I wish I could give no stars. He made my nose look worse. It's bigger and doesn't fit my face. My facelift was a joke. See pictures below. He agreed to the example pictures I sent. Then did whatever he wanted. When I told him about it, he said that's another procedure. Really? I have to pay you twice for what you should have done the first time. The gaslighting at this office is over the top. You know? Like when a salon ruins your hair then tells you it looks great. Only this won't grow out. I have always been attractive, but now I am not, due to the nose he gave me. Stay clear of this office. I got this done in March and now I try not to look in the mirror, because every time I do I feel like crying. I looked into suing him for my money back so I can at least try to fix my nose with another doctor. But no lawyer will take a plastic surgery case unless you are considered legally disfigured. When I decided to have the S-lift I did a lot of research and went on 4 consults with other surgeons before choosing Dr. Rachel. I am 10 days post procedure and amazed at how great everything looks. I still have minor swelling but every day I see improvement, and I'm excited to see the final result. I chose him because he is humble and the triple- board certifications are meaningful. The initial consultation was for injections but I had to ask him about my nose, which was moving to the left of my face. Because of the shift, I was grateful that I had to wear a mask but I was also hopeful that COVID and mask wearing would not last forever. Fast forward two months and I am healing so well and so fast from the procedure. I am so excited to look like myself again. I always looked young for my age, but the injections and the surgery on my nose make me feel so good about myself. As others have said, John Rachel is humble and kind. The fact that he is triple-board certified is reassuring. His training and expertise in noses complemented by his experience and training in plastic surgery made me immediately comfortable in accepting his plan of action. I am so glad I did. His staff, with the exception of one person (whom I thought was rude in her comment about how my nose "had a real twist"), is comprised of welcoming professionals. I STRONGLY discourage you from getting any kind of injectable filler, Kybella and/or radiofrequency (Accent) from Dr. Rachel's office. Dr. Rachel inappropriately recommended and performed a dual Kybella and radiofrequency treatment to correct minor jowling at the corners of my mouth, and the procedure caused severe volume loss on the left side of my face and neck. After expressing my concern to Dr. Rachel's nurse, she was genuinely concerned and when speaking of the kybella treatment said, "it's like it migrated up the side of your face." Dr. Rachel on the other hand was unwilling to take any accountability for the results and became very defensive. He did however suggest that he could do fat transfer to the left side of my face and threading to my neck to try and correct the volume loss and resulting sagging skin. And when I reached out to his office manager to explain my concerns about the continuing effects of the treatment weeks later, she said "something went wrong but that's the risk you take." After consulting with at least 10 plastic surgeons, I now know the "corrective procedures" he recommended were also inappropriate. The consensus from the consults with the plastic surgeons is that due to the volume loss and the sagging skin that I now require a face lift and neck lift to correct the sagging skin and restore the facial volume. Because of how devastating these results are, I felt a responsibility to report Dr. Rachel to the boards that he's certified in to have his privileges to use Kybella investigated and hopefully revoked. After seeing the before and after pictures several of the plastic surgeons I consulted with afterward said I was lucky to not have nerve damage from the Kybella treatment performed by Dr. Rachel and none of them had heard of it being injected into the face. Two of the plastic surgeons I consulted with also stated that these types of non-invasive and non-surgical treatments such as Kybella and radiofrequency often have more devastating results than surgical procedures. I also noticed a blue discoloration in my undereye area after the volume loss and the plastic surgeons all agreed that it was a Tyndall effect and that it is caused from incorrect filler placement. I only ever had undereye filler placed by Dr. Rachel, and this also turns out to have been done incorrectly. There are many other more skilled cosmetic surgeons, so choose wisely. One stop shop offices like his will do any procedure you want for monetary gain but their discretion and skill level are questionable. If character is measured by how someone handles the fallout of a mistake made by their poor decision making and skill level, and whether it devastates just one person's life or many, then Dr. Rachel is a man and physician of little character. I got a septoplasty from Dr. Rachel and he was amazing! He was so helpful throughout the whole process and the procedure was so easy! I've had an awesome recovery with manageable pain and swelling. There was a day about a month after surgery that I ran a high fever and after testing negative for COVID, Dr. Rachel had me come in, despite his office being closed for the day. He cares about his patients and is truly great! His receptionist team and nurses are so incredibly helpful and nice. read more

I recently had a lateral eye brow lift by Dr Rachel. This man is absolutely amazing at what he does! I am only 1 week out and my eyes look absolutely beautiful. I had VERY minimal swelling and brusing and no pain! If you are considering having ANY work done especially on your face... the ONLY Dr to see is Dr Rachel. He is by far the absolute best! In the past I had friends who had work done by other Dr 's and once they saw my results they were amazed. I also had Dr Rachel do an upper eye lid lift about a year ago and I have absolutely NO scar line. This man is not only a MASTER surgeon, he's one of the kindest and most humble people I have ever met. I first went to him for a lower bleph over 10 years ago. The results were and still are spectacular. Last week (for my 60th birthday present to myself) I had a mini-face lift. I'm only 5 days post op and cannot believe the transformation! I went in for eyelid surgery and face lipo. Biggest mistake ever. Eyelids were botched. He offered to redo them at no cost. Second time around they still don't look good and I am not about to try a 3rd procedure. The face lipo really ruined me. He added so much fluid that he stretch out my skin. I looked like a monster walking out and the swelling took forever to go down because of the massive amount of fluid. Needless to say, I have saggy skin. I used to look good for my age. I have started using filler and had to put cheek implants to raise my skin a little bit. I am going to go for jaw implants as well to see if I can stretch it a little bit more along with a thread lift. Eventually I will have to try the skin tite procedure. This is so expensive, painful and a drain on my vacation time. Wish I had been happy with how I looked. Still feel depresswd about that decision. So if you are going to him, do your research. I don't usually write reviews for doctors, but Dr. Rachel is as talented of a doctor as you can find. He's performed nasal/sinus surgery, mole removal, and various laser and cosmetic procedures on me. Whether it's an office visit for something major or minor, Dr. Rachel is forthright and thorough about the issue, honest about what my expectations should be, and takes the time to make sure I'm making an informed decision. And I've never been disappointed with the results. He has two office locations--making it convenient whether I'll be downtown or on the northside--and the staff is amazing. From the time you hit the door until the time you leave, you'll be attended to with friendliness and care. went to dr rachel over a yr ago to get a triple chin thinned out. am satisfied with those results, wish i was more aggresive with the jowl area....but for the most part the staff and dr rachel were wonderful...i still return for botox, fillers and chemical peels .. at first was 2 times a yr. had a deep line between eyes...now periodically return to monitor ... i am truly happy with the results attained from dr rachel...i feel so much better about myself and feel "beautiful" again !! read more
