Today was the follow up appointment for the root canal I had last month…read more I arrived earlier than my appointed time. Last time the GPS sent me to the wrong end of Fox St; and kept rerouting me back to the same spot. Today the GPS did it's job. The front desk staff informed Dr. Blondin that I was here; and almost immediately I was ushered into an exam room. His assistant had me in two bibs to protect my clothes, asked if I wanted music, I thought I was on a cruise ship. Every knob, handle, wire, instrument in the room was covered with plastic. The Zeiss microscope was in its own sealed plastic bag. Dr. Blondin was in shortly. He explained what was going to happen today in his cheerful and reassuring voice. After a local analgesic; the work began. A dental dam was applied, then the drilling began. All the while the doctor was letting me know what was going on during the procedure. A few X-rays latter I was almost done. The X-rays showed the true picture of the bicuspid and the repair done. I'm way past the age of being in awe of anything. This endodontist office leaves me awestruck. Everyone does their job with precision and acumen. If you need a great endodontist - This is the place to go to first. What's that old saying? "you've seen the rest; now see the best". I'm paraphrasing.

From explaining every step of the process to the hands spa treatment, you felt comfortable and calm throughout the entire process. It is friendly, everyone is always improving their knowledge, and there is a wealth of holistic information available from the doctor and the staff. When I left today, I said to Kelly the receptionist, I am one of very few people who can say that when I go to the dentist I have a good time. But I always do Carver family Dentistry. The work level is superb and the staff is extremely personable and helpful. It's a skilled and comfortable practice.

Before we bought in the area, we were visiting our daughter when a cap that was installed by one of the witch doctors came out on the plane. Dr Carver is my daughter's dentist & she called explaining my emergency to the doctor. She had me come in right away & she made the repair (the right way, I haven't had a problem with it since). I was impressed by her chairside manner & how quickly she made the repair. We moved into the area shortly after that (from fla, yeah I know but we moved to be near our grandkids after retiring). Dr Carver has been my dentist since we moved up & I can't say enough about her manner & how professional her staff is. I haven't always taken the best care of my teeth (shame on me) & my fear of dentists (wouldn't go unless I absolutely had to) left my mouth in poor health. She has never been judgmental & my mouth is the best it's been since my early teens.

I am here at Dr. Perry's office for my second root canal (not the same tooth thank goodness!). The…read morestaff here makes scheduling the appointment easy and the procedures and financing understandable and with affordable options. I wish every office I went into had this kind of attitude. Dr. Perry is one of the most compassionate doctors in this field. She will explain everything to you and walk you through every step. I can't promise if you don't like needles that you will love this office. It's an unfortunate circumstance of the procedure. The staff is all very balanced and coordinated. I caught myself saying wow several times when the doctor and her assistant Sarah were going constantly back-and-forth with the different tools needed and very little discussion was necessary. In the end, it didn't look so good for my tooth, and she gave me some very real options to discuss with my dentist after she sends some great 3-D imaging to him with a detailed letter. She explained that we could do the procedure and it might last a year, or I might choose to have an extraction. She values her work, and she would expect that any work she does would last him a long time if it is to be done properly. My last procedure done in 2001 has given me no problems at all. I always have the option of going back and finishing my procedure if I choose, and I would not have to pay the full fee. This is an example of an A+ office.

After visiting my dentist, I learned that Dr. Perry had seen a fracture in my tooth before performing the root canal. This information was never shared with me. Had I known, I may have chosen a different treatment. Now, after paying for a very expensive root canal, I am going to have to pay for a crown. I would not recommend Dr. Perry to anyone.

I have been a patient for over 30 years at this practice... I became a patient of Dr Barnes when…read moreshe purchased the practice the first part of 2018. She has little to no charisma and a handshake that I imagine feels like putting your hand in a tightened clamp, however, none of that matters if she is a skilled and sensitive practitioner... Dr Barnes is neither. My first visit with her was an interesting experience to say the least. I left there soaking wet... literally, I had a wet bra that could be wrung out and I was wearing a dental bib. Her assistant had to get a towel to keep drying my face... she said her equipment was not working properly but she made no attempt to rectify the situation or offer me another room or to finish the procedure. The worst however was her lack of willingness and empathy to deal with a documented disability. The previous dentists of the practice... Dr Rod and Dr Pyser were wonderful and I certainly miss them terribly... in over 30 years I never had one bad experience or with the other specialist they referred me to. They always accomadated the few special needs I had. Dr Barnes has one way of doing things... her way. I am no longer a patient of Berkshire Dental Arts because while sitting in her chair, bib on, and a numb lip... she said she could not continue to treat me... she did not call me into her office, she did not ask my thoughts or opinion... she just walked out leaving me in a chair and did not finish the 5the appointment of 5. I would not recommend her to anyone... she is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever had and I'm 63 years old.
