A tech came over during the time window quoted for a free estimate. Chris greeted us with a smile with a pen and business cards. He took a look beneath my bathroom sink which had a broken P-trap so the drain assembly needed to be replaced. The whole replacement took less than 20 minutes and cost $250 cash. He was friendly overall and showed me all the parts he carried in his van. The only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is that being in the construction industry myself, $250 for replacing a Ptrap assembly isn't "1/2 Price"; in fact slightly more than what another Plumber quoted. read more

5 stars do not even feel like a worthy enough rating for Paul, Chris, and Yaw. I'd give them 100 stars if it was an option. This was hands down the absolute best experience I have ever had with contractors. Just really wonderful human beings. I had my entire plumbing replaced with them. On top of great prices, they were extremely clean and so very kind. I literally thought my dogs would leave me to go home with Yaw, they loved him so much. This was an extremely stressful time between moving and dealing with issues with other contractors, and Paul and his team stepped up and showed up in every way possible to help take some of the stress off me, and I am grateful beyond words. I had a leaking water heater. I called them and Chris came out the same day. My water heater was replaced the next day. Chris, my service technician, was very professional and always on time. I needed to have additional work done in my utility room and Chris came out to uninstall and later reinstall the water heater so the other trades could do their work. These guys live up to their high rating. I had a water heater go out in one of my investment properties just days before the hurricane was approaching. My regular plumber (great guy) wanted quite a bit more for the replacement then I was comfortable with. So I decided to call around. This company gave me the best quote out of all the reputable companies I contacted and got back to me very quickly. The rest of the process was just as smooth. They came on time, did the job quickly, efficiently and saved me quite a bit of money. They also found that some of the repairs my plumber thought I needed turned out to be unnecessary. I used this company on two previous occasions for emergency work and was satisfied with the results. However with the most recent experience I was highly disappointed with the quality of work and the response from the owner who claims to stand by his plumber's work and refused to offer a partial refund for work that was overpriced and of very poor quality and workmanship compared to the remedial work that had to be done for the work to pass inspection. While I understand that I didn't reach out to them before the remedial work was done, I didn't have time to do so as the contractor working needed to pass inspection and I also didn't know they'd cover the plumbing work. See the photos below of the work from this company compared to my contractor'remedial work which was valued at $538. The point I'm making here is that if you're paying $475 for repair work to have your kitchen water lines prepared for a new kitchen you expect quality work. I used to recommend them to all my clients, and I used them many times for my own home and my parents. Until one day Matt, one of the plumbers went to a property I manage, he left the tenants without kitchen faucet for more than a week, when I told him he couldn't leave the kitchen like that, he made jokes about the tenant wont mind not doing the dishes for a while. I called and called and Paul the owner ignored my calls. So now I'm filing a lawsuit against them They were paid in full and never came back. So now I have water still leaking from my ceiling where my ac is. The guy put a pipe to drain water into my tub and never came back with what he needed to finish. We were quoted a great price for installing a toilet I purchased online at Home Depot. Installation was completed within 1 hour (which was fantastic) and the installer was very kind and informative. Regarding the work itself, the old toilet was removed and carefully placed inside the new toilet's box to prevent a mess. The new toilet was installed and the flow was adjusted. Finally, the bottom of the toilet was grouted to the floor and everything was cleaned up. They even took the old toilet which saved me from dragging it out for bulk trash. Had them come out due to my upstairs bathroom tub was leaking into my kitchen downstairs. Also had a leak under the sink. They cut a hole in my kitchen, which i authorized. Just to tell me it was the tub! Which I already knew. Needed the problem fixed! Did not cap the faucet in the tub which was causing leak or attempt to fix the sink. Just gave me a $2800 verbal quote to replace the tub. A friend was able to stop the leaking by removing the faucet and sealing the pipe! A $1.50 part at home depo. I called the office to get a written quote to replace the tub. Left 2 messages which were never returned. Did speak to a woman in the office and requested a quote be emailed. Of course I never heard from them. All I got from this company was a big hole cut in my kitchen ceiling. Lesson learned!! read more

I had a "shortboy "water heater installed at my condo.I had to get a permit for the installation from the City of Plantation. Half Price Plumbing charged me $360.25 for this. Stated on the invoice "Processing Fees charged by 1/2 Price Plumbing associated to obtain a permit from the local city do repair work.PLUS CITY PERMIT FEES" I talked to a City of Plantation plumbing department official and he said a permit for work like this done for me is obtained and paid for ONLINE at Plantation's website! This company gouged me for $360.25 to get an online permit plus the cost of the permit which is $107.00. The high pressure blowout valve I needed to get I was charged $275.00 and I went to Home Depot with my model of water heater and asked for a U.L. Listed valve he had one for under $20.00 .Somebody at Half Price Plumbing needs to take a course in Business Ethics. I was also unable to work for sometime due to a medical condition at the time.Do not consider to use this company . I'll let the readers decide. read more
