I had the Nerve Block Procedure by Dr. Souffrant and this is my experience. I hope it helps others…read morethat are desperate to have relief from pain as I was. I took a very bad fall and broke four ribs on my left side. The pain was beyond belief. After the ER visit I saw my primary dr and she strongly suggested I see Dr. Souffrant as she had heard of so many positive results with his nerve block procedure. Week two of my fall I told Dr. Souffrant I was ready for the block. I was of course nervous, but desperate for relief. The procedure itself was thankfully not at all what my mind had dreaded. It was simple and no real pain. I lay on my tummy and he numbed the area (painless) and then one by one found the corresponding nerves that were sending pain messages to my brain and blocked them. Due to a very large amount of osteoporosis in my spinal area Dr. Souffrant had to be cautious and work slowly. Mine was a challenging one but he was so precise. The whole thing took about a half hour. I felt a some pressure, twice, but no pain. From the time I walked out of the office I was feeling so sooo much better. The result was about an 85% relief. My bones are still healing and I and have to take it easy but now I could sleep and begin to get my life back. If you are nervous about the nerve block, please at least talk to Dr. Souffrant and see about getting relief. I am so grateful that I did. Life was hell with that pain. Don't suffer needlessly. The pain CAN improve and you can begin to get your life back. I am proof of that. Thank you Dr. Souffrant. Thank you. Ala Maitri-Comer

The part that got me is that I have been in severe pain, and they claim they sent me pain medicine, but I never received the prescriptions. I got there at 9:05.. filled out my paperwork..sat there for 20 minutes... they finally take me to a room at 9:35..okay not too bad.. spoke to the nurse briefly... she leaves and im left sitting in the room for over an hour just waiting... when an hour was up i opened the door and walked up to 3 nurses just sitting there gossiping... I said excuse my appointment was at 9:30 its now 10:30 do you know how much longer this is going to take? All three looked at me.. and the male said theres 2 people ahead of you so its going to be awhile before you are seen.. are freaking kidding me.. thats b.s. I said well I have a job that I need to get to just like anyone else.... i was here EARLY... there is no reason to have to wait an hour or more... One of the nurses looked at me and said "OK BYE" and waived me out... the staff is disorganized, unfriendly and some of the paperwork they make you sign is questionable... ive seen a few different doctors due to the accident and have NEVER been treated like this and have never been forced to wait longer than 20 minutes with an appointment. Dr Frye sadly ruined the use of my hand and my career as a vet nurse…read more After his botched my surgery, I have had to have 2 further surgeries for correction from his shoddy work. I went to Jewett Orthopedics in Orlando for repair of his work. I would go anywhere but to Doctor Frye. Brief History: I saw Dr Frye for cortisone shots in a failing pip joint, he recommended finger pip surgery as shots were not working. I informed him I would like to have joint replacement but he insisted it was not possible, which many doctors since then have said that it was totally possible. This was his first lie. Next, was the condition of my finger post surgery as it came out leaning to one side badly plus it was excruciatingly painful. In addition, I found out that he also injured a tendon in his surgery and never told me. It had to be repaired as well in a further surgery, and when I complained to him, his words were "Well I thought I got it straight". He sent me to hand therapy and the therapist commented on the poor surgery result. As a result they tried to splint it straight, 3 times. That didn't work, it was painful to try and they even splint to go leaning it the opposite way! And he did not stop there as he then told me I had to pay for it to be corrected from his shoddy handy work and even offreed to cut my finger off! That is when I decided to go elsewhere for a second opinion. I'm so glad I did! To correct his shoddy I had to have a pin inserted the length of my finger, down the bone in my finger for over 6 months to repair the tendon. Also, the fused joint had to be re-broken and a long plate was inserted. Then another surgery to remove the plate. To this day, it is still painful and hard to even use. (2 years on). I cannot use my finger for work or life in general. I cannot grasp my hand. I cannot use it without residual ache for hours, and a burning sensation, and I was only 59 when he did it. In conclusion, sadly all I can say is he didn't care. He turned on his heels, as after I begged for help, he just said well we can "cut it off" and then he walked out of the consult room. I'll bet this would be different if it was his botched finger surgery! My career and life was assisting in surgery with the animals. Now I can't even fill a syringe. Lastly, once you remove a joint you cannot ever replace it. Be very careful to ever remove a joint as it's irreversible, so I suggest you consider a replacement joint instead. Please research people! This surgeon may be kind to other people but he destroyed my daily life, cooking, cleaning, writing, carrying.,but most of all, I can never work again properly.

It actually made things worse. Much worse. Dr. Moyles is a nice enough man, but his surgical abilities are so-so. Now my left thumb hurts, I'll live with the pain since he's the only true hand specialist in town.
