I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience here. I bought a bougainvillea plant about 6 weeks ago, and it's now completely dead--destroyed by a severe infestation of worms. This was the only plant on my balcony, so there's absolutely no way the infestation came from anywhere else but the store. To make matters worse, a friend of mine bought a similar trellis bougainvillea from this same place the same week, and guess what? Hers had worms too. This clearly points to a problem with the plants they're selling. Even more upsetting, my cat ended up getting sick after coming into contact with the worms--leading to a $400 vet bill. I brought the dead plant back in hopes they would at least take some responsibility, offer a refund, an exchange, or help nurse the plant back to health. Instead, all they did was offer a systemic treatment, and made no guarantees or effort to ensure the plant was actually healthy. This was such a disappointing and costly experience--both financially and emotionally. I won't be shopping here again, and I highly recommend others think twice before purchasing plants from here without carefully checking for pests. read more

Omg such fun finds and the nursery is beautifully spaced and organized so that you can really see each plant and see how well they care for them. From your first steps into the parking lot right into the store, Johnny Mangos evokes the type of places you find in the Keys. There is every kind of plant imaginable including my favorite fruit trees, butterfly plants, orchids, and bromeliads along with colorful pottery and home decor. They also offer flower and orchid arrangements. There was a new surprise and something to make me smile around every corner like their koi pond and waterfall. I am in love with all of the gorgeous Mexican pottery including one very cute chihuahua and I really want one of their bobbing flamingo garden stakes. I brought my 7 year old narrow leaf ficus in today for a repot (ironically, his name is tree). I wish I got her name because she was so genuine, attentive, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job as you can see in my picture and video. Even the lizards agree. If you're the type of person who goes to Lowe's and Home Depot for plants-Johnny Mangos will CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!!!! This place is like the garden of eden. It is filled with lush plants and unique decor that takes gardening to the next level. You can tell that the plants are extremely well cared for because not only are they blooming and healthy looking, but there were also several gardeners walking around caring for the plants. I was also impressed with their selection of bonsai trees and orchids. They have unique orchid plants that are naturally purple and blue- unlike the typical ones that are just white orchids that have been dyed. They also had a huge variety of bonsai trees from massive ones to small started trees. On top of the most killer plant selection I've seen around palm beach county, they also have decor! They have hand crafted pots and decorative ceramics that are absolutely STUNNING! This place is like an amusement park because they also have paintings. i was sold a plant by one of their salesmen, which i am told he is a high school child without knowledge of plants. he told me to water the plant when i got home, which i did. i just called & i asked why is the plant dying after one week old & was told they will not do anything as it is final sale and they are not responsible for their employees. if i bring it back they will give me a discount of a new plant. i will never go back to johnny mangos and advise others not to go there as they are not reputable. i give them a terrible review. if u buy a plant in home depot and u keep the receipt they guarantee their plants for one year. please don't use johnny mangos garden center. they are awful read more

This place is pretty bananas when it comes to their variety of plants, trees, outdoor decor and many other things. From the street it is pretty easy to drive right past if you are not looking for it. There is parking inside their gates and convenient rolling carts to do the shopping. They sell roses by the bouquet, they also have orchid plants that they will pot as a gift. The variety is immense. I saw everything from ornate cactus plants to full sized potted fruit trees. I went looking for a small lime tree to keep in a pot and found a small variety. The prices were clearly marked and all plants are pretty well labeled with the prices. I thought the prices were reasonable as the quality looked better than the big box stores. My lime tree already has blossoms and about 15 baby limes growing. As I wandered around, I was impressed by all the artistic ceramic pottery. All kinds of colorful pieces. There are also some beautiful fountains and one fountain has large swimming carp goldfish to look at. The employees were very busy caring for and watering the greenery but pleasant enough at the checkout. The property was pretty expansive. Large outside and partial inside area which had some kitschy artwork and some seashells for sale as well. I can't wait to see how well my lime tree grows and start picking some fruit. read more

Johnny Mangos is unlike most garden centers or nurseries. When and if you get the chance to visit them; I highly recommend doing so. They have the freshest Rose's around. They store them in air conditioned coolers. Might be refrigerators? Not sure but you get the point. Put it this way, they last 2 weeks and might go longer. Their orchids are so beautiful and the entire garden center is incredible. Their prices are quite reasonable and very fair in comparison to other local companies/competitors. I'm a huge fan. Great quality. Excellent selection. Wonderful costumer service. Best prices in town. Plus, it feels great to support local businesses that go above and beyond in quality + friendly service. Bought a $30 Giant Milkweed. Realized a few days later I don't need it after all/don't have the space for it. They refused a refund after only 4 days. Very beautiful place, lots of variety of trees and pots available. They do not have any pots under 200 for 32" like nursery pots forget about it. The pots are very beautiful clay made with holes at the bottom, but be ready to pay $300-1400 depending on the size you need. The one I want is $600. Very beautiful otherwise. Amazing to walk through. It's an experience. They allow dogs and so we saw a pooch. I wish I brought my Pom. It was a long drive from BOCA but be ready to pay Miami prices. Bathroom was very dirty and had pee all over the floor, but otherwise the place is very nice read more

I have been there several times and each time I have had a perfectly knowledgable young employee. the reason I am emphasizing young is because they usually don't know as much as the seasoned employees. but today I had Kaylee (sp?) and she was so sweet and helpful. Knew every answer to my questions. I am from Toms River NJ and am now living in Delray and not really sure of what the plant care instructions are down here. What a huge place. Such a great deal for roses! Yes, they double the price of roses during the week of Valentine's Day but it's still cheaper than your horrible dot com company! Glad I found this place, and they're such a convenient location from my house so I can surprise my fiance constantly with fresh flowers! Parking is scarce, but street parking is an option. Staff is not familiar with exotics. I had called and asked for a Chinese perfume tree, they had no idea what I was talking about. Had an employee pick out two fiesta hibiscus plants for me(one had flower one did not). After planting them that afternoon, the next day I realized I had received one fiesta and one plain red hibiscus. Unfortunate realization given I had already planted it as I figured the employee knew what they were doing. Took it back for an even exchange + half bag of soil for free. I ordered (3) three separate arrangements (roses) on Saturday for delivery on Valentine's Day and in less than 24 hrs, the long step roses wilted and the white flowers they added to fill out the vase died. The vase was was delivered with water to the top but they started wilting within 24 hours. Plus they delivered them with the $150 price tag on them. When I called them to let them know about the situation, they said "we don't give refunds or redeliver new flowers". That's an awful response and terrible service... especially after spending $400+ on dead flowers. Buyer beware! read more

I'm was a regular customer; however, after arriving to purchase a specimen palm tree I was treated so rudely. Many of the tree's are not labeled with names and/or prices. I asked one employee who gave me one price but I could not find him at the cashiers counter. Another employee then gave me a different price. The owner was standing there and could not even tell me the name of the SPECIMEN Palm I wished to buy. Shouldn't he know the name?!? He then said he would not sell "the tree" for any less than $500 dollars and walked away. The price didn't bother my so much, it was the fact that I was given three different prices along with a bad attitude from the owner. I had such an incredible experience when I stopped in today for the first time! Their selection is MASSIVE - pretty much any plant/flower/succulent you could want, they have. They also have unique and adorable garden decorations and a huge variety of pots to hold the plants! I purchased an adorable panda pot with some flowers and a sleek, modern black matte pot with a beautiful fern (a staff member helped me pick the best fern for the pot I wanted which was so helpful as I am definitely new to gardening and plant care still hahaha) Each staff member I had the pleasure of meeting was so friendly and helpful, you could tell that every person there loves coming to work every morning!
