I purchased a used Blazer in late Jan. and had the same experience as G.H. on this Yelp site. My John Sisson salesman added $699 for some kind of anti-theft tracking package, LoJack (as is my full coverage insurance wouldn't pay on a stolen car) and $499 for paint and fabric insurance. They claimed both packages were mandatory and that they were "required" to add them. I'm not blaming the salesman, I'm sure he was trained to do this, as this is mostly all profit for the dealer. Along with a $490 doc fee for these items. That's $1688 added to the advertised price of a used vehicle. I was told by the salesman that these additional costs were "included in the price of the car". Now apparently this means the cost will be ADDED to the total price of the car. I interpreted the statement as 'included' meaning I will receive these services at "NO ADDITIONAL COST" to the car; THEY PLAY WORD GAMES. I went into this dealership with some preliminary final figures. When the final figures were revealed, I realized the final cost was about $1700 more than I anticipated. I figured that this dealership was reputable so my figures must be wrong. Boy, was I wrong about "reputable". What they do is called "upselling" when buyers are tricked or pressured into buying unnecessary add-ons. As these add-ons are explained a buyer signature was requires so the dealer can say you were fully explained about these additional products, if you complain later, (they know how to cover their tracks). I never signed so many papers at a dealership in my life because of these additional products. (I recommend taking a lawyer with you if buying a car here). I was there 4 hours purchasing this car. The last time I bought a car at another dealership I was there about an hour and a half. When I got home, I went over the figures because I sensed something was incorrect. In their "Pennsylvania motor vehicle retail installment contract" I discovered these additional $1688 "up sales" are listed under "optional insurance". I wasn't told these products where "optional" by the salesman. At that point I felt I was taken advantage of, maybe because I'm a senior citizen, but I know this was a scam. The next day I went back to the dealership very upset, and at the dealer the G.M. offered a, (no argument), more than a half refund by check to me, (an obvious admission of guilt) in which it took almost 3 weeks to receive. and I made sure I cashed the check before I wrote this review. Another issue that makes it difficult to analyze all the itemized cost at the dealership is because they use a computer monitor to look at, to review all the individual cost. This prevents the buyer from going over the itemized cost line by line with a pencil or pen on paper to check-off each item as you review it, you can't markup the monitor. I asked for a printout of the documents before I left the dealer. The only reason I'm giving a one star in my review is because they did give me a partial refund for the "up sale" items. I was charged for floor mats. When I went to the dealership to pick up the vehicle I asked where the floor mats were at? The response I got from the salesman was that they were lost or someone took them. Needless to say they never gave my daughter the mats. I can't believe that this was the response to a paying customer. Plus the add on items like the tracking device(LoJack) which they told me that would save on insurance is not true. It didt help my insurance at all. None of their add ons were optional they were already added into the price. read more

horrible customer service and sketchy . they add on multiple options to the loan saying its mandatory most of them not needed for the car . wont show you the bank paperwork and numbers just want you to sign there '' car loan invoice '' on a regular piece of paper , mostly because they are telling the bank a higher amount than what they have listed and not tell you that cause it's a bait and switch tactic thus resulting in a high payment and interest rate not matching the car price with down payment etc. . Bait & Switch Dealership. Inquired about car online. They called me and asked if I'd like to test drive next day. They didn't say the car was sold. Called them 1 hour beforehand to say was coming to see car and I'd be a little late. They said that was fine, come on in. The didn't say car was sold. Drove an hour to get there. Waited for salesman 1/2 hour. Yet they didn't say car was sold. Spent 1/2 hour talking with salesman who asked about the cars I have, financing, my credit rating, .... Finally said we're getting ahead of ourselves and I just want to test drive car. Yet again, didn't say car was sold. Waited another 1/2 hour for him to get the keys. He comes back and tell me bad news and good news. The car I wanted was sold but he had another car, but the one he tried to sell me was $17,000 more. The same car I went to see is still on their website. I guess to dupe other unsuspecting consumers looking to buy a car. Highly unethical dealership. Will be staying away. Ironically, I did buy a car from them years earlier and they were fine. Will be disregarding any positive ratings they have as they've clearly changed. They ended up wasting 3 hours of my day. Not to mention time I spent online, another hour, looking at their website. Not a way I wanted to start a relationship with a dealer. But clearly, they are not to be trusted. I've been a harsh critic of Sisson Nissan in the past, but I had a very good experience yesterday that made me change my mind. I had a brake issue come up unexpectedly on my Nissan vehicle, and Erin the service manager was able to get me scheduled and fixed up on the very next day. I spent 3.5 hours at the dealership, and during that time, I was able to do some work on my laptop using one of their work station desks, I received a free snack (cookie), bottle of water, and several free coffees (and one tea), while I was there. Savannah was my service advisor, and she gave me a quote which I accepted, and then later, I found a coupon in my e-mails for 15% off, which she gladly accepted and saved me over $100 off the total. While waiting, I talked to Joe in sales, and he was willing to listen to me and was not pushy at all, and I told him that I need to hold onto my current vehicle for as long as possible, he was understanding, and told me that when I am ready, he would love to sell me my next Nissan. Also, while there I had several other interactions with the staff and the detail crew came to me and pointed out things that they did while my truck was in the shop (they tried removing some yellow paint from the bottom of my vehicle from an incident when Penndot was painting lines but not letting them dry). Also, my truck was washed before they gave it back to me. I would have given five stars for this visit, but am taking one star off for past grievances, but I am much happier now, than I have been in the past . . . THANKS SISSON NISSAN . . . Cheers! P.S. The car I researched online was priced at $23,800. I have purchased many cars and am familiar with additional fees for taxes, title, etc. Trade in value offered by J Sisson for my current vehicle was $4000. Yet the offer I received, which INCLUDED a $4000 trade in, still came to more than than $23800. I questioned their math and was told "this is how we present all our offers", like I was the crazy one. DO NOT go to these people. They are the worst. my first deal with them was amazing which is why I went back. this time is a nightmare. my car was stolen two weeks after I bought it. I found out when I reported it that the car was not registered in my name. I called sisson and they assured me it was and sent me docs dated THAT day showing it was registered. it was only the application. two weeks late I get pulled over by a cop running random plates and found out my plates were switched when it was stolen. they took my plate and said I need to get a new one. I went to do that and guess what. it's still not in my name. over a month later. the notary and police said the dealership could give me one. they would not. I asked for a loaner car while they fix this mistake. they would not. instead Robyn Dodworth from sisson takes an attitude with me like it's my fault my car still isn't registered. I have to uber everywhere. it's costing me a lot of money. I was told by Preston the. salesman it's being processed to just wait a few days or a week. I can't afford Ubers for a week. they refuse to help me and have chosen to ignore mu texts or calls. I will be recovering my costs in court and plan to escalate this as high as I can thru Nissan. you do not treat someone who just spent thousands of dollars in your dealership like this. this is unacceptable. who knows how many other cars go unregistered by them. I only found out because my car was stolen. I urge you not to go to these people. they are the absolute worst. I still have no resolution and no offers of help. just to wait it out. read more

Do not fall for the free state inspection when you purchase a car at this location. Recently was told to pass inspection on 2016 Nissan Versa that had only 50,000 miles on that would need to replace both control arms costing $1011.49 plus tax. Took car to indepent inspection center after being told the price of this and other center said in NO WAY did it need both control arms replaced. Indepent center also said I should report this to the state so John Sisson does not take advantage of other customers !!! By the way the inspection at the indepent center cost $37.50 read more

From the initial contact with Joe the sales goof to the last contact this was a terrible experience..fiance was not approved after 3 business days here. All we got was we are working on it. So. We went to another dealership with the same documentation and guess what. 20 minutes later approved. I would NOT recommend Sisson Nissan at all. I bought a used Nissan Rogue from here about two years ago, it's been nothing but issues since day 1 and everyone from the grouchy receptionist to the rude people in parts have given me the run around on every single issue. I had an appointment there to look at a used vehicle the ladies name was Katie she called me at 8 and texted me come on over at 10 we were in touch for a week so I arrived at 10 asked for Katie the reception lady ask me 3 times for my name after 15 min this lady walks out and says Katie cant come out shes writing up the paper work some just bought the car I was like what! I drove 2 hours to buy a used truck from them. Along with a $399 doc fee. That's $1800 added to the advertised price of a used vehicle that I intended to pay cash for. The ad on their website said "sunroof". Vehicle didn't have a sunroof. After a bunch of back-and-forth negotiating, they never even came back down to the advertised price. I left. I got a "personal email from the General Sales Manager" with his desire to get personally involved. I reiterated my offer and never got a response back. Arrogant, misleading and sleazy operation. This kind of behavior is what gives car dealers a bad reputatiion, which in this case is well deserved. Wasted my time driving 2 hours each way to visit the dealership. read more
