For starters, everyone who works at this dealership are very polite and helpful. The girls who do the hard work in the back are super nice, the guys in the auto body shop do an incredible job, and of course the sales team is top notch. I will never buy a car anywhere else but here. I truly felt that it was about getting me in what I can afford and something that meets my needs. Kyle showed me so many choice and despite my pickiness he was so polite and professional that I recommend people to see him!!!!! He really made me feel that he was more interested in finding me what I wanted vs throwing me into something expensive. I have only put 9,000 miles on the vehicle and the fuel Intjectors went bad and are not covered by powertrain warranty. I called toyota directly and they said its only covered under original 3 year warranty. It seems insane to have bought a car that injectors go bad at 30,000 miles . Serious red flag with this dealership. They advertise vehicles as Toyota Certified, but the car I purchased had major mechanical and safety issues. It clearly didn't meet Toyota's certification standards. Toyota should investigate their certification process. On June 16, 2025, I visited Tri County Dealership for a scheduled test drive of a Toyota vehicle. Prior to my visit, I received an email from their team confirming the vehicle was Toyota Certified, which assured me of its quality and condition based on Toyota's strict certification standards. Based on that representation, I proceeded with the purchase. However, after receiving the vehicle, I noticed multiple issues that clearly contradict what was promised, both in terms of cleanliness, functionality, and mechanical integrity: Interior Condition * Strong foul odor (suspected to be dog urine) throughout the interior. * Heavily stained seatbelts and upholstery. * Broken plastic covers under the front seats (only one was replaced). * Non-functioning seat-folding lever behind the driver's seat. * Exposed and damaged components in the seating area, which could be hazardous. Mechanical & Structural Issues * Suspension instability and suspected strut issues. * Multiple holes in the frame structure with rust and poor-quality repaint, suggesting prior unreported damage. * Numerous misaligned and mismatched components that are inconsistent with factory-standard assembly. These conditions were further confirmed by an independent appraisal inspection expert, who reported that the car was unfit for safe use. Based on this, I believe the vehicle was misrepresented during the sale process -- both verbally and in writing -- particularly in regard to its Toyota Certification and overall condition. I attempted to return the vehicle, but this request was declined by GM Jack Donaldson , When I returned to the dealership to raise concerns about the vehicle's condition, I spoke with Used Car Sales Manager, Scott Herbert, who told me to have the car inspected independently. He assured me that if any issues were found, I could come back to him to address them. I followed his instruction and had the vehicle inspected by an independent appraisal expert, who confirmed significant safety and mechanical issues, as well as signs of possible structural damage -- all of which would disqualify the car from meeting Toyota Certified standards. Despite this, my attempt to return was denied. I am now requesting that Tri County Dealership take full accountability As a result of this agent's dishonesty, I was almost warned of being fired from my job because I had to go to them more than five times and I had to leave my job and go to them. They over charge on everything, and keep your car way longer then necessary. I was supposed to get my car back on Friday the 30th. They broke my rear tow and told me that they had to keep my car for another 4 days till Tuesday the 3rd because they had to order the part and don't work Friday-Monday. Then they gave me the price and told me I had to pay for what THEY broke on my car. The price of this one visit was half of what I spent on the car originally. They replaced my breaks, turns out it was just the front, the price I ended up paying was the average price of all 4 break and rotor replacements but again I only got 2 replaced. My husband and I went for a regular check up, which we always do. We were told we needed a water pump replacement, it was leaking and had corrosion. Our pressure gage was not showing any signs of distress. We had our grandson who is a diesel mechanic and is going to college for the same. He generously did a pressure check and of course a visual inspection, no leaking and signs of corrosion. We took our car to another dealership, no water leaking, no signs of corrosion. I hit a pothole and damaged my passenger side wheel and tire on 12/6, of note I made an online appointment for 8:30 am. I had car towed to them that evening. I went on 12/7 at around 9 to see if they looked at car yet they had not. At this point no big deal deal there are delays things happen, however they did not look at my vehicle at all that, now my question is what is the point of scheduling an appointment if you aren't going to even look at car? Obviously I am not expecting repairs but I think its reasonable to expect the car to be looked at when you have an appointment. When I call, and I had to call damn near all day to get call answer, and you tell me they are handling folks who are waiting, that doesn't help me at all, I do not care that folks are waiting nor should they take precedence IF THEY WERE NOT SCHEDULED BEFORE ME. I finally get some information that I need a new wheel and tire and that it will be available next day as it has to be delivered, ok again no problem. I called and am told it may be done by 2pm, if not end of business, as you would guess that was not case and worse part is my advisor left for day never called me to tall me any of this-- it takes a minute to text me this information so I know how to proceed without my vehicle for now a 3rd day. It does get better, when I finally spoke to someone, again after having to call all day, they tell me wrong size came and I have to wait until Tuesday, mind you its now Thursday. Now I'm irritated and annoyed, not so much by delay, things happen, by the constant lack of communication, you tell me this after I have been calling ALL DAY to get update and getting either put on hold or not getting an answer from my advisor. Now on Monday I call to get update AGAIN no one provided me anything and am told someone will call you back with update later on, ok. I get a call NOT FROM MY ADVISOR, at 5:42pm (they close at 6) that my car is ready. I go to pick it up a couple days later STILL NO CALL FROM ADVISOR, hey we apologize for inconvenience, hey just wanted to update you or whatever, again I know how these dealerships function, what I am asking for in communication and updates and not having to feel like I am stalking just to get an answer on status of my vehicle. I've had 2 negative experiences at this dealership. I bought a new Toyota Camry here years ago and ordered a certain color pinstripe. When I went to pick up the car, the pinstriper had done it in a color he thought would look better! Since when does someone paid to do a job make a decision like that? At that time, they took a photo of you when you bought a new car, and I still have it showing how upset I was. Now I have another Camry that's just over 2 years old. It replaced the car I had for almost 20 years, and it's my third Toyota. The leather on the steering wheel is coming apart and they don't want to replace it. It should be under warranty, but Tri-County kicks responsibility to Toyota corporate, who kicks responsibility to Tri-County. Not to mention that the car has a recall on it and I received a letter informing me that it could be more prone to accidents, but they have no resolution to the problem yet! What it really comes down to is they sure don't build the cars the way they used to. And this dealership should be working harder to make sure that their customer is satisfied and taken care of. I see why this dealership has a two-star rating, specifically the service department. I took my car in for a code that I pulled myself: P0303. They charged me a diagnostic fee for an hour of diagnostic time. Many other service departments do, so I have no problem there. I told them, and they should have been able to tell, that I just changed the plugs and coils since those are potential fixes for the code. The code persisted after I did that so I needed their help to figure out what was actually wrong with the car. They call me back and said that they believe it may be one of the injectors. They wanted to change all four injectors - I have no problem with changing all four, it's the prudent thing to do; it was around $1400 to do so. I have no problem with the cost as long as it fixed the problem. But what they could not tell me is that this is the actual problem. It was a, "let's change this, and see if that fixes it" kind of thing. Wait, what? You're the dealer! You can't diagnose your own car? I know there are no guarantees in this life but this guy refused to put any confidence behind their own diagnosis. What happens if they change them and it still doesn't work? I pay $1400 plus have to do more - what that "more" is, they have no idea. My fear is that they did not put an hour into the car; did they just pull the same code that I pulled with my $20 scanner, in conjunction with knowing that I changed the injectors and plugs, and guessed about the rest? I later changed the fuel rail and injectors, and still am having the same problem. I only paid a few hundred bucks but what if I had let these "professionals" do it? I'd be out of $1400 with more to pay. I'm sorry, I hate to make bad reviews knowing that other people (including the people that I'm addressing) may see them.....but this place should really be able to do better. Or get better people. I can't tell you why I even continue to come back here. Service is always terrible. I chalk it up to my own laziness and not wanting to drive further away. Today I learned AFTER a service was completed that a new policy went into effect this week and they are charging a 3% service fee for credit card charges. Thank God it wasn't an enormous bill (which repairs often are) because it was told to me after the fact. And so without a few hundred dollars cash on me, I had no choice, but to pay the fee. This is one of those COVID trends that I really wish would go away - when you are dealing with very expensive items taking a credit card should be a cost of doing business. It drives me nuts that the pizza place we usually go to does this - but at least that's only a few cents. How many people carry hundreds and thousands of dollars of cash around anymore? To pass this on is a really crappy way to increase their fees. They will not tell you this when booking the appointment - especially if you do it online - and they are "supposed to" tell you when you check in. Although even then I wouldn't have been able to do anything about it because I was already there and would've had to have left to go to the bank. I reacted badly - but they deserve it - because as business practices go, this is extraordinarily not customer friendly. But that's consistent with my experiences with service here for many years now I'm just starting to feel like every time I go, there's another problem and it makes me dislike this place even more. read more

The only time I'll ever use these folks is if the matter is uniquely Toyota related versus stuff that any shop could do. In 2018, my husband and his parents bought a car from a Certified Toyota dealership (Tri County Toyota in Royersford, Pennsylvania). It was a Certified Pre-Owned Toyota Vehicle. When my husband and his parents went in to purchase this vehicle, they were assured that the car had never been in any accidents or had any extensive repairs done to it. They felt confident with this car since it was "Toyota Certified." Fast forward to a few months ago, my husband and I noticed a large crack that appeared down the side of the right rear quarter panel of our car. We thought at first it must have been a manufacturing defect, so we took it into a Toyota dealership, confident they would be happy to make it right. The dealership blamed us for the crack and said it only could have been caused by an accident, which never happened. We contacted Toyota customer service and spoke with a kind lady, Karen. She told us to take it to a trusted auto body shop and have them determine what caused the crack. She said that if it was determined that it was Toyota's fault, they would make it right. We took our car into a reputable auto body shop to get it looked at. The owner took one quick look at it and said that it is most definitely a poor prior repair that was done quickly and shabbily and is now cracking due to the body filler expanding. My in-laws decided they would go into the dealership where they bought the car (Tri County Toyota) to explain our situation and ask that they pay for the repair of the car. We felt it was a reasonable ask as the repair was obviously done before we bought the car, and they had told them it had never been repaired. The dealership corporate was unbelievably rude and accused US of scamming THEM. Tony Curtis, one of the sales managers, was by far the rudest and tried claiming that my husband and I had been in an accident and were lying to get it fixed. They shut down my in-laws and refused to look into it anymore. Tony then called the auto body shop that we went to to get an opinion and harassed them over the phone, questioning their intentions and even going so far as to ask if we were all in a scam together. A fter this interaction, we all knew that the dealership was lying about something. We decided to do more digging to determine what they were hiding. We soon found a lot of unsettling information: 1. When the car was bought, the dealership gave my husband and in-laws a CARFAX with it. The CARFAX showed no prior accidents, however, 6 months after my husband and in-laws bought the car, an accident from 2016 appeared on the report. 2. The CARFAX also reports that the accident was severe enough that airbags were deployed. 3. The Autocheck report shows that this accident was hit in... guess where?.... the exact same spot that the huge crack is going down the side of our car. (Rear passenger side) 4. We also learned from the CARFAX that Tri-County Toyota was the only other owner besides us. The car was leased from Tri-County Toyota before it was bought by us. Pennsylvania law usually requires that if a leased vehicle is in an accident, the owner (Tri-County Toyota in this instance) must be notified. 5. From talking to many auto body professionals, we have learned that damage to a quarter panel usually results in frame damage. We also learned that usually in order for airbags to be deployed in a rear side accident, the car must have spun, rolled, or been hit again in the front. These points all show that: 1. Tri-County Toyota knew about the accident, 2. They lied to us about the car never having been in an accident before and 3. The accident was rather severe. The service manager informed me that I would need to replace a number of sensors; one of them would require removing the engine on my Tacoma and it would not pass inspection or emission testing. Arrived to a disaster vehicle with body damage, horrific interior condition, damaged rims, etc. I was really upset but they showed me another vehicle in a similar price range and it was damaged all down the passenger side. I test drove it just to see how it was mechanically and it has something off in the suspension/steering. That was it for me. Who sells cars like this at a dealership? Maybe the average Joe doesn't mind paying $20k for a damaged used vehicle with 70-100k miles. No thanks, I went to Carvana and had a delightful experience. Buyer beware. Do your homework before buying here. They will really low ball you on the value of your trade-in. Check KBB or other sites to know what your car is worth as a trade. If they don't come near that kbb value, then just walk out. When I first walked in and started working with a salesperson, the staff started blatantly insulting him in front of the whole sales floor and all the customers that were there like we were all still in high school. That should have been the first sign to just walk away. My husband and I went back later to look at a Tacoma, and we worked with a new sales person, Jose. He was very pushy, to the point where he crossed the line multiple times making jokes to my husband about me after we decided that the price for the lease he kept trying to push us into didn't work for our budget. After we told him we were going to walk away if he couldn't do anything for us, he said wait here so I can bring my manager over. Well 20 minutes later when the manager finally got to us, and a whole lot of hot air, we walked away extremely frustrated and not a little bit insulted. We will never go back after that. read more

Warning! Bait and switch type tactics are used here. Negotiated a price that was just out of my budget for a used car. What made it appealing is the lifetime warranty they offer. I called Alyssa Carey to get some clarification about the warranty before I made the drive out from Philly. I asked if I could use the warranty anywhere, she said any authorized repair facility. I then asked if it just covered power train, she said no and started reading a list of covered items..seals and gaskets, a/c, accessories, etc. Wow, sounds great. I told Alyssa that I was going to look at the same car that was offered for much less, but that the icing on the cake was the amazing warranty she offered. I convinced my wife that even though we had looked at an identical car with less mileage and costed less than the car offered here, the amazing warranty made this one the front runner. I bring my wife, checkbook, and license plate from my previous car with me and make the hour and a half trip out to Limerick. The plan was to write a check and drive the car home. We arrived and saw the car immediately. Looked great. The salesperson was going over the features of the car and mentioned the lifetime power train warranty. I said that it also covered the a/c and other items. He said that it did not but I could purchase a "Wrap" warranty for and extra $2500.00. I told him that Alyssa didn't mention anything about that and I told him about our conversation. Alyssa came over and said that she was sorry that we had a miscommunication. There was no miscommunication, she never mentioned that it would cost more or the phrase "Wrap". I even reminded her about our conversation that I had a better deal but would come out to her because of the warranty she told me about. "Well, maybe we can take a little off the warranty" she said. I am absolutely disgusted. My family and I have bought countless vehicles from this dealership over the past decade. We traded in 3 cars and bought 3 brand new cars on March 4, 2013. You'd think that after that long of a relationship you'd be treated well. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. The past few times I've had my car serviced here it's been poor service. The people that work there have treated me like I'm inconveniencing them by coming in! Good customer service is just non existent. This past ordeal took the cake. Enough is enough. I scheduled my appointment online for a 12:45 drop off for a 45,000 mile maintenance, alignment, and a recall. I was called by the dealership and was told how long each service would take ( over 6 hours ) so it made more sense to drop it off. I told her I was a law enforcement officer and I could drop it off before my 1400-2200 shift. I was told they could shuttle me to work. When I got there, I pulled in, and waited in my car for about 5 minutes before someone reluctantly helped me. I was asked what I was there for when the woman ( I believe her name was Joann? ) told me that she was still on her lunch break. Todd said he was also on his lunch break but checked me in. He couldn't find me in the system under my last name. I found that to be very odd since I've never changed my name ( even after I got married ) He asked if I had been there before. I purchased that vehicle ( along with my very first vehicle ) at this dealership. Somehow they have my middle name as my last name in the system. Well, can that be fixed? I want to make sure I'm getting the points. I'm told that there's nothing they can do to fix it. Excuse me? I ask about the shuttle to work and picking up my car later that night. He looks confused, says they'll be closed, and they'll need a credit card number over the phone. I asked about adding my work number instead of my cell but never got an answer. The shuttle driver dropped me off at work. I had to call them several times, I kept being passed around to different people and departments. I explained I wouldn't have my cell phone, I needed to give them my work number before I went inside. I finally called them at 1700 and I'm told that they just didn't have enough time to finish everything and asked if I could find a way home. Wow! Talk about inconvenience! Well, what other option do I have? I'm literally woken up to a phone call from the dealership the next morning saying that all of my tires are yellow, going red. One has a bubble that could "pop at any moment!" I've always bought my car ( to this dealership) for its routine maintenance. I'm shocked at this news I'm hearing. The price for four tires ( even with their buy 3, get 1 free "deal" ) sounded high so I wanted to shop around. I was called back and told someone else wanted the tires so I felt pressured to just get them done since I was driving with such an unsafe vehicle. They confirmed my address and said they'd be dropping off my car later on. When I got my car back, I was surprised to see that it wasn't wiped down. I would have thought with COVID19 safety precautions, you'd wipe down each vehicle after its serviced but I guess not. According to other Yelp reviews, people have gotten complimentary car washes after a service. I didn't ( and never have ) received that. Actually, my car charger was unplugged and thrown on the floor along with my glasses. Almost $800 later, was I eligible for any discounts or could I have redeemed any points that would have been on my account if I was in their system properly? Do they honor military/law enforcement discount? If not, okay. I was in full uniform. I guess a thank you for your service would have been too much. Because of their gross negligence, I had to miss a day's work. I also had to pay a fee for not giving my doctor's office 24 hour notice to cancel my appointment ( no Ubers available ) A car is not a cheap investment. My daughter bought a used Hyundai Sonata from Tri-County Toyota. My wife and I also bought her the 2 year extended warranty. Recently she was having issues with her steering wheel, and when she took it to Tri-County Toyota for service she felt dismissed by them. I told her I would call them and talk with them on her behalf. When I contacted Tri-County Toyota I was informed that her issue is covered under a manufacturer tech bulletin and that it needed to be repaired by Hyundai. When I asked them why they couldn't just fix it under her extended warranty I was told that the extended warranty would not cover manufacturer issues and I would have to pay the repair out of pocket. That being said, I took the car to Hyundai for repair. Once I was at Hyundai (literally right down the road), they told me that there was no manufacture tech bulletin or recall that would cover her repairs. They suggested I take the car back to Tri-County Toyota. By this point I was getting upset, but I had to drive past Tri-County Toyota anyway on my way home so I stopped back in...again. My Red Team Leader, Jeff, told me that I needed to ask the Hyundai service department if they looked up the service tech bulletin from the manufacturer. I was done playing their games. It isn't my job to know what questions to ask the service department. Also, as it turned out, Jeff was incorrect. There was no bulletin and Tri-County agreed to repair the car under the extended warranty, so I scheduled a time for my daughter to drop off her car for repair. That brings me to this week. Wednesday night I dropped her car off for her Thursday appointment. I was told it would take 1 day and it should be done by the end of the business day, at which time I would be called to come get her car. As the day wore on I never received a call, so at 5:30 (30 minutes before their service hours ended) I called Jeff. He told me that her car was "basically finished" but there were some bushings that Hyundai didn't tell them they would need, so they couldn't completely finish her repair. He said that they would get the parts from Hyundai first thing Friday morning and the car should be finished by noon. Again, he would call me when it's finished. Because he failed to call me on Thursday, I specifically asked if he would definitely call me on Friday, to which he confirmed. Well, I waited all day for Jeff to call me, but the call never came. By the time I finished my own work day I followed up with Jeff myself (5:30). I got Jeff's voicemail that said he was either on another call or away from his desk, but he would return my call as soon as possible. Apparently it wasn't possible to return my call that day because his call never came. I then called the dealership and got patched into their general service department mailbox because the service department was closed for the day. After leaving a message with the service department. I then called back and asked to speak with the woman at the cashier desk. I was hoping that the the car was repaired and they just forgot to call me, although I didn't have much faith. The woman confirmed what my guy already knew, and when I explained the situation to her she even looked through every service paperwork to make sure it wasn't filed out of alphabetical order. She then looked through the scheduling for the last couple days and couldn't even find my daughter's name (or mine) on the schedule. At this point she apologized that she couldn't do anything else. She did, however, give me the direct number to the service manager (Rich) and said I could call and leave him a message, and leave him a message I did. I'm sure I'm nobody to them, but to my daughter I am her hero because, not only did I take on this burden, but I also gave her my truck to use for the weekend being as she had plans to go away with friends. In the end, I'm sure her car will get repaired properly. I don't have any doubts in their capabilities as service technicians, but their communication skills are completely subpar. I'm hoping to hear from the manager at some point, but whether I do or not, I would never buy a car from Tri-County Toyota again. Bought a car and within a day and a half: 2 days the car began driving terrible, had trouble accelerating and it would rumble at certain speeds. Had an awful time dealing with them to get an appointment. When They finally made arrangements for me to bring the car in they called me a few days later saying the rim was bent and that I probably hit a curb and that I would have to pay some out of pocket to fix it. Where I live we barely have f*cking curbs and if I had hit one I think I'd notice since I only drove it home and back and forth to work 1 time. Went to get my second service here. The first was nothing impressive, but not horribly bad except that it did take about 2.5 hours which was ridiculous considering it was just a simple 10k oil change service. Scheduled for the 15k service online, went there and the service guy was EXTREMELY RUDE. I cannot emphasize this enough. Seems this is common here based on the other reviews. He again told me it'd be over 2 hours and cost over $87 since I need the annual inspection. NO THANKS. You just lost my business and I'm hoping this review will make you lose even more. You need to clean up your service department people. read more

The service department is terrible. On two occasions they try to hit me with bogus repairs I took vehicle to my mechanic to confirm they were lying. We purchase two vehicles they're brand new I won't be getting another one from them. Shame on you guys. read more

I took my car to get inspected on 12/12/19. My appointment was at 10a.m. arrived at 9:30 set and waited for my car for close to an hour and thirty minutes. Now keep in mind there was several individuals (caucasians)who came in after me and got their car inspected after me and was out before me . (How do I know that were there for inspection because if you've every been to Toyota the service agent comes out to tell you what service you had done and what they recommended and their pretty loud), Ok fast forward after watching people come and go the female finally came out to tell me my car didn't pass inspection because the tint on my front window was to far down on the window. So i asked her if she can explain to me how my car passed last year when I brought it into this same location and had the same tint on then. She said its up to the discretion of the technician. Ok so I explained to her I would Google a place who deals with removing tint that is close to where the dealership is. She replied ok she even stood outside at my car with me while I was searching. I found a place in pottstown which was 17 minutes away that said they could take it off. Keep in mind the female who works for the dealership hear the entire conversation between me and the tint business. She said good I won't close your work order out until you come back. I then rushed to pottstown had the tint removed and was back at Toyota within 50 mins maxed, because it took the literally 10 mins to remove the tint. I arrived back and went directly to her the Toyota employee as i was instructed to and asked how long will it take to get the state inspection sticker because they had already put the emissions sticker on before I left. She replied an hour because I don't have anyone right now. I replied Miss I don't have an hour I'm tired I worked last night and I'm ready to go home. I told her if I knew I would have to wait again I just would have rescheduled all together. She said well there's nothing I can do. Now my irritation level is slowly climbing. She walks away. At this time another employee by the name of Rich Osche ask is there anything he can help me with. I began to tell him everything I started at the beginning of this review and he replied well your going to have to just wait" its the way he said it that took my irritability to a 10. "I said well why do you ask what you can help me with. He replied I said what I said and I'm done talking" Now I'm feeling totally disrespected. I said who are you talking to. He said like i said I'm done talking to you. We began to go back and forth in front of not only other employees but customers also. At this time two other men came from an office one approached me and asked me what was the problem I again explained to him my issue whime Im explaining to what later the guy who came from the office informed me he was the GM Rich Osche was still yelling over him to the point the GM told him to be quite. However Rich Osche continued to make remarks. I then informed the GM that I would be making a complaint with corporate that's when he the GM replied let me see what I can do. He walked away two minutes later appearing to tell me he has someone to put the other sticker on. I did call corporate and filed a complaint and was told someone would get back to me by the end of business day which was yesterday and the outcome was no one has gotten back to me yet. I feel reviews are very important because it allows you to hear other individuals concerns and experience with different companies which could help you determine if you want to deal with them or not. Please take my experience serious. This dealership and Toyota as a whole has put the worse taste in my mouth. I will never do business with them again and I will be trading in my Rav 4 so that I don't have to deal with them.
