Being in Las Vegas but looking for a place in Seattle and not knowing ANYONE or where or how to even begin the process. I used YELP for what is here for...to find businesses and read reviews. I searched Realtors and started to read reviews. After reading several reviews I knew I wanted to go with a smaller vs. a bigger company (where they might hand you off to whoever or you get lost in the shuffle). SOOOOO glad I went with Liz! I really believe that things happen for a reason and people come into your life for a reason. From the first time I spoke to her she had a great energy and vibe and I knew she was going to be a hustler. I was already impressed from the get go! In the beginning I explained what my husband and I were looking for, (which I thought were pretty strange requests criteria...because this condo was going to be used for our employee, it needed to be within a certain proximity, near the airport and within our budget). Liz just rolled with it and got on it. I think it was that night or the next we were already Facetiming a property we were interested in...that's how quickly she was on it! BTW she gives great video commentary and is thorough and honest with her review of the places. Not being there and actually seeing something in person for such a large purchase is kind of scary, but it truly was a great experience that I wasn't expecting. She listened and cared about our opinions and was never pushy. So right now the market is CRAZY!! We put in about 3-4 offers starting in February and kept getting outbid by cash offers and waiving everything. Finally we found something that was perfect for us and had keys and were moving in on April 8! We got to do a little fixer upping (Liz helped with finding a contractor) and was able to pick out flooring, paint and light fixtures, to our liking, all for asking price (seller was throwing in some $). BEYOND impressed with Liz and her team! From start to finish and all throughout the process Liz always kept in touch and updated with what was going on. Almost daily emails with new listings or possible places then following up with which ones we were interested in seeing. She was ON TOP of it! Not sure how she keeps it all straight because you will feel as if you are her only client (which I know we weren't), with how dedicated and on top of it she is. Vince Himlie at Windermere Shelton turned out to be a very shrewd and clever operator…read more My real estate agent was convinced we had solved a problem with my loan near the end of a long and difficult escrow on one of Vince's listings and that the sale would now go through. Vince had been somewhat vague and not very forthcoming the last few critical days leading up to the close, but we still felt quite confident on the last day of escrow when he agreed to accept a filing asking for a bit more time. We had disclosed in detail with him the glitch we had just resolved and had every reason to believe he would grant the request. The next day I got a surprise call from my agent stating our deal had fallen apart and that the home had been sold to someone else. It seems that Vince had lined up his own buyer and had intended to sell the home to this buyer for several days. By not disclosing his true intentions and distracting us with a bogus filing on that last day, he precluded any possibility of my settling and saving the home with my own cash. His last minute timing was clearly intentional and had a devastating effect. He was able to inform my agent the very next morning that it was too late for us to do anything in that he already had a signed contract. He also possibly cashed in with a much larger sales commission. I believe Vince Himlie's actions were calculated, misleading, even cold hearted, especially with my agent having had many candid face to face meetings with him. He was also quite aware that my agent had months of hard work and a large commission at stake. He apparently had no qualms about snatching all this away. I should mention the home we lost was a one in a million gem that had taken nearly a year to find. I was heart broken and also furious at having been blindsided and deceived in such a manner. There was also a strong sense of betrayal. Vince, with his vast experience in real estate, had generally conveyed a tone of understanding and good will, that is, before he put the knife in at the end.
