I don't know what happened to this place, but it went from great, to decent, to now terrible. The pizza I received today was nothing like I originally tasted. I was basically served $46 Costco pizza that was cut in 1/4 impractical slices. The pizza is clearly under baked. It's floppy. And the crust is not New York style. It's not crispy even in the slightest. I cannot believe they charged me $46 for this pizza. In addition, I ordered online. Was charged, order never went through. It was explained to me that their website doesn't often work but I will be refunded in 3-5 days. I purchased another pizza only to be given this. It taste identical to Costco. It's a traditional pizza which was supposed to have sausage. I got some sausage, but I wouldn't call this a pepperoni and sausage pizza. What happened to you guys? This is just bad. And, sure, I love places that serve pizza by the slice. Breanne once said one of her favorite things is ordering pizza by the slice because you could always try a different one when you walked in each time. She reckoned it was like getting to ride a different horse every day. Slice House has some great slices too. That hot honey pie was super delicious and satisfying. It wasn't too sweet as some others warned me. It reminded me a lot of Beau Jo's in that way. And the Rosa Detroit-style was also good, but some the New York was better and memorable. Even the service was decent. They brought my other slice when they say me standing by the counter to wait for it with my one ready-to-go slice. They even offered to go over the menu to explain the daily specials. But I can't get over the fact it is eat outside on patio seating or else take it home. As most of you know, I really enjoy the dine-in experience. I do not enjoy competing with a handful of flies buzzing around my slices, the wind blowing all my napkins and paper plates around, and contending with folks not even eating at the restaurant walking next to my table. It just ruins the ambience for me. As such, I can't say I'd recommend this place despite the quality of the pizza here. It just isn't worth driving 25+ odd miles only to be told to take my food outside and just grin and bear insect mobbing and unruly guests. You could serve lobster rolls and grilled trout that were awesome and I still would resent you if you told me I had to eat it al fresco. It's like buying a sports car and being told to only drive it only on train tracks. The wrong environment to do an activity, no matter how much you enjoy doing it, is doing the experience wrong. I came across Slice House by Tony Gemignani through a Yelp IE event which I wasn't able to attend at the time. I heard great things about this place. I had to swing on by to give them a chance to impress me with their slice or pie. They are located at the Cloverdale Marketplace in Eastvale. Interior space is not that big. It could fit a small group of people at one time. No inside seating, but there is outside patio seating. No public restroom. Their slice choices were limited at the time, but I was still able to try one slice of Purple Potato and one slice of Hawaiian Hit Man. Slices were huge. Taste was amazing from sauce to crust to toppings. They definitely did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the Purple Potato. I would get that again. Staff was super nice and friendly. I really wanted to love this place. I tried it a couple of times so we could sample their different pizza styles. The sweet Gino's sauce was too sweet for me. I generally like a sweeter sauce if there's something to balance it out. For example, pepperoni on a shakeys pizza balances out the sweetness of the sauce. The crunch of the bread on it was my favorite part. Maybe if it were customized with salty toppings I'd like it better. We also tried the Detroit style pizza and the sauce was also too sweet for me. Was feeling like a quick bite to go and pizza was on my mind. There are several options nearby for pizza but I knew what to expect from those other places. This would be my 2nd time eating here and I wanted to try something that was more than the typical pizzeria. Slice House has many options for specialty pies and i took my MIL to try this as well. She'd never been here before so I wanted to see how she liked it. Needless to say that she enjoyed her slice. She ordered the Wiseguy slice and I had the Traditional slice. She liked the thin crust and the flavors went well together. The really cute girl behind the counter was super helpful to talk her thru in explaining what they offered and my MIL made her decision. Great service and easy to choose. Only thing if u like a sit down restaurant is only seating available is outdoor tables. The veggie pizza is really good here. My son says it's his favorite. Today for some reason was a little salty. Maybe the sweet Gino pizza threw off our palate. I tried a slice of the sweet Gino and that was really good too. The staff recommended it. Essentially the sauce is sweeter as indicated in the name. They toasted it in the oven and the crisp was perfect. We got the house craft salad and that was good too. This is a perfect place if you're craving pizza but don't want to buy a whole pizza. I came in yesterday because my daughter was craving pizza and instead of buying a whole pizza elsewhere we figured slice house would be the best option because they do slices. Two adults and two kids decided to have a quick lunch at Slice House of Eastvale. It's a tiny pizza store without any seats inside, and your best bet is outside seating and to go. The environment for outside seating is not great as it's summer and we are fighting flies and bees that are aiming at our food and drinks. There isn't much of service, they are short handed, but service is better than average. Vibe is okay. We ordered median 12" Cal Italia pizza which is uniquely sweet, cheesy, in New York style for $23. It's a bit too sweet, but the taste is good. Also Bucatini with meat sauce, basically it's marinara sauce with meatball for pizza some bacon bits, and thick pastas. Taste is better than average and I like how they use the ingredients. Overall it's more of 3.6 place, as price is kind of high, but I think it's worth a try to order xl size as they have 4 unique styles of Detroit, grandma, New York, Sicilian pizza types for all flavors. read more

Even while juggling phone calls, pickup orders, and to-go requests, he stayed attentive and made sure we felt welcomed and accommodated . Hands down one of the best pizza spots in the Inland Empire! I came here after seeing all the hype and it totally lived up to it. The crust is light, fluffy, and crispy in all the right ways -- you can tell everything is made fresh. They have so many different styles of pizza, and each slice has its own unique flavor. The staff were super friendly and gave great recommendations. The pesto pasta was another standout, and the cookies at the end were the perfect sweet finish. You can really taste the quality and experience behind each dish -- not surprising since the owner is a 13-time world pizza champion! I'm a fan! I've tried quite a few different styles and toppings. I'm a big fan of the cherry bomb, the wise guy and the Detroit Motörhead. I can always go for a combo slice too. Not sure if we came on an off day, but my husband and I recently stopped by this Eastvale location of Slice House and, wow, what a disappointment. Another location of Slice House was recommended to us by a friend, but we decided to come to the Eastvale one since it was more on route to our destination. We left so let down by the presentation, quality, and cook of the pizza as well as the overall ambiance of the seating. The service was decent upon ordering, which is why I'm giving it 2-stars, but honestly, we just felt so scammed with overpriced pizza. Slice House in Eastvale is located in a shopping center off of Limonite. There is plenty of free parking shared among the businesses for customers to utilize. The store itself is small. There are no tables in an inside space for customers to sit, but there are several outside. The tables outside were extremely dirty and had a ton of flies swarming around at the time of our visit. It was an extremely unpleasant environment, but due to the circumstances of wanting to make this side stop on our trip, we ended up eating outside on these tables. Another red flag we should have paid attention to was the pizza display. The glass display was extremely moist and fogged up. It was odd to us because none of the pizzas even looked that fresh to warrant that build up of moisture. We even waited a long time in line and it didn't clear up. By the time we got to the front to order, we could still barely see what the slices looked like. We tried several things since the Slice House was spoken so highly about from a friend: regular slices, a Detroit style slice, and a Sicilian style slice. The Detroit was probably the one that was the most edible from the order. The others were reheated in a conveyor belt toaster/reheater to the point that the cheese on all of them were cooked to a crisp. Overcooked, hard cheese and pizza with zero "cheese-pull" was extremely disappointing, especially for the price and hype. We frequent pizza spots a lot and, unfortunately, Slice House completely missed the mark for us. We would not return in the future and I cannot confidently say I would recommend this spot to others. I used to work in a pizza place for 5 years and let me tell you...this pepperoni pizza slice I had was AMAZING!!! Daisy gave me great service at the cash register! Upon entering, a couple workers greeted me with a shout as I opened the doors. This place is small and the seating is limited outdoors, however, just the taste of my huge pizza slice and the super crunch of each bite will keep me coming back for more!
