I don't write reviews like this lightly, but our family's experience here was bad enough that I feel obligated to be honest. Three members of my family--a 15-year-old, a 7-year-old, and myself--were all treated by Dr. Brendan. Every single one of us ended up needing another dentist to fix his work. Not one, not two--every patient he treated in our family required corrective care elsewhere. That's not bad luck, that's a pattern. We gave the office multiple chances to make it right. After repeat visits and no real resolution, we finally had to put our foot down and refuse to see him again. What made things worse was the experience with the senior dentist. His bedside manner with my young daughter was completely unacceptable. He didn't explain anything he was doing and repeatedly put instruments in her mouth without warning or reassurance. Watching your child sit there confused and scared while someone in a position of authority ignores basic communication is something no parent should have to deal with. The outcome speaks for itself. Our 7-year-old had to be referred to a pediatric dentist and ended up needing a tooth pulled. I had to go to an endodontist for a full root canal after what was supposed to be a simple cavity. These aren't minor issues--these are major corrections. But honestly, the worst part is what it did to my kids. My 7-year-old used to be completely fine going to the dentist--now she's scared and anxious. My 15-year-old has developed dental anxiety as well. That didn't happen by accident. If you're looking for a place that prioritizes patient care, communication, and especially how children are treated, this was not our experience at all. We won't be back, and I wouldn't trust them with my family again. read more

I did not appreciate the fact that I had a family emergency on the day my daughter had an appointment and I had to cancel. They charged me 25 dollars for a cancelation fee. Then to topnotnoff, I just got another bill for the rest of my family for 200 dollars! I did not even make an appointment with these people! Talk about ridiculous! I called and told them I already paid their cancelation fee and even sent them proof of the payment from my bank. They said" sorry we have no record of getting that payment and that I still owed them and there was nothing they could do from their end. They will be hearing from my attorney. read more

Second visit Shawnee location(new patient). office - modern, organized and clean. Friendly staff(Chelsea and Mckenzie) at front desk. Bailey was my hygienist and i give her top grades for patient service. Very personable, excellent cleaning and x-ray process and provided great tips on teeth maintenance and answered all concerns & questions. Dr. Dostal provided a professional greeting during my 1st visit and spent plenty of time referencing any issues, questions i had and went over the x-rays to point out any areas of concerns. Today was the day my wife got her dental crown in just 2 hours. She was so scared to have this crown done because she has a very strong gag reflex, but it was completely unfounded fear. Let me start by saying I have always hated going to the dentist. I have very sensitive teeth and hate feeling every scrape and cold air or water sending chilling nerve pains. This was the best dental experience I've had. My first appointment was to establish care and I came back for my cleaning today. The entire space is very clean, sleek and professional. The hygienists actually know what they're doing and make sure it's as painless an experience as possible. When I said I was nervous about my sensitive teeth, they made sure I was numbed up good and didn't feel a THING. Others might feel differently but that is exactly what I wanted. New to the area, and with a cracked tooth, I chose Mill Creek due to their website and close proximity. I did purchase their exam, X-ray and cleaning package, and my dental hygienist, Baylee, did an amazing job not only cleaning my teeth but also by making me feel comfortable and explaining thoroughly each step. Unfortunately, my dentist Dr. Kai Ezell, although seemingly knowledgeable, didn't really seem to want to take the time to truly explain or make me comfortable with the steps to remedy my cracked tooth, which would need to be extracted and the option I was interested in was an implant. He gave me the pricing and told me to go home and discuss it... the only person I need to discuss a procedure with is myself and care provider. I felt dismissed. I have since found another dentist, and am on my journey towards a dental implant. Lastly, if you are able to request a dental hygienist - please book Baylee. She is warm, knowledgeable and will make your cleaning both informative and comfortable. Five stars for Baylee! read more

1st appointment here and was gouged on my bill for $479 for a basic cleaning and X-ray, AFTER insurance. Was told over the phone when scheduling that my insurance would cover in full, but worst case scenario may owe $75. They agreed to lower it to $355 after speaking with them on the phone, but pricing is still beyond egregious. I would strongly recommend avoiding. If a family of four all decided to give this place a shot as your new dentist, you may be looking at $1,500 per visit for basic cleanings based on the prices I was gashed for. read more

He did a great job cleaning my teeth and talking me through areas of concern. When I met the dentist she took her time discussing my daily habits and what improvements I can make. I have recently returned to this office, and wanted to give it another chance. The staff is very nice, for the most part. I have not had a cleaning in a few years,but after their review. It was requested that I have a Periodontal Scaling and root planning (deep cleaning) done on my teeth to help get the deep tartar out from between my teeth. But this will cost over $500.00 out of pocket because my insurance will only cover 50%. I asked if we could plan that for a later date, when I have more time to plan for the expense, and just wanted to get a regular cleaning for now. Dr. .Lauren Andreas stated it would un-ethical for her to clean my teeth knowing that there are deeper issues at hand. Everyone there is so great and friendly--even with kids. They have a SUPER friendly receptionist who always remembers you. Highlights include: Nice clean office...TV's on the ceiling...they give kids treasure out of treasure box...great with kids...play area with movies & iPads...they totally take the "anxiety" out of visiting the dentist...hygienist are gentle...Dr. Dostal is genuine and has proven he will go the extra mile for his clients. He is very calm and reassuring--just great dentist all around. His wife is the other dentist so they are family owned, and she is the one who always works with our toddler girls, and they LOVE her. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and the cleaning (while painful) was great. BUUUUUUUT when the Dr. suggested that I needed a crown and that it would cost $1500, I looked for a second opinion. I called 3 other local dentists...their prices...$980, $830, $745. So, they might have TVs on the ceiling at Mill Creek, but you're the one paying for them. read more
