I come here pretty often during lunch. I order online about 90 percent of the time and my food is ready by the time I get in. My order is always correct and noce and hot. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The only thing that needs some work is that building. It definitely keeps up the California vibe with wall art of palm trees and surfers while the rest of the fast food restaurant is clean and has modern lighting and furniture. Outside there's an open courtyard with palm trees, tables, chairs, and umbrellas, and I saw people who bought takeout from other restaurants eating there as well, so it's all very casual and communal. Also modernized at Habit are the kiosks where you can place your order on a big touch screen and get a text when your order is ready. If you prefer, you can still place an order with an employee behind the counter. I was happy they had a veggie burger and tempura green beans for me, and my sister was happy with her teriyaki burger with french fries and onion rings. Hi, I have to confess, I hadn't been in a Habit for years when I decided to stop in for dinner. Upon entering, I was surprised to be greeted by multiple self service ordering machines. Although, I suppose it is ok, for the Costco food court, I prefer to have a person take my order. I decided to order the Double Char Combo for dinner. It was a little over $17.00 for a burger, fries and a drink!!! I guess they decided to not pass along the savings of me having to input the order details myself! Sigh When my food arrived, I was shocked by the portion size. For $17.00, I expected more!! The burger was tiny even compared to the small size of the fries! (Please see photo of my order). The burger was ok. A bit tasteless and definitely lacking seasoning. The fries were decent. The drink selection was the best part of the experience. The restaurant was clean and busy. Today, i ordered on their app and they had a special promotion for a char chicken club sandwich. I placed this item in my "cart." A popup bar-code appeared, I took a screenshot. For some reason, I could not "check out." I removed the chicken club and the order was processed. The online ordering is usually a breeze. Yoi will receive a confirmation that your order was received with an estimated time it will be ready. I felt my order was complete since I had the bar code. Upon arrival for pickup, the chicken sandwich was not included. The cashier said there was nothing she could do since it was not in the "cart." I didn't want to hold up my family's order, so I quickly added a chicken salad, which was very good and filling. Lo and behold, when the app asked me to confirm my ordered was received, there was a "Feedback" area at the end. I mentioned the snafu and never expected any one would read it or respond. Trash customer Worst customer service I've ever had at Habit Burger. I paid for a burger with cheese, got home, and found it missing. I drove back with my receipt to prove I paid, and the employee still told me, "oh, you didn't pay for it." After I showed proof, all I got was "that's weird." They only replaced the burger and refused to give me the fries or anything else, saying "you only get what you brought." Really? I ordered via the mobile app. When I received my order I checked the bag and noticed my veggie burger had tomato on it (I asked for no tomato) and also a very small amount of avocado (not even half of the usual amount I normally receive when I order at any of the stores). So I walked back inside and informed one of the employees and he told the manager Katherine. I showed Katherine the mistake. She took my burger over to the cook. He asked her if I wanted the avocado on the side. I looked in disbelief because in addition to them basically cross contaminating the area they were not initially willing to remake my order. I asked Katherine if she could remake it and she very rudely replied "it's just tomato ma'am, we are too busy to remake it" I asked for a refund and she replied "you have to call for that, we can remake it but it'll take 10-15min". It's been a couple years since I visited a Habit. I miss the quality they had when they started out. Things have changed!! I got the Albacore with sweet potato fries. The fillet is thin but tastes decent. I miss the thicker medium cooked fillet they use to have. The sweet Potato fries were a disgrace! Overcooked and soggy. Just awful. My hubby had the charburger with cheese and fries. He said the burger was just okay but he wouldn't seek it out. They also use to ask what kind of cook you want on it but they don't anymore. The regular fries were also awful. Soggy and under seasoned. The frozen fries I air fry are better. Guess they saved us some calories in not eating fries!! They also forgot the grilled onions on both sandwiches. Disappointing :( The staff was friendly and the place was clean but the parking is the worst. I checked in a few nights ago to recover at the Habit after work and had a blissfully satisfying time thanks to the collective Professional Focus and Dedication of the whole Team! Ben was my Order Taker and He had such positive and enthusiastically focused Professional Poise. I love how Ben welcomed me back to the Habit with a genuine and inviting smile, and hustled with a patiently present energy that made me feel comfortable asking questions about the fun $5 specials that were so tantalizing. Ben was able to answer all the questions that I had about the Menu and I decided to try to their Ahi Tuna Sandwich since I am trying to eat healthier this year by incorporating more Seafood into my Diet :0) Ben was clear with me about my options to order my Meal a la Carte or in a Combo, and helped me add Avocado to jazz the Sandwich up to the next level as well as a side of crispy Tempura Green Beans. While ringing me up Ben shared insightfully inspiring New Years Resolutions with me on his detailed and sensible strategy on how to take better care of his health through intentionally mindful fueling and training his body to be more defined through higher intensity workouts. I went to this location because I really like the habit and usually it is a great experience. The food is decent but the upkeep of cleanliness and attention to detail is bad. I nearly threw up going into the restroom where they left puke on the floor instead of immediately cleaning it up. The entire bathroom smelled and they just put a sign over it.
