I checked into Carino's a few nights ago and had such an amazing time thanks to the Stylishly Cool and Welcoming Hostess and my Favorite Mesero Model Marcelo! It was the night of a very important Mexico vs. Ecuador World Cup Knockout Game and most of the other Sports Bars in the Plazas were full. I was so grateful Carinos was showing the Game and offering so many fantastic Happy Hour Deals at the Bar! I ordered their $8 Spicy Hawaiian Pizza which was so good and their $7 Fried Calamari too. They have awesome short sized domestic Drafts for only $3 and a phenomenal $5 Strawberry Bellini I am absolutely in love with. Marcelo and the Hostess of the Evening made an incredibly fast and thoroughly efficient Professional Duo! The Bar was almost filled to Capacity but Marcelo managed all his Tables expertly with terrific smooth and courteous Communication. Marcelo's Captivating and Unique Sense of Style deeply Cultured Essence makes him the perfect Italian Stallion Runway Model for the Carinos Brand! I love hearing him suggest so many Signature Carinos Beverages, Entrees, and Desserts to successfully guide happy and satisfying experiences for all Guests and he works with the most responsible and sincerely caring respect to our Craft. So disappointed that Carino's has fallen. They have joined the vendors who use shrinkflation to save money. I've always said, "increase the price if you need to, but don't mess with the portion size or quality." In my opinion, Johnny Carino's had the best lasagna of any Italian restaurant. Better than any of their competitors. The lasagna was tall, easily four layers, a nice-sized generous slice, and delicious with big chunks of ground italian sausage. It was my go-to whenever I wanted Italian. Today, I met a friend there for lunch, who had never been to Carino's and I suggested the lasagna which is what I ordered. When it arrived, it looked so sad and deflated. I was truly disappointed. It was only two layers and barely taller than the sides of the plate. And the big chunks of ground Italian sausage, gone. Service was good, no complaints, but nothing outstanding either. I truly hate shrinkflation. read more

Johnny's for the win!! Lasagna, Spaghetti, Chicken Parmesan, Salmon and a garden salad with French bread. This was our feast for Mother's day, May 2026. The service was great, food was exactly as we expected and the price was right. Of all the dishes, the lasagna is outstanding, it has multiple layers with the good amount of ingredients within. I found the lasagna to be deeply satisfying; you can taste the fennel they use to season the ricotta and the finely minced Italian sausage that courses through the dish. * Ditto for the chicken parm, which was finger licking amazing! Thick, breaded, well griddled chicken filet blanketed with oozy, melted cheese. A revelation of Southern Italian flavors! Even the spaghetti, which is usually a give-to-my-Frenchies throwaway dish, was well above average. With real pieces of beef strewn in the flavorful ragu. * Portion size is GOOD. Where I can usually finish off an OG Tour of Italy at one seating, I definitely had Carino's for breakfast on SAT morning. Cons: * Carino's could learn a thing from their counterparts at the Olive Garden, who include a sizable Italian Salad and two of their famous bread sticks w/ their Tour. Carino's? They withhold the salad, instead try to hoodwink ya w/ an eupemistically-entitled "loaf" of bread that is more akin to two-thirds of a loaf. * Please, consider utilizing microwave-proof takeout containers! As my photo attests, I had to move my food to one of my own dishes because Carino's dispatched my order in an all-aluminum encased container...which would've set my microwave ablaze faster anything you've seen on "Chicago Fire!" Came here the other night for dinner with my family! Came in got seated right away which was nice however the service was absolutely horrible the lady took a good 10 mins to even come take our drink order. Once our drink order was taken she forgot my water which I never did get and we had to ask two other times for the iced teas. Then she said she was leaving and someone else will be with us shortly to take our order and take care of which that's fine I get that but that poor guy was scrambling all over trying to clean up her mess.! Finally got our bread and got our order taken. I ordered my daughter a cup of minestrone had to ask for a spoon and THEY BRING ME OUT A DIRTY SPOON! I mean how did she not see how dirty it was when she brought it out! Took a good few minutes before receiving a clean spoon for my daughter to eat her soup with! I ordered the spicy shrimp and chicken which was not good at all! The chicken was extremely dry in it and the pasta noodles were very hard and the sauce had a funk flavor so I didn't eat much of it at all so they took it off the bill which was nice ! My mom liked the chicken parm! My dad however did not care much for his chicken Marsala he said it was the sweetest chicken Marsala he's ever had and it didn't taste much like chicken Marsala at all! I had a pretty disappointing experience at Johnny Carino's recently. When we were first seated, there was water spilled all over the floor around our table, and even the bench seat was wet. Because of that, we could only sit on one side of the bench that was actually dry, which made things uncomfortable from the start. It really seemed like the table hadn't been checked or cleaned before we were seated. They did bring us water quickly, but after that the waiting game began. We waited close to 20 minutes, maybe longer, before anyone came back to ask what we wanted to order. Once we finally ordered, the food also took quite a while to come out. On top of that, we had to ask for our bread, which didn't arrive until almost the end of the meal. To be fair, our waitress was kind and did her best. She apologized and mentioned that they were very busy. I appreciated her effort, but the overall experience still felt very disorganized. This location definitely seems like it needs more staffing during busy times. It would also help if tables and seating areas were checked and cleaned before guests are seated. I know when people think of chain restaurant Italian food they usually think that it's not good. However, we tried this place for the first time and came on a Sunday, which had a special of all you can eat pasta and salad and honestly, it was pretty darn good. The wait staff was busy and working very hard, but we felt like we got good service and ate until we were going to explode. It honestly wasn't bad at all. We tried the spaghetti and the different shapes of pasta and alternated between meat sauce and marinara and even got some Alfredo sauce. For a small up charge of about four or five dollars we got the chicken Parmesan added on and it was actually pretty good. The manager stopped by we chitchat chatted for a while and he was a really great guy and we talked to music for a bit. Overall, it was a pretty good experience and we will come back. read more

Out of nowhere, a random bread bag showed up at our doorstep, and honestly, it felt too good to be true! The deal was you get a free meal with any entrée $6 or more. The catch? It can't be combined with happy hour and doesn't work at the bar. That was totally fine, but I was really looking forward to trying more during happy hour, small bites and all. Instead, I ended up just getting a full meal. My go-to Italian is spaghetti with red sauce and crispy calamari, and if a place does it right, I know I'll love it. The Italian nachos were interesting but not my favorite, just okay. Our server Desiree was super sweet, and the bread was good, though the oil didn't come with balsamic, just ask for it, they have it. The free entrée was alfredo with a petit filet and lasagna. The calamari were surprisingly really good, the spaghetti and meat sauce, mehhh - nothing to run back to. It's a cool spot with a nice vibe, great for date night or family dinners. My family and I recently dined at Johnny Carino's and had an excellent meal. Both the food and service were outstanding. I ordered the Italian Combination: an 8 oz ribeye, lasagna, and spaghetti with tomato sauce. I ordered my steak middle rare, it was cooked to perfectly, and the lasagna was delicious. I decided to take the wife out to a dinner date. she loves Johnny Carino's but the one by use closed. I found this one in Eastvale, and for a Saturday evening it was surprisingly empty. We were sat right away, and the waitress was nice, and friendly. We got our bread, and oil, and ordered our food and it came out rather quickly. The taste was absolutely enjoyable, as expected from Johnny Carino's. The manager came and talked to us, because he saw we weren't eating but we had just left the movies so we weren't that hungry. We assured him the food was delicious, that we ate too much popcorn. We will definitely be back. Not sure why there 1 star reviews. As our experience was absolutely amazing. I've called twice and no response back. I feel you only leave a comment saying you'll make it right with no intention to do so. We received a small bag in the mail with an offer for a free meal if you spend five dollars. We live down the street and have not visited this place for over 10 years so we thought for sure they must've made a big change and improved things so we went tonight as a family and what a disappointment. Interior it looks like nothing's changed in 10 years wasn't very impressed. furniture seemed old. The service itself was a challenge. You can tell they were understaffed and people were just trying to figure things out. The food looked good as you can see in the pictures, but honestly had no flavor to the point to where we didn't even finish our food. They missed a great opportunity by sending out all this marketing material to draw the crowd back in. I don't think this place will last until the end of 2026. I absolutely loved my experience here. The food came out fast and was so yummy! The whole place was super clean and had a really pretty, cutesy vibe. We got the mozzarella sticks which were the best I've ever had with a 10/10 cheese pull. Me and my friend weren't super hungry so I included pictures of how big the kids size pasta was, which was plenty and super tasty!! Our server, Courtney, was amazing!!! I went to Johnny Carino's for lunch with my uncle, and we had such a great experience! We usually go to Taco Bell, but since it was a special occasion, we decided to try somewhere different. The prices were honestly SO good, especially for how much food you get. The service was super fast--it took about the same amount of time as going to Taco Bell! The food was delicious and there was A LOT of it. My uncle got a giant burger for only $6, and I got chicken Parmesan with noodles and marinara sauce for $12. Somehow, our entire meal was even cheaper than what we usually spend at Taco Bell! Everything was great, the food was delicious, the portions were huge, the service was fast, and the prices were amazing. Definitely 5 stars and I'll absolutely be coming back again! read more

I want to start by saying that the food was great! My family came in for the all you can eat "Family Dinner". They changed the offer so that you are isolated to only one type of the three options when they originally offered any of the three type of entrees. At first the waitress was accommodating. We had a dietary restriction for one of our family so their diet was observed. Then, we had to ask repeatedly for cheese on pasta, more bread, drinks, and there were few customers. Then the end of the meal came and the check had an additional charge for sauce we asked not be put on the pasta and meat. We asked about it and the waiteess, Courtney D, told us we should be " greatful" that she observed that our family member had a dietary restriction. The manager came over and fixed the situation. We just ate here for the first time and absolutely loved it. We received a free pepperoni pizza for joining their text club which was large and delicious. We also ordered their Tuesday special which is a skillet chicken fettuccine Alfredo jazzed up with onions and bell peppers. They have a different special every day of the week including weekends. The staff including the manager Jose, our server Desiree and the host Krista were all very kind and helpful. They made us feel like VIP'S and we're definitely coming back soon. read more

Our first time trying Carino's. The staff were nice but they are busy! We did ended up with everything we ordered and our family had a great time. We loved the fried calamari and the Italian nachos for apps. Then there were also the bread and that dipping oil! Yum! For the main dishes, we got Johnny's favorite pizza and baked cheese tortellini. Everything was really good. Our waitress were friendly, and checked on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed: water, napkins, utensils, etc. Ambiance is very cozy and casual inside. Started off great, staff was pleasant. Served our beers right away. Went on a Thursday to try their 69 cent wing special. This is where the disappointment started! Wings are small, luke warm and ok on flavor; you are limited to 10 of each. Pizza was also ordered, it too was only Luke warm. Well the table we were seated at was not flat. Didn't think it a big deal until our pizza slide off the table, we had eaten only 3 pieces at this point. Pizza, pan and stand on the floor! I saw that both the waiter & bartender saw what happened. No help, or even an offer to help clean up. After I had cleaned up the mess, the waiter came up and asked if we wanted desert. Big pile of pizza on the pan and not a single word as to what happened. We got the family size Italian nachos (pita chips instead of tortilla chips) and the stuffed mushrooms. It was my father-in-laws's 88th birthday, so we were excited to take him out for a nice Italian dinner. This place has gone down-hill. I ordered the chicken marsala. When it arrived at the table, it smelled like maple syrup. And it tasted so bad, that for the first time in my life, I sent my entree back to the kitchen. The waitress was super nice but she was stretched very thin. It took her about 10 minutes to greet our table after we waited 25 minutes in a half empty restaurant for a table. WHERE'S THE BREAD? I'm confused I thought Johnny Carino's was supposed to provide garlic bread to each table? I had a party of 18 people and we had reservations, the restaurant was supposedly ready for us, they seated us and had our menus already at the tables. However, it took 25+ mins just to get our bread. They already have a dumb policy where you have to ask for bread or else you don't get it. We did ask... and we got one small piece of bread for each table. It was ridiculous, it wasn't a loaf, it was a small piece of bread. My friends' kids were very hungry and they forced them to stay that way until our entrees came out. We only got one round of bread and we were never offered anymore. My entree was fine, I got a plate of Fettuccine Alfredo and it was decent. The shrimp wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be and the sauce was a bit unexciting. The tiramisu was excellent, I loved the chocolate powder, and the dessert was moist. I like the aesthetic of the restaurant, it's dim and lively. The restaurant has plenty of seating for large groups, however I would NOT recommend it as locals and small parties are prioritized. The server guy was sweet but very overwhelmed. He didn't get sufficient back-up. Management does not support their staff here and have dumb bread policies. read more

My husband and I decided to have lunch today. Food was decent but the service was horrible !!! Ordered a pizza and unlimited salad. Our waiter never came back to ask if we wanted more salad. By the time he did come back we were done with our pizza. Asked for napkins which he never brought. Had to ask for a refill that took forever. Up until yesterday, I've had great experiences at the restaurant. This was a different story. I ordered what should've been a simple dish to make. Pasta, salmon, artichoke hearts, mixed vegetables and a white wine and lemon sauce. The fish was burnt, there were no artichokes to speak of, the sauce base had zero taste of lemon or white wine, or even olive oil oil for that matter, and the mixed vegetables were forgotten. It's appalling that you could screw up a dish that's on the menu this badly.. Next issue is, in this day and age, all restaurants should have Apple Pay. You don't, which is super annoying. Final issue is you still serve Diet Coke, which no one under 60 years old drinks, and the waitress even said that everyone ask for Coke zero, yet you still don't have it. Time to get with the times and make sure that your cooks actually know what they're doing. Secondly, the wait staff should be looking at the dishes as they come out to make sure that what we ordered is presented properly. read more
