A couple days out post surgery . Poor guy
    Kaitlin F.

STAY AWAY! this vet is a LIAR. We just had our dog at a different Veterinarian office not this vet (prospect park) to remove stitches from a surgery to remove a mass cell tumor stage 2!!!!! We brought our dog a few times to prospect park in regards to a bump on his belly they took a superficial scrape off of bump on his belly in office to see if it was bacteria but not at one point in time did they ever take a sample to send in to get tested for anything else such as cancer. We even suggested to get it removed the vet said no don't bother it .....!!!! he prescribed us some shampoo and cefpodoxime , now does that sound like a doctor that Supposedly said it could be a mass cell tumor I don't think so but that's what he tried saying he had said to us when we called today, I'm looking over bills I'm looking over documentation and that was never said once . so now he's saying oh well that's what I put down and now you're not gonna get covered for insurance because he's trying to cover himself and say he noted mast cell tumor when he never did we only found this out today when the bump was completely taken off of his stomach and sent in, results took two weeks . we are furious we spent a lot of money with this doctor overtime being that it was the general vet, on top of that lucky we found such a wonderful NEW Veterinarian (not prospect Park veterinary ), our new veterinarian also told us that he has grade two on his teeth ! Omg I am furious , you'll let our dogs die before you take care of them and then probably collect the money that it takes to keep them alive rather than take care of them and do preventative care. I am so disgusted by the care and the lies that this veterinarian has told us said that he told us that it was a mass cell tumor HAAAA yes because if that were the case I definitely would just leave it on my dog and let it go are you out of your mind what is wrong with you I am so disgusted I don't even wanna talk to you because I will scream in your face I honestly wanna sue you. you are the most irresponsible doctor of animals I've ever met! Delaware County area stay far away from this establishment ! you will never see us again ! My dog could've died because of you! Giving him clean bills of health because you lack the knowledge!

Got a rescue from ACCT, dog kept with an on and off cough. 10 minutes with vet $300, thought it would be cheaper outside city.

If you're looking for an expert with ALL the knowledge and experience necessary to properly care for your pet, Dr. Mapp at Delco Veterinary is your person. She's direct, no nonsense and is as good as it gets, but don't expect to be coddled. She saves all the coddling for your fur baby. Her support staff is helpful, kind and knowledgeable. My dog has had emergency surgery twice in her office with no complications. Yes, the office is small and a little tight, but my dog has never complained. Dr Mapp does X-rays, bloodwork, tests etc.. right in the office. I like the fact that she sits down with you and just lets you talk about why you came to her office. It's her way of really figuring out exactly what your pet needs, and what she needs to do to make your pet better. She and her assistants literally saved my dog's life, which I'm grateful for, because Cookie is my baby, and my grandson's big sis. My grandson's bigger now and just became a cat-dad! His new kitty is Ginger. Of course Dr. Mapp and the crew are taking excellent care of her. She's had a physical, her first two shots, and was just spayed at the office. Not that it matters, but the price is always right. They understood my grandson was very worried during the procedure, and even though she woke up late, they remembered to give us a call to assure him she was fine.

It smells like a dirty kennel throughout the office. The stench is very strong and this is while wearing a mask. I understand this is facility for animals but this is by far the worst smelling vet office I have ever been. They also should consider having typed and/or electronic receipts/ invoices. It is 2021 no one is using paper receipts and hand writing in totals etc. My first receipt was incorrect so there's scratch outs and white out on it. It's very hard to keep records this way as a pet owner. The pricing was affordable and the staff was nice but we won't be back. PS I also had to wait 40 minutes to be seen on the follow up visit because they were running behind.

RT had been going to another veterinary hospital for about 5 years and the only reason I decided to make a change was because they were catering to more and more dogs. The wait in the lobby was torturous for RT because dogs would sniff at him and his carrier and most of the dogs would be running around - which terrified RT because he is an indoor cat with no experience with dogs. About a month before our appointment I sent Just for Cats a note with an introduction about RT - his likes, dislikes, food, toys and a glimpse into his daily life. One of RT's favorite things is brown packing paper - he spends hours hiding toys in it, sleeping on it and playing with whatever toys he put under the paper. Guess he likes the sound that it makes. When RT and I arrived at his appointment he was greeted with hellos from the staff and wow - no dogs anywhere!!! In the examination room - Sandra pulled out RT's favorite thing - packing paper, she even had squeezable treats ready for him. She petted and talked to RT and when Dr. Tallant came in (great for us because she was his doctor at the other vet hospital and she knew RT) everyone was petting and talking to RT. I don't think he even realized he got his annual shot. This was the least stressful visit ever. He was not terrified - which was great because he didn't meow (yell) at me on our trip home. RT was calm when we got home and even started laying on the packing paper Sandra gave him. Dr. Lerner called me to follow up on the visit with information about RT's tests. She made me feel that we were truly cared for and that we are in good hands. I am so very thrilled that I discovered Just for Cats and would highly recommend them.

Dr. Mann and his team have always gone above and beyond for every single dog and cat we have brought to them in the 3 years of our rescue partnership (well over 100 animals). Whether it was a simple visit for vaccines or a middle of the night emergency, they have always been professional and polite. We can always trust Dr Mann to "give it to us straight" without sugar coating that animals condition. His staff has cried with us as we have made the hard decisions of letting a dog go to the rainbow bridge. They have taken their personal time to escort medical fosters to events and to just get them out of the office for awhile. They have celebrated healing and adoptions. Their staff has even adopted from our rescue. I wouldnt trust any other vet in the area with my personal pets. I am in this office multiple times a week and interact with all of the staff. Francesca's review is not based on truth in any way and we are embarrassed that her and her mother have gone out of their way to damage the reputation of such amazing people.

I am writing this review to share my experience with Springfield Veterinarian and Dental Clinic…read moreregarding the treatment of my dog's ear hematoma . When I first brought my dog to the clinic, the veterinarian agreed to treat the condition and recommended a course of treatment. Over the course of three visits, my dog underwent two procedures and one surgery. Unfortunately, instead of improving, my dog's condition continued to worsen after each visit. As a result of the unsuccessful treatment, I was forced to seek emergency care at another veterinary facility. The emergency veterinarian determined that additional intervention was necessary and performed a fourth procedure. In addition to the physical discomfort and prolonged suffering experienced by my dog, I incurred significant additional veterinary expenses that I would not have expected if the condition had been successfully treated from the outset. Based on my experience, I believe the care provided by Springfield Veterinarian and Dental Clinic fell below the standard I reasonably expected for the treatment of an ear hematoma. The repeated procedures did not resolve the problem, the condition worsened over time, and I ultimately had to seek emergency treatment elsewhere. Pet owners considering this clinic should ask detailed questions about treatment options, expected outcomes, and follow-up care before proceeding. Unfortunately, my experience resulted in additional costs, additional procedures, and prolonged suffering for my dog.
