seems service quality has gone down. Staff seem very stressed, overwhelmed and busier. They say they are currently short staffed based on number of appointments...so why is that not being fixed? Meanwhile I saw a bunch of sales people sitting around doing absolutely nothing. My visit felt rushed whereas before I felt I had more time to discuss my car with staff. They didnt even have enough people to help move customer cars that were piled up. Such a shame and a very bizarre business practice. FYI: if you want more customers (and profit), you need employees. Makes me think they dont care about customers anymore and they certainly dont seem to care about their service staff. read more

Went to the dealership, test drove, chose the make and model. Set up an appointment to purchase a car which was delivering in two business days. My sales rep promised me the car took it off the line and an hour before my appointment to buy the car, he left me a voice message saying someone sold the car. Poor business, i was ready to buy the car the day before but he wanted to leave the office early. Strung me along as the car was delayed in delivery two days, just to sell it to someone the morning of my appointment. read more

I took an occasional use car thee for annual state inspection. I bought the car new there and it has only 16k miles on it. Halfway through the service manager told be there was debris on the air filter and recommended it be changed. I declined. When I got home I removed the filter for inspection. There were parts of a leaf of no more than one square inch. Mazda, service interval is 27.5K miles. When I confronted the manager he refused to acknowledged the absurd and profit motivated recommendation. Don't go there. You can expect the same advice. Here's a pic! read more

I love this dealer! This is the second car I've purchased from them. The staff are polite and respectful. They answered all my questions without being condescending or treating me like a "dumb girl". The dealership is clean and well maintained. Safety precautions are in place to make the customer feel safe while on the property. An appointment is required for the sales team but I did not feel like this was an inconvenience as they worked around my schedule. The advanced notice allowed them to wipe down a car for test drives. They were fair with the appraisal of my old vehicle and offered additional incentives for being a return customer. My salesperson, Kaj Seel, was awesome! I loved chatting with him. He was very knowledgeable about all Mazda vehicles and easily guided me through the purchase of my new car. Set up an appointment for an oil change, at no point was I told it was drop off only. I arrived at 715 for my appointment at 725. Customer Service person pulls in after me as I was standing by the door waiting, goes straight into the other entrance, I sit there for another 20 mins before knocking. When he comes to the door I ask "is it drop off only" he says Yes. My wife and I just had a baby so it's not that easy to change everything in vehicles and it's a 20 min oil change. So I say "well I wish someone would've told me that I needed to arrange something". Do you know when you could get to it? He replied "no I have others in from of you" then I asked to reschedule, he just huffed and said "were really busy".... OK I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Do not buy your car from a John Kennedy dealership. Their sales manager, Michael Armstrong, is a liar, raised his voice to my girlfriend and myself, and even took off his mask while we were in the same confined room as him. This kind of unprofessionalism and neglect to our lives is incredibly disrespectful. The other (non-John Kennedy) Mazda dealerships in the area offer significantly better prices and better customer service. Don't waste your time. TLDR version of my story (too long to post here) - Requested an out the door price for a car. Were provided a number. Double checked that number and verbatim said "This is the out the door price, right? Taxes, fees, etc all included?" Came back the next day to buy the car at the agreed upon price and verified one more time on the price and details. Went into financing to do paperwork. After 2+ hours, we are about the sign the final piece of paper when I notice a number that is $5,500 higher than what we agreed upon. Sales manager came in and raised his voice that it is the number we agreed upon and we are wrong, even condescending us. Takes off his mask while in the same, closed door, small office space and continued to raise his voice. We walked out on the deal and bought our car from a different dealership. Second dealership was much more professional and valued our health and wellbeing. I highly advise against anyone from buying a car here. Their sales manager is a liar, he is disrespectful, and he has no regard for your wellbeing as he took off his mask while raising his voice in a confined indoor area. While I can't say how their service department is, I wouldn't take my chances. read more

Every time I go in Rich Y and Jack H are so friendly and answer any questions I have. Service fees are fair and cheaper then most in the area. They go out of their way to make sure you are 100% satisfied. The shuttle is also a nice touch if you need to go anywhere local while you car is being serviced. read more

My 08 CX-9 had two outstanding safety recalls. Additionally, two of the tires would not stay inflated. Some research online had me suspecting the tire pressure sensor valve stems. I took the car to John Kennedy, which is the closest Mazda dealership to me, but still a good 40 minute drive in traffic. They did the recall service and confirmed that one of the valve stems had a leak. They couldn't figure out the other leak, so they suggested removing the tires, cleaning the wheels, and re-mounting them. So, I gave them approval to replace all four valve stems and to re-mount all four tires. I picked up the car later in the evening. On the drive home, it seemed to be handling poorly. Driving it the next day, it was clear that something was seriously wrong. Above 45 mph it felt like the car was very unstable and unsafe. I noted that they'd under-inflated all of the tires at 35 psi when they're clearly marked for 44 psi. Fixing that didn't change the stability issue. I called JKM and they told me that whoever did the service hadn't re-balanced the tires when they remounted them. So I had to drop the car off again to have them fix it. I just picked up the car again and, it's much better but the alignment now seems a bit off. It had been aligned well before I took it to JKM. I understand that mistakes sometimes get made. But this just seems like downright sloppy work - both the failure to balance the tires and inflate them properly on the first visit and then not addressing the alignment on the second. I will not ever take a vehicle back to this place. read more

DISHONEST PRACTICES FOR SERVICE. The only reason this is two stars is because at least they were reasonably pleasant when screwing me over, and the work was quick when it actually got done. I came in on a day for an inspection where there was snow on the ground. I scheduled it as a state inspection, and told them, when I arrived, that i was there for a STATE INSPECTION. I don't know about anyone else, but never at any other dealship or auto garage or shop, do you EVER have to give them your insurance or registration UNLESS you are getting a STATE INSPECTION. So I wait no more than an hour. "Great!" I thought. They hand me back all my stuff I get home. I notice, oops they forgot to put the sticker on. No big deal, must have just been a simple mistake. I call em up and tell them this, they say bring it on in. I get back to the dealership and the say "oh you just got an inspection". And I'm like "yup I sure did!". They say "oh no..like, not a state inspection...just a regular inspection". I stare confused, because, all parties had agreed prior that I was to receive an official state inspection...based on conversations and the giving of the insurance and registration. Sensing my confusion the desk person goes "Yeah we just did the blah blah blah inspection. We couldn't do the state inspection because there is snow on the ground". So they wasted my time and money because they couldn't walk over to me and say "hey we can't do this because of snow" or whatever other BS reason. The snow didn't just appear out of nowhere during the inspection. It had been there the entire time. Very dishonest. read more

Avoid buying a car at this dealership at all costs! Not only are they liars through and through, but when you call John Kennedy Mazda to get your questions and concerns addressed, there's a great likelihood that none of the salesman or management team will pick up the phone to assist you. I purchased a $23,399.00 vehicle at this dealership on July 14th, 2015, and they assured me that though there was a "slight" problem with the title, they gave me their word (for what that's worth) that I would receive the title in a timely fashion so I could go ahead and register the car before August 14th, 2015. It is now August 12th, 2015, and still no title. All of my phone calls to the dealership on August 12th, 2015 have been ignored, even though I am still without the title and in less than two days, if I'm caught by local law enforcement driving the car with the expired temporary plate, I could very well end up get this car impounded. The sad part of this is that they should have never sold me the car sans title in the first place. I was duped! Yes, I encourage you to always be wary of smooth talking, unscrupulous used-car salesman. But in the case of the sales team at John Kennedy Mazda, heed my warning! Don't believe what they tell you, since it's obvious from this scenario I've presented, that any prospective car buyer shopping at John Kennedy Mazda is best served to take whatever they say with a grain of salt! read more

I took my car in recently to have tires rotated, oil changed ( which is a PITA for a Mazda 3), inspection, and AC service. They told me it would be several hours and I was waiting for the vehicle, so I was a bit concerned that I would be there a long time. My appointment was early in the morning, and altogether I was there for a little under 3 hours. The service rep originally told me at least 4 on the phone, and they said the same thing when I arrived. I was surprised everything was done so quickly. They did offer a "shuttle service", but I did not take advantage of that and I am curious as to how that works. Staff was very courteous and thorough with explanation of what NEEDS to be done and what SHOULD be done in the future. Oh, BTW, they also replaced brakes and rotors in that 3 hour period. That was an extra service added on to pass inspection. I still can't believe I made it out of there in 3 hours. They have a new service manager, AGAIN, which does not make me feel too good because I have to question why someone is not staying in the same position for more than a year or two. I have to say, every time I go in, service is better and better, and is a FAR CRY from what it used to be. Attitude of service staff, friendliness, willing to go over repair options with you, etc is always improving. I have not purchased from them before, so I cannot comment on that. I will continue to use their services in the future. I used a non-dealer service known for tires in the area, but how they treated my car (especially my rims on my tires --scratched as if dragged across the concrete floor facedown! ) and other reasons I decided to not use their services. I have never had anything like that happen at Kennedy Mazda Service, so I will continue to use their great service department. read more

I have been taking my 2004 RX8 to Kennedy ever since I moved to this area in 2007. Key point for me is that Kennedy is about 1/2 hour away, but when my appointment is scheduled, that is ALWAYS the time I get into service. Service manager has always been top notch. When so many are trying to get that extra dime for a bad bulb, I never had this event occur. I often stroll the new lineup in the show room while waiting. 8/1/17 was the third time in a month that I have dealt with this dealership and it will definitely be the last! We have a 2009 Mazda 6 that I scheduled originally with service to complete repairs of four recalls. Mazada's letters to us concerning the repairs stated that a loaner car would be given while the car was serviced. I scheduled the appointment and made clear that there were four recalls and I would need a loaner car. We take the car to drop it off and the service tech tells us "sorry" no loaner car was available. No problem, we'll deal with it for the day. They call and tell me they don't have all the parts to fix everything and we would need to bring it back. So I scheduled another visit and again requested a loaner car, this time they had one, so that went well. However, they still didn't have all the parts, we would need to come back, again!!! So I scheduled that service a week ahead and requested the loaner car. I was told to be there by 5 PM in order to get the loaner, even though we wouldn't be dropping the Mazada off until 6:30 PM, due to work constraints. I arrive to get the loaner, and AGAIN, "sorry" we don't have one available. You knew a week ago one would be needed, how could you not have made arrangements to have one available. They advised that Enterprise rental car would give me one, because that was who they worked with. So Enterprise picked me up and drove me the short distance to their location. I enter prepared to give my driver's license and proof of insurance, when the rep tells me she also needs a credit card. Sorry, get the card from John Kennedy, not me, even if it's just to put a "hold" on and not charge me anything. If they mistakenly charge me - then I have to spend my time and frustration to get it back. If JK has a relationship with them, this should be worked out before, not something the customer is left to deal with. I return to JK and tell them I am not comfortable giving my CC to anyone. And am told "sorry, we can't help you then". I left very frustrated and called Mazada, USA. I spoke to Elizabeth and she assured me that she would call the dealership and see if something could be worked out. Unfortunately she got no further than I. We returned to drop off the Mazda and I sadly had words with the service manager, Jack Hetherington. Including him asking me where we bought the car - when that shouldn't matter!! The staff's attitude, of "oh well can't help you" is among the worst example of customer service that I have EVER encountered. I purchased my car from their Ford dealership next door, and after this experience, I can confidently say I will NEVER bring my business to any John Kennedy related enterprise. I do need to give kudos to Elizabeth and Mazda, USA - she definitely went above and beyond to help us. Understanding that being without a vehicle is an inconvenience (cancelled plans, rearranging schedules) and can be time consuming to deal with. I appreciated the time she spent in trying to mitigate the problem. I would stay away from this dealership and especially the Service Department - who have no clue that "service" is in their title and what that actually means. Update: no word all day on the repair, so I call at 4:45, "I'm sorry it's not done we need it another day, we don't have all the parts."! a). You didn't think to call me, b): How do you not have parts you knew the work to be done. To which John Hetherington replies it was a spring they didn't have and they weren't really "necessary". But "you can't drive it without them". I think that makes them necessary. And by the way we still don't have a loaner car for you. Again, sorry. I have no words for the blatant disregard, disrespect and blase' attitude with which this dealership treats people! read more

I bought a used Mazda 6 from this dealer several years ago. Shortly after purchasing, I called the salesman with a question but never got a response - that is until a year later when he emailed me telling me I should come in and buy another car from him. In the meantime, I've used the service department several times. Each time, I have had to make multiple phone calls to check on the status of my car. Most recently I dropped the car off on a Sunday evening. When I did not hear back by 2:00 in the afternoon that Monday, I called and left a message asking for an update. No response. I called again after 4:00. After my call went to voicemail several times, I finally got the service rep on the phone. He told me he still had no word on my car. I told him to cancel the diagnostic, that I would take my car elsewhere. Five minutes later, he left me a voicemail telling me it was too late to cancel the diagnostic as it had already been done. He then quoted a repair bill totaling nearly $4,000. By this point, I was so tired of the games I always seem to encounter at this place that I told him I would pay for the diagnostic but take the car elsewhere for service. God, am I ever glad I did. The repairs cost me about half of what John Kennedy Mazda wanted to charge me. I guess their frustratingly lousy service was a blessing in disguise. I saved about $2,000. One thing is for certain, I will NEVER even think of going here again!!! read more

Good parts counterman, Unfortunately, their Ford dealership deals in bad faith. Sold me a vehicle that after less than 2,000 miles needed a $500 tuneup they refused to cover. They never should have sold a vehicle in that condition. Bought three vehicles from JK dealerships and had all of them serviced there. They'll never see a penny from me again, Going to have to have to drive plenty to get parts for my Miata now. Shame how some people value good customers. read more

I'm writing to express my deep displeasure with my Mazda3 and John Kennedy Mazda in Limerick Pa due to their clearly unscrupulous business practices. I purchased my Mazda 3 because of its excellent quality and consumer satisfaction ratings. When I purchase the car I assumed it consisted of genuine Mazda quality parts. To my dismay, I have discovered this is not the case with my automobile. My leather seats are not genuine Mazda grade as they were purchased and installed by a 3rd party not at my request. Apparently another customer backed out of a deal....if only I had been so wise. That's all fine and good, however the seats have developed strange "burn" marks from what I assume is caused by sunlight. I freely admit the car is used in the outdoors the majority of the time. I point this out because the brain trust at John Kennedy is blaming its outdoor use and parking in the sun as the source of the problem. In 2012, they replaced the two rear headrest covers after suffering the same fate as stated above. It was admitted the material must have had a defect. Presently, the rear seat is showing the same "burning" and they will not address the issue because of the car being 6 years old and the expense. This is not a warranty or wear and tear issue as the front seat has worn to the point I find it embarrassing. I understand sometimes we don't get what we expect, but this is a travesty. I'm not sure what can be done, but I would like to remedy the situation. My family and friends have purchased several cars from John Kennedy Mazda and I assure you that mistake will not happen again. I don't believe that Mazda states not to park the car in the sun or it will burn your leather. I have never heard of any make of car that the leather burns due to the sun which would be poor advertisement for Mazda. read more
