Although I really dislike leaving negative reviews, I feel compelled to express my concerns, so others are aware. After the surgery, I noticed a line and indentation above my jawline on the right side of my face. When I asked Doctor Block if it would eventually fade, his response was simply, "maybe, maybe not." I returned for a follow-up hoping for more guidance, but the suggestion was to use fillers. This left me wondering why I had bothered with a Facelift in the first place if fillers were going to be the solution. Additionally, the neck lift that was supposed to improve my appearance did not meet my expectations. My neck still looks problematic, and despite multiple visits, I felt there was a lack of concern or helpful input from Doctor Block and their staff. Even after nearly a year had passed, I sent photos asking for advice after consulting with two other surgeons, but the response remained indifferent. Based on my experience, I would caution others against choosing Doctor Block for facial surgery. I did not feel supported or cared for by them or their staff throughout the process. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.

The 40s have brought bags to my eyes among many other joys of aging (i partly blame my 3 children…read more:)). One of my friends mentioned she had a great consultation with Dr. Tamara Fountain about a lower blepharoplasty so I decided to do the same. I also noticed that she was highly recommended on a fb group i had joined all about blepharoplasty, although the pics of people post surgery on that fb group were enough to make me want to cancel my appointment. I was able to get an appointment a few weeks after calling. Her office is conveniently located near my house, which I liked since the other doctors i was referred to were in the city or far suburbs. I was seen within minutes of arriving for my appointment. They did an eyesight test which i wasn't expecting and didn't put my contacts in that morning (and my glasses were in the car). So i highly recommend bringing any corrective eyewear you have. Dr. Fountain did a great job of explaining why i have bags (thank you genetics). She then told me she didn't think I needed surgery for many years and I really appreciated her honesty. She did show me some more post surgery pics to properly scare me about future surgery, but I do appreciate knowing what I would be getting myself into. She suggested looking into med spa treatments and even gave me some names (one located within her office) and said to come back years from now...and in the meantime to send my mom. :) Overall, I was really impressed with the way she explained everything and her honesty. I'd highly recommend if on the hunt for an ophthalmologist.

She performed ptosis repair on one eye, and an upper bleph on both eyes. The ptosis correction was…read moreovercorrected. Post-op , I asked her if there was a revision available. She reached for her "Horrors of Possible Risks Picture Binder," and told me I was welcome to consult with another surgeon. Meanwhile, that eye didn't fully close. I had dry eye, constantly. That eye CROSSED if I opened my eyes wide. I was advised by my ophthalmologist to "wait a while to see if it settles down." It didn't. Another (excellent) oculoplastic surgeon performed corrective surgery (to the corrective surgery), and removed scar tissue. That mostly improved the eye crossing, but the eye still doesn't close when I sleep. I now have to have further surgery to severe my orbitalis muscle and re-attach it, then possibly another surgery for repair if that causes droopy eye. All of this is covered by my insurance, and my insurance surely would have paid Dr Fountain. ANY plastic surgeon I've consulted performs revisions if something goes haywire. But, not Dr. Fountain. RUN!

Additionally, the doctor didn't mention the possibility of losing normal eyelid function with my surgery and when I questioned his suggestion for fat graft he minimized my concerns. I was worried about asymmetry and that's what resulted with my surgery. I didn't want the fat graft but the doctor suggested it again and offered it at no charge, huge mistake! Lastly, I went for a cheek-lift and was given a printout for pre and post-op instructions for a facelift since they didn't have one for cheek-lift to give me. Not sure if they didn't have one made or they ran out but very unprofessional. See pics for more detail: Results: 0/10 Doctor: 0/10 Nurse and staff: 0/10 Would I recommend? Never

I have had a previous plastic surgery nightmare concerning my rhinoplasty and then revision with another doctor, so I feel I know a good one when I see one. Dr. Epstein was extremely thorough and spent ONE WHOLE HOUR explaining the procedure in detail and answered all my questions before I could even ask. He was fantastic! He also has a patient coordinator Jill Pearlman who is equally fantastic. They didn't pressure or coerce me or patronize me in any way. I was very, very impressed! The only thing holding me back right now is shitty Bidenomics! It's sad to see how the economy is affecting everything right now, but I will get this done with Dr. Epstein as soon as I can. I highly recommend going to see him if you are contemplating doing anything to your face/body! His prices are competitive and worth it! Plastic surgery is not the place to skimp! I know from experience. Good luck!

I was a 63 year old woman with a droopy face - and the mirror just didn't reflect the way I felt…read moreinside. After much research, I chose Dr. Byun for my facelift. He and his nurse, Lauren, took SO much time talking to me, showing me pictures, telling me about his practice, and explaining why his procedure was so unique. I'm now 10 months out and I look and feel so much better, so much more confident. Dr. Byun's office staff is also incredible. Lauren and Lindsay are warm, friendly, skilled professionals that aren't intimidating or uppity in any way. Such a different vibe than a previous doctor that I'd seen. I showed up at all my post-op visits with a list of questions and they listened and walked me through every concern that I brought in with me. Healing takes time and comes in phases, so I needed to be talked off the ledge a few times with a gentle reminder to just be patient. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Byun. He is an amazingly talented, detail oriented 'perfectionist' surgeon that performs cutting edge signature procedures that will no doubt be copied and become the norm in the plastic field. By repositioning the actual muscles in the face (not just the skin) his end results look incredibly natural. No 'wind tunnel' looks are ever coming out of his office! If you're researching a plastic surgeon, your search should end with Dr. Byun.

I don't think these are legitimate reviews. I will keep this short, feel free to message me…read moredirectly with questions. Dr, Byun is nice but I was left with a permanent scar on my face. Spoke to other medical professionals and they told me it was because he didn't stitch it tight enough. Makes sense because right when I got in the car blood was literally dripping down and out of my face and I thought it was normal for some reason.. it wasn't. Ever since I got the surgery I told him something wasn't right but then I was charged again for him to fix what he messed up. Even tho I told him the next day after surgery. Also I was completely over charged. Should have shopped around more or talked to more people because my cousin was charged half the price for the exact same surgery and when I asked other surgeons afterwards, they told me it should have be half the price I paid. Unfortunately I got ripped off and have a permanent scar on my face. I tried emailing them but no response so unfortunately I'm left leaving this bad review. Also- Nicole the nurse will try to negotiate with you.. it so sad. Pushy- after coming down $2,500.00- still over double the price, she said i better not change my mind because if she goes back and tells dr byun and i end up not doing it she's going to look stupid... lol I really?? Haha okay...?? I knew that was a sales tactic but ignored it...I should have ran.
