This past year our long-term doctor left, replaced by a seemingly qualified Doctor; young and driven. He didn't last the year unfortunately. We received one letter in the mail - no other notifications from the practice - from this Doctor, stating he was leaving the practice within the month, and there was no availability in the practice (no other doctors in the practice would take his patience on). We were told to secure a doctor / practice elsewhere, and provided a few recommendations. As a prior business owner, I can't image turning long-term patients away, with no options. This would indicate to us, and the many other patients I'm aware of, that Devon Family Practice is not in it for the longer-term, so don't get too comfortable there. Very disappointing!!

It's by far the nicest looking doctor's office I've ever visited. As for Dr. Garg, my previous review remains true and today's visit only solidified my opinion. I don't feel awkward saying I love Dr. Garg. That may seem like an exaggeration, but if anything, it's an understatement. I am eternally grateful for the aid he has provided, and continues to provide, my wife and best friend. It took years to find a doctor with this level of intelligence, education, warmness, trustworthiness, and empathy, but Dr. Garg makes all the searching and effort worthwhile. He's more than just my wife's pain management doctor. I consider him my friend.

If you need a referral do not ask the day before. They act as if you are asking them to donate an organ to you and they will not guarantee the referral will be there the following day. They insist you leave the information on their referral voice mail line. There is no such thing as customer service anymore. It's all self serve. Pretty soon they'll be leaving instructions for us to do our own mammograms and draw our own blood.

Parking is in a private lot at the rear of their office building and it's free. The Rev. has some standard chronic health issues - cholesterol, blood pressure. He for many years primarily saw Dr. Stallkamp, whom he liked very much. Dr. Stallkamp left the practice a year ago to go into research, which initially made him sad. Then, he met Dr. Lytton. I can honestly say Dr. Lytton saved his life. Furthermore, she is the ONLY doctor that has gotten through his thick Southern skull to where he's finally enacting some serious lifestyle changes. You see, the Reverend is indeed a fully grown Southern man. The four basic food groups of the Southern Man would be fat, salt, meat and sugar. This is why so many Southern men don't get to be people "of a certain age". Despite years, I mean years, people, of cajoling, nagging, begging, yelling, refusing, etc, on my part, this man would not make changes in that diet when things like the cholesterol and the blood pressure and the weight started to go awry. I have snuck more Splenda and Boca in this man than he realizes in the name of true love. Still, the car would be full of soda bottles and fast food wrappers and when left alone, it was fry an egg in butter and bacon grease time. It didn't help that his compliance with taking his medicine to help control these things was spotty at best. That, again, despite my best nagging and cajoling and such. You may think I'm an ineffective nagger. I am not. He is just as stubborn as a jacka**, so in him I feel I have met my match some days. When he doesn't want to do something, good luck getting him to do it. Even denying him my 'feminine wiles' failed to change him. That's DEFCON 5 nagging, people. Years with Dr. Stallkamp, as great as she was, failed to enact change. That doesn't mean she wasn't a great doctor, she was and is. She just could not get through his thick skull. It took Dr. Lytton taking over his care, taking a good look at him and putting him in the hospital because his BP was so out of control then sitting him and I down together and giving us not only a stern talking-to but recipes, guidance on food choices, and yes, encouragement to get him to change. This man in 8 weeks has subsequently lost 18 pounds. He eats mostly vegetarian. When he goes out he looks for good choices like chicken grilled vs. beef. Yes, on Easter he smoked a brisket for the family and he had two pieces (and yes, it was mighty good) but that was it. He has grilled pork chops occasionally. He rarely drinks soda. He has not missed a dose of his medications in two months. He looks better, feels better and actually is doing that on his own, making his changes. So, yeah, the staff may not always be pleasant. Dr. Lytton does present as a little flighty and scattered and odd. Don't let that fool you, the woman knows her stuff. When you go there, you have as much time as you need with the doctor, not 5 or 10 minutes. Lastly, they care. Dr. Lytton has called at 10 PM and on weekends to give test results and to talk with him and to check in on him. Is the practice perfect? No. The staff is rude. Sometimes you wait (like that never happens at a doctor's office). However, I'll take rude staff and sitting in a waiting room all day long when it means a longer life with my love. Wouldn't you?

The whole experience was honestly insane and incredibly frustrating…read more First, the out-of-pocket cost was $295, which feels exorbitant compared with other urgent care locations in the area. More concerning was the lack of attention to why we were actually there. We explained my daughter's symptoms and the reason for the visit at check-in, yet once we were seen, they seemed to have no idea why she was there or what we had already told them. That was a huge red flag for me and made it feel like no one was actually paying attention. After paying nearly $300, we were offered very little in terms of help or a solution. We were essentially told to go to another urgent care because they didn't have the test she needed. What made that especially frustrating is that a basic urgent care right down the street did have the test. We only chose this location because it was the only place open that late. If a facility is going to charge this much for an urgent care visit, I would expect better communication, better attention to the patient's symptoms, and at the very least a clearer understanding of what services they can actually provide before taking someone's money. Unfortunately, I would not return.

They never called so I started attempting to call them last week. I called on 4/15. I sat on hold for over 45 minutes (47 to be exact). I couldn't hold anymore so I hung up. On 4/15 I tried again and sat on hold for 52 minutes. Again, I hung up. Simply to speak to a receptionist to make an appointment for a procedure. You can't make an appointment any other way for the procedure I need. No option on MyChart. I'm on hold AGAIN right now...37 minutes. Edit: wow...after holding for 42 minutes, a phone started to ring and I got excited thinking that finally someone was going to answer. Nope, it rang 6 times, placed back on hold. What is going on at that office??? This is infuriating. Edit again: they returned my call the next day (today 4/21) and I couldn't answer as I was at work. Then they sent a letter to My Chart, they've tried to reach me, they care about my health. To reach out to them at the same # that they don't answer the phone at. I'm done with these people and already have a referral to a different gastroenterologist. Edit 4/26/26: I decided to make one last attempt to call them on 4/21, right after I posted the above edit and was able to get through after holding for 26 minutes. The person I spoke to said that there is some sort of issue with their phone system and that they have no way of knowing how long someone has been on hold before they answer the call. She transferred me to someone else in order to do a pre-procedure screening. That person explained to me that they had no procedure availability at Lankenau until July, if I wanted to schedule with Riddle, I could be seen before July. As I've already waited weeks at this point because of the lack of a return phone call weeks ago and all of my unsuccessful attempts to reach them, I opted for Riddle. I explained to the person at Lankenau that I could only pick up my phone after 3:30. Explained my frustration with their phone situation. She told me that she'd forward my information on to Riddle and would request that they call me on Weds 4/22 3:30-4. I watched my phone for that call on Weds 4/22. No call. On Friday 4/24 at 9:04AM, my phone rang with a call from Lankenau I was at work but answered the call. The person from Lankenau was calling to do the same pre-procedure screening that I was told on 4/21 that Riddle would be calling me to do. I explained to her that I spoke to someone at Lankenau on Tuesday who said they'd forward my info to Riddle, that I'd receive a call from Riddle but that call never came. She apologized, said she was going to reach out to Riddle when we got off the phone and she'd ask them to call me on that day, Fri 4/24 after 3:30. NO PHONE CALL FROM RIDDLE AS PROMISED. Today is 4/26, Sunday. Why is it IMPOSSIBLE to schedule a very common/simple procedure?? They don't answer the phones and when they reach out to you with a letter in MyChart, they ask you to call back the exact same # which leaves one on hold for ridiculous amounts of time. I'll call Riddle tomorrow and if I can't get this resolved, I'm going elsewhere. I took the time to write this review with the hope that Lankenau does something to correct this issue. I can see the other reviews and I see that I'm not the only one experiencing this. The other reviews were written months ago so if there truly is an issue with their phone system, they've had ample time for time to correct it. God forbid someone has a serious issue such as cancer and they can't even reach their provider. I see the response above about contacting a patient advocate...why should someone have to do that over such a simple issue of phones not being answered and outgoing calls not being made as promised?

He has a physician assistant, nurses, x ray techs, physical therapy all working together to help you recover. The Mauve center was fantastic and the one on one care was amazing. There isn't a time that I can not text or call the nurses for immediate response to my questions. Dr. Vernace is always respectful of time. He is never late and I appreciate that very much.
