I was extremely pleased that during my new patient exam they Xrayed my entire mouth and found cavities that my previous dentist had missed just recently. They are thorough and double check their work, something I was not used to. I feel much better coming to this practice than the other places I've worked with that seemed to always miss cavities until they needed to become root canals. Expensive and painful. I would recommend this office to anyone needing a second opinion or new dentist.

While I've primarily seen Dr. Busch, I've had the pleasure of working with several hygienists over the years. Currently, Joyce is my hygienist, and she truly stands out as the best of the best. Joyce ensures that every visit feels like a thorough and rejuvenating cleaning. She provides detailed instructions about the specific areas of my mouth that need focus and sets clear expectations for improvement by my next appointment. There's nothing more satisfying than hearing her mention the progress I've made in brushing and flossing since my last visit. The entire team at North Kansas City Dental Group exemplifies professionalism and care, from the skilled dentists to the welcoming front desk staff. I typically don't write reviews unless I feel strongly about a service, and I genuinely believe that the quality of care here merits recognition. I highly recommend checking out the North Kansas City Dental Group. They not only enhance your smile with their exceptional dental care, but they also offer a range of other services that can improve your overall health. Trust me; this is truly the best dental care provider.

Ever had a dentist do all of his/her own work - cleaning to crowning? I have been fortunate enough to call Steve Rueb my dentist for many, many years. I can easily answer the aforementioned questions by saying 1) I never feel rushed and 2) Dr. Rueb does all of his own work, start to finish. How many dentists can boast of that... very few, if any. Dr. Ruebe's sidekick, Machelle, is the kind of personality that no matter how bad a day you may be having can put a grin on your face. I can't judge service based on previous experience with other dentists because I have never had need to look elsewhere. Maybe that speaks for itself.

The difference between the experience in his office and the others I've been to in my decade-and-change of choosing my own dentists couldn't be more different. After you make your way to the end of a non-descript hallway on the 13th floor of the Traders on Grand building, you're greeted personally by a very friendly desk clerk in a small, modest waiting room. The waiting room is irrelevant, though, since they respect you enough to whisk you back to the chair and get started at your scheduled time. The doc comes right in, greets you warmly, and gets to work. The best part? He cleans and checks my teeth and sends me on my way. He doesn't insult my overcrowded mouth by trying to sell me Invisalign, insist I try some nuclear whitening service, or try to sell some fancy polish. Unlike all of the tooth malls I'd been to in the last few years, this is a DENTIST'S OFFICE. When I first walked into this office after dumping another dentist in the area, I was in the middle of scheduling fillings for 7 supposed cavities. It turned out I didn't have any, and haven't since I've been patronizing Dr. Rueb. He won't try to sell you something you don't need, and he takes care of you as an old-fashioned, honest practitioner with a humble smile and a mild-mannered, friendly disposition. It's as pleasant as going to the dentist can be.

They mailed me a bill for $121 which was because they failed to apply my payment for $119 at the time of service. They apologized then said they will just add the remaining $2 to my next appointment. I paid the $2 ( never had to pay for an error before) ). I told them We are Done. But Let's start at the beginning. My first appointment was over an hour. The first person holds the title of Most Aggressive Flosser. After she was finished violently attacking my gums, the next person was the dental hygienist who was pleasant and professional. After she polished and cleaned my teeth, another wait began. When my time in the office hit the 70 minute mark I said I needed to go. The Dr Neeland than quickly popped over, said I needed a filling repaired, then I scheduled that apt, my next cleaning and I was finally done. My second time through the door was to pay what was not covered my insurance. I popped over to the office chairs to snap a few pictures. The office is open, which means there is no privacy between patients being treated. My third time to the office was for my filling repair. That was typical until the end. After all the work was finished, Dr. Neeland ordered a panoramic X-Ray. I would call this $170 service Overtreatment. I have never had a post procedure X-Ray. In an era of rampant insurance Fraud Waste and Abuse, I know how this office stays open.

NO ONE at the office notified me of the credit. I went to my 6-month visit, expecting someone to mention the credit. No one mentioned the credit. They did mention scheduling another service. From the very first phone call, I was clear: I have real time constraints, and I did not want to split X-rays and cleaning into separate visits. I asked to do everything in one appointment. I was told that would push my start date out, and I accepted the wait to avoid multiple trips. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't do the cleaning that day and I'd have to come back -- the exact thing I'd asked to avoid. What made it worse was that I was surrounded by other patients who appeared to be getting their cleanings, so the claim that it couldn't be done didn't add up. The dentist found a few cavities, so on my way out I again asked to combine the cleaning and fillings into one visit. They agreed. Yet at that appointment, I got the cleaning, was sent back to the waiting room for fillings, waited about 20 minutes, and was then told the dentist was too backed up and I'd need to return -- either later that day or another day entirely. That's now a third trip for something I explicitly tried to schedule in one, and it doesn't even account for the deep cleaning or Invisalign still ahead. The X-ray process itself was also rough. The assistant handled the apparatus so aggressively that at points I thought my gums were bleeding from it scraping against them. On top of that, a second assistant had to come in and redo the X-rays because they weren't done correctly the first time. Between the constant rescheduling and the care I received, I won't be returning. Whether it's a scheduling problem or something else, the office here does not respect its patients' time.

I took a shot, as I needed a quick appointment, and darned if he didn't get me in ONE HOUR later (granted, they had a cancellation, so it was helping them out, too, but still). How did I crack my tooth, you ask? Well, while traveling on business, I was walking out of a Kroger, when I heard "someone call 9-1-1! A man is beating up an old man!" Being the Good Samaritan that I am, I rushed to help. This young, 20-something was high on something (PCP or meth), and waving his fists in the air. I helped, and got punched in the jaw before the police arrived. Enter cracked molar. Seriously, my travel life is an adventure! ;) Back to Dr. Bruso, which is why you are reading this review, if you haven't already stopped reading..... The office is in a GREAT location, between 11th/12th and Main/Walnut. The front desk staff, office manager, assistants - all top notch and professional. Dr. Bruso was very professional, thorough, and took excellent care of me. I had the option of watching a movie or using their Bose noise-cancelling headphones, so I chose the latter and caught up on podcasts. When all was said and done, I left happy, slightly swollen, but very pleased. I will definitely be returning for care here!

I was disgusted and told the dental assistants that he would NOT being doing any dental work on my daughter with this attitude and lack of mask wearing. A few weeks later I get an estimate from him for her dental work in the mail. By then we had been to two more dentists to evaluate what needed to be done. His quote was over double both of theirs and included putting veneers on my daughter's teeth that both the other (highly recommended) dentists said were not necessary especially for a child. I will never go to him! STAY AWAY!
