The pet shop covers the first visit, so I figured I'd give it a shot and see what happens. I was a little worried because I didn't like the last vet I came across because she was always so rough with my poor cat, so I wasn't sure what to expect at WCC. I immediately knew upon the first person I encountered that I was going to enjoy the visit. Everyone here is SO NICE! Super friendly, extremely accommodating, and evidentially people who care about the animals. I was lucky enough to meet Dr. Spencer, who I completely adored from the moment I met him. He's funny, sweet, and super knowledgeable. He was so gentle with my little chihuahua and explained everything he was doing along the way. My little guy did not seem bothered AT ALL, which relieved me immensely. He and the staff gave me some excellent recommendations and tips that I truly appreciated (especially with being a first time dog mom). I live an hour and a half away, but coming here is worth the trip. I know I'm in good hands with the staff at WCC. The care I received was exemplary in all areas and other pet hospitals can learn a thing or two from this place!!

He was sympathetic to our situation and let my husband decide, but my husband he was there for him. He also told my husband that Max had a healthy and happy life. We agree! Max had multiple tumors. Tried surgery to see if he could be around a little bit longer. He was a good dog and there wasn't a person he didn't like. Lums Pond Animal Hospital is a new vet to us. We chose them because they are so close and we had a…read moresick cat. She does not do well in her carrier or the car. They got us in right away. Our cat ended up needing testing and we were given two options. We chose the more expensive hoping to get answers. The vet came back and said she didn't feel we needed to do the extra tests so she did the cheaper of the two options. Our cat ended up being diagnosed with diabetes. They have been amazing this whole time and giving us a lot of information. With every worry we had, they worked their hardest to help us in any way they could. They have gone out of their way to help make this situation as affordable for us as they can. The staff has been so nice and helpful from the beginning! We will be switching the vet we use for our pup to Lums Pond now as well. His vet was chosen due to an after hours emergency and who was able to get in him in right away. It is about a 20-30 min. drive for us. Having Lums Pond so close and the fact they have been extremely caring and helpful makes the decision to switch him over an easy one! It's too big and pricey. I had to take my dog in for an eye issue each week for three weeks and…read moresaw a different vet each time. I would feel more comfortable with one vet for my dog's one issue. Also, they had her on 5 different medications and tried too many procedures when they should have sent me to a specialist after the first week or two. $1k spent when I could have put most of it towards the ophthalmologist. I questioned the amount of medications a couple times as well as the price of a contact. I did not receive great explanations and as for questioning the price of the contact I was given attitude by the owner via email. A phone call would have been nice and much easier. Money does not grow on any of my trees unfortunately, so asking questions and understanding prices and medications is something I have to do. As long as I understand, it is much easier for me to move forward. I wish they would have set their pride aside and sent me to a specialist to begin with. The ophthalmologist is keeping my dog on only two of the medications and is charging me once for the initial visits and the visits to follow for this one issue. After this experience with Longwood vet center (and other experiences with Longwood) I am convinced the bottom line comes before my dog and I.
