The dentist, front desk staff, and technicians were all incredibly kind and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, the overall experience was uncomfortable and left both me and my partner feeling uneasy. We chose this office because we don't have dental insurance and their membership plan seemed like a good option. The biggest issue was with the male staff member who discussed pricing with us (I believe he was referred to as a "treatment coordinator" or something similar). He was extremely pushy and entered the exam room multiple times, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. It made me really uncomfortable. He also gave me incorrect information more than once, which the dentist later had to clarify. The whole interaction felt disorganized and left me questioning the professionalism of the place beyond basic services like cleanings or fillings. A minor detail, but worth mentioning: this was the first dental office I've ever visited that didn't offer a small dental goody bag. It's a small thing, but something I've come to expect and it adds to the impression that they might be cutting corners. If you have insurance or other options, I'd recommend exploring those first. read more

By far the worst facility I've ever been to. I had a cracked molar and went in on an emergency visit due to severe pain. Once they ascertained that I had top tier insurance the dentist was trying to tell me that he needed to do other procedures that weren't related to my emergency situation. I explained that I was not local to where his office is so I wouldn't be able to come back. That's when he started adding extra procedures to what my tooth extraction would entail. After that I went to a reputable dental facility and had my tooth extraction and was told that the rest of my teeth were perfectly healthy and with the exception of a cleaning in a few weeks I was fine. Clean place. Modern technology. The front desk are very pushy with prices and harass you with phone call and reminders. I came here for 3? Years, but my last visit I decided I was done with their pushy-ness. As far as the dental care, it's fine. On more than one occasion I told them where I had pain and they insisted on poking and prading causing shooting pain. When they told me that I have decay under the crown, and I asked for a price breakdown of what it would cost.... They came back with a huge number and the dude hovered over me asking "what do you want to do", giving me the look with his eyes.... As if money grows on trees. read more

The sales twink is super pushy. The dentists also seem to get interrupted a lot during their work, and I wish they would shut the door and just focus on the task at hand. The cleaning was also probably the most painful I've ever received. That being said, I was satisfied with the outcome of their dental work. Went to MediDental after having a terrible experience at another dentist through an OpenCare referral, so I tried ZocDoc and was not dissapointed. I found MediDental, which is right down the street from me. The office was clean, the staff was friendly, I was seen on time AND was moved through the appointment quickly because I was on a time constraint. After needing to find a dentist last minute to get an emergency fix, I called MediDental and was able to make a same day appointment! Unheard of, I know. I know. I arrived on time, filled out the necessary paperwork with the receptionist and headed to the back. And I was walking to the back, the receptionist advised I could watch Netflix if I was nervous. I received a cleaning, x-rays, and a fix on a filling all under an hour! Unheard of! 9/10 would recommend and they will be seeing me again! read more

If I could rate this place a zero star...I would. But I'll give it a one for clean facility! Just be careful when you go into this place and make sure you properly look at ALL reviews before choosing this place. I went in there for a simple cleaning and TMJ issue and left with a deal I felt like I made with the devil and walked out with pay plan for over 5k. They said I needed a deep clean that litterally costed over 2k and wouldn't honor the discount unless I promised not to say anything on social..but if I can make people more aware of this place..worth it. Please do your research before hand. This guy who calls himself a Financial advisor, who isn't even that but is a receptionist...sent my X-rays to a doc who was too busy to even call me. I went with a Groupon as I needed service without breaking the bank since my insurance ran out. I was a bit hesitant, but they treated me well even with the voucher. They didn't try to hustle me with other services and no add ons were necessary. I didn't even have to pay taxes and fees like other places. It was really clean and the staff took preventative measures because of covid. They have detailed xrays and showed me what I had done from another place and etc... This place even has an in-house plan. Their dental savings plan is designed for those who do not have dental insurance. I was told about it, I may do their plan if my dental insurance runs out again next year. read more

I originally wrote a review, but I felt like it was based more on emotion then my actual experience. I'm truly not happy with this office at all but they do deserved to get reviewed accordingly. For starters this facility is clean and modern and easy to get to by train. The wait time is generally pretty fast and I've never had to wait long to be seen. The main dentist is efficient and gets the job done in a professional manner (highly recommended him). The office manager Daniel is nice and tries to rectify situations the best he can. However, he does gaslight you so be aware of that. Whoever's in charge of the payments truly needs a refresher in customer service. I self-pay, and I bought their in-house discount plan. My first visit I paid way more than I needed to in order to show good faith I was committed. When my bill exceeded a certain amount I asked if they can work with me, and I was met with a hard no without even looking into my account. After much pushback, they finally agreed to work with me.. Second situation I was place with a dentist I didn't request and he did AWFUL work. He had poor bedside manner I left with both sides of my mouth cut from opening It so wide. In addition to that the work he did fell out in less than a year. Unfortunately for me the plan lapsed by a couple days and I was not honored to come in and fix it. I then was put in a position where I had re-purchase the plan in order not to be charged an astronomical price . Moving forward when they fixed it they put the defective dirty one back in my mouth. Not sure if this is normal protocol but it certainly has me concerned of bacteria. Final straw with this place when they booked my appointment incorrectly and wasted my time going there for no reason. After all of these situations, I just decided to cut ties and find a different dentist because let's face is we are in NYC and they are on every corner. read more

I don't need to pay $125 to have a dentist tell me about things I already know. I came in hoping for treatment for a root canal in one of my molars. I spoke to the front desk, over the phone, if they perform a root canal for tooth number 2. The front desk said yes, I schedule an appointment for a consultation to be turned away because this procedure requires an endodontist. The clinic referred me to an endodontist that is located in Suffolk County that only works 4 days a week, no weekends. Bottom line, I know what treatment I needed and the front desk if they perform this type of treatment and she said yes. The outcome was I didn't get the needed service because I need to see a specialist. I felt like I wasted my money and it was also a waste of time. I guess it is partially my fault for not doing my full research because molars are usually performed by an endodontist but at the same time, I feel like the clinic already know that they can't perform it. On the other hand, the clinic seems nice and the people who work there do want to provide the best customer service. However, they just don't have an endodontist on staff. This is why I gave this place an OK rating. I would recommend this place if you need general services. read more

I have been having tooth aches for about 2 weeks now, unfortunately i couldn't get in contact with my primary dentist. He just happens to be an awful piece of work that my insurance company had listed in the service providers. I happened to come across MediDental care on Instagram weird algorithms, I saw that they accept my insurance and thought I'd try my luck. The following day I called when they were open and explained my situation to them, that I was in need of an emergency exam. within 10 minutes they called me back with an opening, for me to come in. The staff was courteous, attentive and intuitive, the Dentists were informative as well, my questions were answered, my issue was resolved and I was satisfied with my service. I'm now a new client with them and will be back in two weeks for further evaluation and services, and will keep an active review on them after every visit. 10/10 I would recommend their services, so far so good, they can work with you and in a timely manner as well, my issue was resolved in an 1 hr total. read more

made an appointment online with medidental care in astoria and it was a breeze doing so. a nice clean modern state of the art dental equipment and very nice professional staff. i made an appointment for xrays and cleaning which took a combine 40 minutes the most and after seeing the dentist for a no rush evaluation, two more visit for some minor recommended care and its a wrap. they take a bunch of health insurance plans including the one i have and any addition cost is explained in plain simple english. i would recommend this place and they do the basic to the heavy duty stuff as well. glad my cuz told me about medidental care in astoria and it was painless literally speaking. read more

The chairs are actually massage chairs so it's nice to relax while you're getting your teeth cleaned. The staff are very friendly and kind and answered any questions I had. The front desk is professional and welcoming, it was not long at all for me to be seen, I was seen right after proving my information. I've always dreaded going to the dentist, especially since living in NYC because dentists are often quite shady. I passed by MediDental and decided to give them a try. They're honestly some of the nicest people I've met in a dentist's office, from the receptionists to the dentist himself. Dr. Moshman is very skilled, nice, and funny. He always makes sure to explain the steps he takes for my procedures and takes time to answer questions I might have. No one will make the patients feel uncomfortable or rushed. All the patient rooms have Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime video on the TV screens, and they ask what we'd like to watch -- which is awesome :-). The chairs are also massage chairs, so 10/10 best dental experience. In all seriousness, I wouldn't write this review if I didn't wholeheartedly trust them with my teeth. read more

What a fantastic team of professionals here! First off, they are open on Sundays, which allowed me to make an appointment for my mom, who at 83, is very cautious about any dental care due to bad experiences. She cancelled two appointments without my knowledge and their office manager, (Manny or Emanuel?) was so kind and understanding about allowing me to reschedule. What a gentleman! When we finally did make it in the place was well lit, clean and impeccably managed. Their staff was all wonderful and they treated my very fearful mom with the utmost care and kid gloves. She had the special of x-rays, cleaning and consult. They allowed me to be as close as possible during all the procedures and assuage any of my mom's anxiety. Their dental hygienist was thorough and gentle with her cleaning, their dentist was patient and answered all our questions. Really I would give them 10 stars if that were possible! I went here today for just a cleaning. My schedule constantly changes and they were very accommodating with my three time changes for the appointment. I got there early and they took me early. Very very clean facility. The chair has a back massager and you can watch Netflix while getting. Cleaned! I asked the doctor about teeth whitening, and he was very honest with me that my teeth were perfectly white and I didn't need it! (They are white but I am OCD). I did appreciate the honestly and that they didn't try to push extra payments or products on me. This place is shady. Decided to try it out for a routine cleaning since it's closer than my regular dentist. They told me I needed 8 cavity fillings and a crown. This was a surprise to me, as I had been to my dentist 6 months prior with no issues. They then proceeded to tell me that even with my insurance (which is solid), this would cost me north of $2,000. Their in house financial consultant came in and went over this hefty estimate and my various options to pay it off, all of which I declined. I then took my x-rays to my regular dentist who told me that I do not need any fillings and he'll see me again in six months. Granted 1 star since they have massage chairs and Netflix though, that was a nice touch. read more
