His office is beautifully run & his staff all enjoy one another & working for him. You get a positive feeling the moment you walk in the door. It goes without saying he's a great Dentist. He really listens, is caring, sensitive . . . and witty. Sometimes i want to laugh so hard but can't because he's working on my teeth! I trust him implicitly; he really cares about his patients & is a perfectionist about his work. When I've gotten crowns & bridges, he takes pains that the teeth match perfectly, are aesthetically pleasing & fit perfectly. You'll never worry about crowns falling out at awkward times; when he cements them in, they stay in. He's a complete pro, and the fact that the office is so well run is a tribute to his dedication to his patients. His staff is absolutely terrific too; Beryl & Deb have been with Dr Siegal for years & manage things smoothly, smartly & are lovely people as well. His hygienists are all top notch too. And his office, ahhh! -- serene with a rotating collection of beautiful art & flowers . There's a reason patients are always smiling & waving goodbye when they leave Dr Siegal's treatment room -- they know they're in great hands & they've enjoyed coming to the office. Dr. John Siegal is the absolute best dentist in Manhattan! My husband and I have been going to Dr Siegal since some time in the 1980's and, even after we retired and relocated to Florida, we refuse to give up our Doc! We pre-plan and include our dental appointments in our two trips into New York. Our children have been going to Dr. Siegal since they were teenagers and now that they are adults and can make their own choices, they chose to continue to entrust their dental care to Dr. Siegal. Dr. Siegal is an excellent dentist whose bedside manner far exceeds expectations. During our visit in 2012, he found that I needed more work that the scheduled cleaning. Doc made sure that I was able to get all the work done so that we could fly back to Florida as planned. He is a dentist but he cares about the whole person. This is evident in the way in which he asks about our health and wellness and extends himself to enquire about our aging mother and our grandchildren!! Additionally he has a great staff and an excellent group of hygienists. I especially love to see the beautiful smile on his assistant's (Beryl) face as she professionally works along side Dr. Siegal. I've been going to Dr Siegal for over a decade now. I can't speak highly enough about him or his staff. The Doctor himself is caring, friendly, professional and takes his time with patients. More importantly he's a perfectionist. I've had both crowns and fillings done and in all cases he's taken care to make sure everything fits and matches perfectly. On occasion, when things don't feel quite right (which happens with new dental work @David B.), he's happy to fit me in to do a quick adjustment and/or file. In short, it's clear that he wants everything to be perfect and he'll deliver on it. Furthermore his staff is a joy; friendly and inviting (love Debra). Before going to Dr. Siegal I thought that having teeth cleaned was one of those things that just always hurt. They scrape, poke and make your gums bleed. I'd have it done every 6 months but it was something I just assumed it was an uncomfortable thing. Since going to Dr. Siegal's hygienists I now realize that teeth can be cleaned well with very little discomfort. They use mostly a fancy water pick and then just a little scraping. I know it's done well becuase Dr. Siegal then inspects their work and has on occasion made them clean up better. In short, I unequivocally recommend him. read more

I was referred to Dr. Siegal's office back in the mid 80's, and I have never looked back. Dr. Siegal is kind, caring, and has movie star good looks. His attention to detail, and interest in my comfort has always been unsurpassed. He possesses a meticulous sensibility that is reflected in his attractively appointed office, and more importantly, in the fine work he does. Dr. Siegal created 8 front "crowns" for me, and the process was painless and, if you can imagine, fun. He and Beryl, his dependable assistant, were diligent, thorough, and very enthusiastic about matching color and size. The result is a glorious age appropriate smile that is aesthetically "spot on." I am proud to say I often get accolades about my front teeth. Dr. Siegal's office is run faithfully by Deborah and three hygienists, including the divine Karen, all of whom have been with him for years. Each member of his staff is knowledgable, personable, and always enjoyable! (There are often laughs to be heard coming from the surrounding operatories!) I have never been inconvenienced by problematic wait times. Dr. Siegal has cultivated a meticulous practice over the years, and I am grateful to have found him. If I could, I would give Dr. Siegal 10 stars. I can't speak highly enough of him. I started seeing him over 25 years ago and he has restored heath and sanity to me and my mouth more than once. I could start with an accident years ago when I had several shattered teeth and a broken jaw and how Dr. Siegal beautifully restored my smile, but that's old news. There was a time when my workplace changed their dental insurance, so I had to leave Dr. S. for a while. Too bad for me. Now I'm back (it was llike coming home) and can honestly say that Dr. Siegal was able to accomplish in 9 weeks what my previous dentist could't do in 4 years. I'm 68, and my teeth have never looked as good as they do right now, today. His office staff (Berle + Debra) have been a part of the office since I can remember. They are both so lovely to deal with and work so well with the doctor. As for the doctor himself, his superior dental workings aside, he is so up, and so nice, and so charming, that you might want to bite his fingers, if only he weren't wearing rubber gloves. Dr. Siegal makes visiting the dentist a pleasure - something I never thought I'd say about dental work. I had been neglecting my dental care because I had a string of bad dentists and I loathed the idea of going. But a friend recommended Dr. Siegal to me and it's completely changed the way I think about my teeth. Everyone at his office is upbeat & positive and friendly. Dr. Siegal works very efficiently and painlessly. He's completely professional and I've learned things about my teeth and caring for them that surprisingly, other dentists never told me. I'm happy to go for my cleanings instead of avoiding them, as I used to do. I also did a bit of price checking before I went and I can say that his prices are competitive. I have been going to Dr Siegal for over twenty years. During that time I have had just about every tooth - gum related issue you can imagine, from crowns to cavities and everything in between. Dr Siegal has been nothing less than professional, honest, caring and compassionate. My two daughters and now my 11 year old granddaughter have also been going to Dr Siegal since they were born. Perhaps most impressive has been his work with my youngest daughter, who has special needs. Dr Siegal has made her feel very relaxed and comfortable and he has exhibited great patience with her. I visited Dr. Siegal for the first time this week, for a broken front tooth. After I opened wide and said "ahhhhhh", Dr. Siegal inspected the damage, said he could completely restore the tooth, and he proceeded to do do just that. There was very little pain, he patiently explained what he was doing at every step, and after about a half hour the tooth looked and fit better than before I'd chipped it. After that initial experience, I wouldn't hesitate about going back myself, or referring friends looking for a good dentist. read more

I have been going to Dr. Siegal since the mid-90's when I returned to NYC. I no longer experience that 'ugh, I have to go to the dentist' feeling I'd had for so many years previously. Everyone in the office is welcoming. His hygienists are gentle but thorough and my teeth and gums look great. I haven't needed anything other than routine checkups in almost 20 years which I can attribute to the fine care I receive every 6 months. I cannot recommend Dr. Siegal highly enough. I visited Dr. Seigal last week because I was feeling a terrible pain in my gums behind my wisdom tooth. He saw me the same day I called and very thoroughly cleaned and treated my gums for infection. He very clearly explained what the issue was and provided Instruction on how to prevent such an infection in the future. The speed and ease in which he treated me was impressive and I plan on returning to him for my regular cleanings from now on. read more
