We have been to Johnny Macaronis a few times. The atmosphere reminds me of a restaurant our family we to a lot in the 1980s with my Grandmother. That classic homey feel. This location is smaller than the one on West st. Service was quick and friendly. The food portions are HUGE and tasty! We left only eating a quarter of what they brought us. We got the veal parm and gnocchi Pomodoro. I took off one star as while we were sitting there we made the mistake of looking up - and saw how disgusting the vents were - quite a turnoff as your eating and it makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the place! read more

This has a rustic "home" feel. The tables were slanted.... I'm assuming the floors are so old they aren't able to keep them level. Our waitress, Sarah, was a doll. Great service. We were immediately seated and offered bread and drinks. She was very attentive. We ordered the chicken parm (huge portion) it was very good. They pounded the chicken out, crispy, the sauce was seasoned well. The other dish we got was the "Chicken Marsala" I would not recommend this. Although the pancetta was a nice touch, and I love the bow tie pasta... the chicken and "Marsala sauce" worst I ever had. It was boiled chicken in chicken broth. I couldn't taste a hint of Marsala wine. The texture of the chicken was inedible. They did not execute this dish well at all. They should call it something else. Watery, broth it was not a wine sauce. I would go there again, but order something else. read more

Went to the Plymouth St. last night for dinner with my family around 6:40pm and were looking for outdoor seating when which when we pulled up had plenty of. They said it was a 15-20 minute wait. For what? I counted over 5 tables available outside. This is not the first time this has happened when trying to get outdoor seating. Thats the last time I will give this place a chance. Absolutely shocked they have such a great rating but they are always packed. I think it's because of the location and lack of other restaurants in the area. We've tried it multiple times just due to this but it's just such awful quality food. Everything tastes frozen, even the chicken in most of the dishes. It's basically an Olive Garden. read more

Food was very good as usual, and the service was also good. !! However, we arrived for an early (what we hoped would be a nice quiet dinner),, and as always the noise level was high especially by the young staff who we loud and apparently had nothing to do!! It spoiled our meal !! So sad , no one seemed to care !! read more

We loved Johnny Macaroni's when we lived in Bridgewater years ago and couldn't wait to visit again when we were back in the area. Wonderful, warm, inviting atmosphere-perfect for a family dinner or date night. Really good Italian comfort cuisine with a full bar and decent wine list. Service is always the best here. The whole family loved the food. The portions were a good size and made this place a very good value. It's has a lot of Italian inspired food, but a little of everything. I had a seasonal blueberry maple glaze steak tip dish that I enjoyed very much with a glass of Johnnys Sangria which was fantastic. My wife had spaghetti and meatballs with a Sam Adams in a bottle (they don't have any beers on draft) she loved the food and atmosphere which is family friendly and warm. My daughter had chicken fingers and fries which I also tasted and they came out great. The waitress who took care of us was very nice and attentive. I went this evening with 30 of my friends from my bike riding group. They were able to accommodate the all inside as outside was full the service was excellent I am sorry I did not get the name of the servers but there was two girls for all 30 of us and they were very efficient kept the water and juices and sodas refilled came over and checked many times what we wanted to portions were really big. Most items on menu came in 2 sizes. I got the large size homemade bruschetta and a meatball sub. Appreciate it was amazing it had large chunks of fresh tomatoes garlic and cheese and it was perfectly cooked. I then got the homemade meatball sub the sandwich was only about 10 inches long and it had 6 to 8 meatballs in it. You had a choice of many sides I chose to have a side of angel hair pasta however the side size was big enough for me to of had that for a meal with nothing else. Look forward to going back and getting something different to share with my honey.I have also posted the many pictures of the people that had the food at the table that I sat at. This is the best Johnny Macaroni's. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant is clean. This is only my second time at this location but I much prefer it over its other location (even though I have to drive further to get there.) We had Erin for our server and she was excellent. She was super pleasant and very attentive without being overbearing. The food was very good. I had a small chicken parm (no pasta so it was substituted with French fries) was big. Came here with some friends (party of 5) on a Friday night. The decor is pleasant and the restaurant is broken up into multiple rooms and has a bar. I ordered the Chicken Scampi special for 19.99 and it was fantastic. Like others have said, the portions are huge. I got an enormous plate of pasta, chicken and veggies. The quality of the dish was really good. Sometimes scampi can be served too oily or drowning in butter but this was actually perfect. The dish was packed with vegetables and you could taste the butter, oil and wine but none of it was overwhelming. It tasted "lite" but the sauce was quite satisfying with a rich flavor that was not too oily. We capped off dinner with a refreshing limoncello cake slice. With such a huge portion of pasta, there was enough left over for my dinner the next day. Remarkably, even after re-heating, the vegetables were still crisp and tasty. Parking was easy and the waitress was attentive and came back often to check in on us and refill drinks, bread, see how we were doing, etc. Would definitely go back. read more

Always busy and food is consistently good. Order early on weekends if you take out as it will be around 39-45 minutes.

This place is absolutely amazing. Went for lunch I got the festival of Italy. Lasagna with chicken parmigiana and a sausage. This was the best meal I have had in a long time. Never in my 60 years have I had left overs from a restaurant. I have enough left for another meal. Great portions with excellent quality. And the service was awesome. Definitely a do over. Johnny Macaroni's is a good pseudo Italian restaurant. They have the Italian standards as well as other dishes. It's definitely a place for locals for a good night out. It's a little pricey for the food quality, service, location, and decor. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, but if you're close, it's worth a shot. read more
