Last time the GPS sent me to the wrong end of Fox St; and kept rerouting me back to the same spot. Today the GPS did it's job. The front desk staff informed Dr. Blondin that I was here; and almost immediately I was ushered into an exam room. His assistant had me in two bibs to protect my clothes, asked if I wanted music, I thought I was on a cruise ship. Every knob, handle, wire, instrument in the room was covered with plastic. The Zeiss microscope was in its own sealed plastic bag. Dr. Blondin was in shortly. He explained what was going to happen today in his cheerful and reassuring voice. After a local analgesic; the work began. A dental dam was applied, then the drilling began. All the while the doctor was letting me know what was going on during the procedure. A few X-rays latter I was almost done. The X-rays showed the true picture of the bicuspid and the repair done. I'm way past the age of being in awe of anything. This endodontist office leaves me awestruck. Everyone does their job with precision and acumen. If you need a great endodontist - This is the place to go to first. What's that old saying? "you've seen the rest; now see the best". I'm paraphrasing.

Most recently she insisted on placing the crown on an implant rather than letting the professional endodontist who did the implant (and offered to place the crown as well). Regrettably, I let Dr. Jakhar do the crown placement. She ended up stripping the screw and the whole crown slipped up so that crown was not tight and inflammation bred up underneath. Over repeated visits she ignored my statements that there was a problem. "Just keep flossing", but I knew there was a real problem. Found another dentist who had to remove the damaged crown and replace it. Dr. Jakhar denies all responsibility but I've been told by a lawyer that I could prevail if I took the time and effort to pursue it. I now need to pay several thousand more dollars for a replacement crown...from a MUCH better dentist!

I was impressed by her chairside manner & how quickly she made the repair. We moved into the area shortly after that (from fla, yeah I know but we moved to be near our grandkids after retiring). Dr Carver has been my dentist since we moved up & I can't say enough about her manner & how professional her staff is. I caught myself saying wow several times when the doctor and her assistant Sarah were going constantly back-and-forth with the different tools needed and very little discussion was necessary. In the end, it didn't look so good for my tooth, and she gave me some very real options to discuss with my dentist after she sends some great 3-D imaging to him with a detailed letter. She explained that we could do the procedure and it might last a year, or I might choose to have an extraction. She values her work, and she would expect that any work she does would last him a long time if it is to be done properly. My last procedure done in 2001 has given me no problems at all. I always have the option of going back and finishing my procedure if I choose, and I would not have to pay the full fee. This is an example of an A+ office.

Dr Rod and Dr Pyser were wonderful and I certainly miss them terribly... in over 30 years I never had one bad experience or with the other specialist they referred me to. They always accomadated the few special needs I had. Dr Barnes has one way of doing things... her way. I am no longer a patient of Berkshire Dental Arts because while sitting in her chair, bib on, and a numb lip... she said she could not continue to treat me... she did not call me into her office, she did not ask my thoughts or opinion... she just walked out leaving me in a chair and did not finish the 5the appointment of 5.
