Service is always amazing! It's my favorite restaurant! I love their food- especially the chicken bruschetta!

Listen, I have been coming here for years with the parents - its small town Italian, and I live literally 3 miles from the North end so the first time they took me here I was like NO, NOT GONNA HAPPEN... But I was pleasantly surprised... The place is tiny, and they pack you in, but in all the years coming - I have never had to wait - even 5pm on a Saturday, we walk in & always are seated right away. I have tried MANY things off the menu, drinks are good, Service is great, I usually change around 100 things (I like veggies and dont often like chicken - so I swap alot - and Im always willing to pay for it) but they never make me feel high maintenance when I ask to change! The bread yet simple is the best bread ever!!! The options are plenty, the portions are even bigger. The specials are usually something I fall in love with and then they never have again, just my luck! Everything is always fresh, and super tasty! Now Im drooling just writing this! Try the Florentine - you wont be sorry and the stuffed Mushroom is just one and a different spin, but DELISH!!! read more

Used them to do the gathering after my mom's funeral, The food was absolutely disgusting all pasta dishes were over cooked the Mac and cheese wasn't even cheesy and the chicken broccoli ziti was dry and the chicken Parm tasted like they used tomato paste with no seasoning whatsoever the meatballs were nasty.... They should be ashamed of what they delivered..... and Way over priced... I would have rated 0 but that's not an option.save your money and go somewhere else..... Absolutely disgusting... read more

Serviceable, but some dishes may be starchy, common New England fare as well as pasta dishes; they do have great healthy options like their salads. The side dishes are great too. I had the pressed chicken; while seemingly fresh, I thought it could have used less salt - but chicken dishes like that all seem salty no matter the venue. I'm Sensitive to salt. Really nice service. Terrible parking situation (angles, access, road, and railroad tracks). Very fair prices. A large, and clean, comfortable dining room. read more

The Restaurant: Surprisingly good restaurant in what feels like the middle of nowhere. The restaurant itself feels more like a little house than a restaurant. The decor is kind of average but in a nice way. It feels very casual. I went in a party of 3 and we got seated immediately. The restaurant was clean. The Food: The complimentary bread was nice but just bread. My party got fried mozzarella sticks ($11) to share which were delicious. For a drink I ordered a Shanky's Whipped Caramel ($9) which was yummy but pretty small. For my entree I ordered pasta carbonara with broccoli instead of mushrooms and chicken added ($28). The pasta was fantastic and was a very large portion size that I couldn't finish and had to take home. I got to try the chicken broccoli alfredo pasta my friend ordered and his was even better than mine. Overall the food here is good and I can see myself coming back. read more

After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. It was our last meal for our quick getaway. When we got to the parking lot, it was surprisingly packed. Usually wherever we go, it'd be almost empty because we usually eat early. So, it was a nice surprise. We were immediately seated after checking in. We were immediately seated after arriving.The restaurant looks very much like a dollhouse, with semi-low ceilings, a dimly-lit atmosphere, a small dining area with tables seating 2-4 patrons, and a couple of hidden dining rooms with extra tables. The main dining room has three connected windows that peer into the next dining room, which appears to have a bar with a TV playing above it. Daughter ordered J Mac's Chop Suey, which is elbow macaroni, marinara sauce, ground beef, garlic, peppers, onions and Romano cheese. We both liked this a lot. New England is the only place that we can get this and it's such a simple dish. Every time we see chop suey on the menu, we'd get it and this time was no different. Hubs ordered Seafood Fra Diavolo combo, which has calamari, shrimp and scallops served over angel hair in Fra Diavolo sauce. He liked it a lot and said that they didn't overcook the seafood, which was important. The entree was perfectly spicy. He liked it a lot and brought his leftovers home and finished it. Lastly, I decided to get a couple of appetizers instead of an entree. I got Double Quahogs, which is stuffed with lemon and drawn butter. I haven't had this for a long time and wanted to get it. This was pretty good. Daughter loved it because she's never had it before. I also ordered a large Caesar salad as well. It's romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, Parmesan and Romano cheese and tossed with creamy Caesar dressing. We all loved the salad. The croutons were definitely homemade and it was really soft like bread. I've never had croutons this soft before. Service was quick and friendly. I often dine at the Plymouth St., East Bridgewater location, and I have to say--last night's dinner was one of the best I've had. The presentation was beautiful, the pan-seared scallops were cooked perfectly, and the Parmesan risotto was outstanding. Truly an excellent meal. read more

The only complaint i had was my shrimp tasted a little funky kind of rubbery but, that was just a small portion of my dish so it didn't matter!!! Appetizer was amazing!!!! Boy has Johnny Macaroni's gone down the tube! Went there with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday, started with the Italian wedding soup, which was the worst Italian soup I've ever been served. Bread butter and oil was brought to our table. The bread was ice cold, I believe the butter just came out of the freezer because it was rock hard and the dipping oil tasted very old. We both got the lasagna recommended by the waitress who is also the worst waitress I've ever experienced! When our lasagna came out mine was ice cold in the middle, and my girlfriends was lukewarm at best! During our meal, our waitress decided to clean the table next to us, she was spraying some cleaning solution that had a very, very strong noxious odor like some cleaning solutions have, and that was all we could smell/taste! No waitress should ever use a chemical cleaning spray next to a table where patrons are eating their dinner! If I were to rate this restaurant 1 to 10, I would give it a -10 because it has definitely gone down the tubes! Won't be back anytime soon! read more

This place is clearly a local yokal establishment. Food was just ok. I'm from the Northshore of Boston where Italian food is prevalent and of decent quality. In the 4 yrs I have been in the Easton/Bridgewater area, I have yet to find a good Italian restaurant or pizza establishment. Grrrr Might have to move back north just for good food!! read more

All of the dishes are prepared well. However beware of how much garlic they use! It literally makes the food taste bitter.

A friend of mine was coming over from Bridgewater and said he'd pick up a couple of meals to go. We selected a Large Veal Saltimbocca and a Large Chicken Marsala. Also got 2 extra meatballs and a Canoli. Meal 65 bucks. Ok not too bad but it just wasn't quite that great. I thought it to be more middle of the road actually, certainly a good meal and at 830 when starving I was satisfied, but my pal just picked at his chicken. Portions were very good, so I have a lot of leftovers all for me! It came with 2 pieces of bread I would have liked a little cup of olive oil and a couple pads of butter included but of course I have that here at home and we didn't ask. (Love to dip.) Meatballs were a bit dry. Canoli was fine. In summation I wouldn't hesitate to dine there or order again. Same with the other Johnny Macs in the area. Of course, it isn't like the finer places in the North End or Federal Hill but hey it's a heck of a lot closer and it' s decent enough. Maybe 4 stars is rich but I like to round up rather than down. Love this place!!! My girlfriend and I recently moved to Plainville, Ma so haven't ordered here as much as usual. Food is always 10/10! The service is always great even though they are always busy. I wish I found this place years ago. We've driven by a handful of times and said "wonder if it's good".. and then forgot about it. Trust me. We will not forget again. Really unassuming exterior. Note the entrance is in the back of the building not the front- took us a little bit to figure that out. Park in the back it's easier then parking in the front. Really cute interior- not a lot of seating. We got there right after the opened and had no wait for a table. Within an hour it got pretty busy. Nice bar area to sit at. Very clean. The food. Amazing. Super huge portions and the quality is outstanding. Prices are really reasonable. Lunch sandwich with fries or soup only $12? Entrees are available in small or large. Large is more than enough for two people. Waitress said it's double the size of a small!!! First time we've been to an Italian place around here that rivals some of our favorites on federal hill. read more

My wife and I enjoyed a simply wonderful meal here with an appetizer of luscious fried calamari, followed by lobster ravioli. The martinis were perfect. In traditional Italian restaurant style, JM requires advance reservations, which is so much nicer than waiting in line for a seat, and we were given a very intimate dining room aside from the more noisy main dining room. Service was prompt and congenial, and our waitress was very attentive. One note: the calamari apetizer is more than generous for four, and a complete meal for two! read more

This review is coming after my second visit to the West Street location in two years. What a great restaurant, with great food. I have come here with seven friends in apple picking season; this is our spot to have a wonderful lunch. Nothing fancy, just amazing great food and wonderful service. My friends and I always order different thing and they are all great - and we take home half the meal because they are so generous. I went here for the first time today, although I've had their catering before. We ordered cheesy garlic bread to start which was so good. I ordered the veal parmigiana with angel hair and loved it. I appreciate that they let you choose small or large and even the small was a great portion. My kids got pasta and meatballs, husband got the sausage, peppers and onion sandwich and everyone enjoyed their meals. I went there 2 weeks ago after reading so many good reviews and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the Italian combo and the meat was extremely dry and had no taste just like the tomato sauce. Also the flies kept pestering us. I wouldn't have paid $10.00 for this $26.00 dish. Just goes to show once more that you can't even go by good reviews at times. Makes me wonder if anyone that gave this 4 stars ever had descent, not even good Italian food before. Everyone also mentions the size of the meals. When I go out for dinner, I expect to eat good food that was worth going out for in the first place not the size of the meal. If the food tastes like crap and you get a lot, you're just getting a lot of crap. What a disappointment! read more

We had to wait 30 mins for a table. waitress was not very friendly. we had to wait an hour for our food and the waitress ran by us saying food should be our shortly. 2nd time she ran by us and said something about our food being list or something like that. then we told her that the vent was leaking and my hair was soaking wet. she gave us the bill and took off saying it was the air conditioner leaking. we were going to not leave a tip but We felt like she get something. the waitress chased us out in the parking wanted to know was there something wrong the service. we advise her yes it was and she said it was not her fault which is correct but she had an I don't care attitude. she gave my husband another drink and took the old straw out of previous drink and put in the refill. read more

Unfriendly, handed 6&7 yr old empty containers to package there hot food to take home .Never asked or came by to ask if food was ok,or needed more water Had to reach out to her for extra napkins.
