The staff has made me feel very comfortable. They have been very empathetic and compassionate to my situation and have helped me get through my anxiety going through the treatment they set up for me. I have wore the piece they made for my mouth to help my jaw for 2 weeks and all my headaches are gone. I'm excited to see how my jaw will continually heal through the help of this office. I now continue with the practice for maintenance, with the same impressions I've had all along. I can't recommend the practice highly enough for anyone, but especially for dentist-avoiding patients as you feel at ease and pain-free whatever the procedure-from expert cleaning, cavities, extractions, to bone graft and implants, etc. Also, clear instructions, careful follow-up, and availability for questions or the unexpected. I feel that all the team is exceptional in terms of skill, know-how, and professionalism while having a consistently friendly and caring approach to patients.

Original Review Reposted After Unfulfilled Refund Agreement and untruthful…read more I originally posted a review of this experience on March 18. I had agreed with the dentist to remove the review in exchange for a refund. Since I never received the promised refund, I am now reposting the review. Here it is: I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this dental office. I scheduled a tooth extraction after being told over the phone that my out-of-pocket cost would be $90 with insurance. Instead, I left with a $910 bill. The lack of financial transparency was extremely concerning. I was initially told that a bone graft would cost around $600, but during the procedure, that amount suddenly increased to $850--and I was required to pay immediately. What made the situation worse was the pressure I felt while still in the chair. The dentist pushed me to make an immediate decision between an implant or a bridge--both significant medical and financial choices that require time and proper explanation. I was also told that a bone graft was necessary right after the extraction, even though a bridge typically does not require one. When I questioned why these options and costs were not clearly explained beforehand, I was dismissively told, "We told you so," referring to information that had never been clearly communicated to me. At no point were the cost differences properly outlined. I also want to note that I never had any issues with the previous owner during my care, which makes this experience even more disappointing. At this point, I expect I may hear more explanations or even an apology, but that alone does not address the core issue of transparency and patient communication. Overall, I felt rushed, dismissed, and treated like just another number. Patients should never feel pressured into making major, permanent decisions on the spot. I would not recommend this office to anyone who values clear communication, transparency, and professional patient care.

I can't express enough how lucky I feel to have found this practice. 3 years ago my daughter had a tooth pulled with "zero pain". Last month I had my first cavity filled in 20 years. Wow, Dr Walby and his assistant whipped through that thing so quickly and seamlessly I wish I could have videoed it. Zero pain or discomfort. All done in about 20 minutes. I was waiting for there to be pain once my numbness wore off, but nope. In the past, I've had to go back to other dentists for them to correct the bite, but he did it perfectly right out of the gate. We're all impressed.

It was our first time at this practice. Mitchell Solverson reviewed x-rays for my 9 1/2 year old and determined that she had four cavities between baby molar teeth. Typically, I would trust such medical advice but Mitchell Solverson wasn't acting as a trusted professional. He came off very pushy and urgent to get these "cavities" filled asap, even though my daughter was in no pain. He was also insistent that my 11 year old get an already loose baby tooth removed for no apparent reason--no crowding or issues with the tooth. As he was discussing this he came off like a used car salesman. It was obvious that he was looking for ways to increase his billable work. I decided to get a second opinion. I had the x-rays sent to another dental practice. Upon review they found ZERO cavities. The dentist said even if there were cavities the permanent molars will be arriving in months based on the x-rays. There is no sense in filling cavities in baby teeth that are about to fall out. I am glad that Mitchell Solverson gave off such alarming red flags so I could remove my children from his care but am sickened that he was trying to push unnecessary procedures.

Our family has been looking all over the place for a good, solid Dental experience!…read more Most importantly, we want a dentist that doesn't over-treat! Our last dentist, while talented, friendly and professional, was all about lining his pockets. He tried to sell me and my children all kinds of extra work we didn't need, as well as Invisalign and whitening. My husband has extremely strong, healthy teeth. He never needs any extra work. But our LAST dentist, on his first visit, told my husband that he had 14 cavities!!! He has never had a cavity in his life. The professionals at Great expectations were friendly, attentive, skilled and experienced. When my husband went, they cleaned his teeth, friendly and professionally, took x-rays and a doctors exam and sent him on his way. No up-selling. No unnecessary work recommendations.

I am not an old washed up idiot like Vicki- I understand how doctors work. When I spoke to Loretta the office manager she said "yeah she's like that" Again- weird and inappropriate. When I received my trays I received zero instructions regarding the treatment or care - LITERALLY A BOX OF TRAYS I didnt reach out to the office - BECAUSE WHY WOULD I? When I discussed the lack of competence in the office to my dentist at the TROY location - she was shocked. I've been unable to wear my invisalign due to a neurological condition I've been dealing with, something I explained to the ortho, as well as LORETTA. Rather than reaching out in any way to get back into the office to discuss my care I received a letter saying my care would be ending ... WHY AM I RECEIVING A THREATENING LETTER ABOUT ENDING MY CARE? IVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CARE I HAVE DISCUSSED THIS TWICE WITH "PROFESSIONALS" IN THIS OFFICE. You'll get your last payment - but you're professional reputation is ruined. Maybe you don't care because you're old and about to retire but you SHOULD CARE. This office should be ashamed of themselves ...
