The food is good. The service is good a tad on the expenses side the Johnny pancakes there in Belvedere though has a really nice little outside garden area to eat for a family of four or five he could get a little pricey, but a good solid breakfast. read more

Probably the best breakfast spot in Rockford along with the E State St location. While we've eaten here a few times, this time everyone had the Swedes. 3 ordered the Swedish Connection while I ordered 3 Swedes. The Connections came with 2 eggs, 2 sausages and 2 strips of bacon. All the Swedes came with butter and maple syrup. All the pancakes were great but I should have asked for mine a little more dark. The sides were fine too. Our server was right there for coffee refills. We highly recommend it. read more

We decided to drive north for breakfast and found Johnnys on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed in being seated, the cleanliness of the tables, the very prompt service, and the courtesy of the staff. The place was crowded on Saturday morning which would be expected, however the service was very fast, the food came even faster, and we were in an out in 30 minutes. The menu was huge, the portions were huge, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I can say I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend the biscuits and gravy! read more

I wasn't able to leave a longer review because of Facebook word limit, so I figured I'd come here to leave a full review. Tuesday I called about the cream of spinach soup (daily soup special). I never ever see it in restaurants, so I was SUPER EXCITED! The girl who answered the phone when I called was very sweet and let me know they offer it at Rockford location and this one. Perfect! I live right in town here. I headed over and promptly ordered two bowls to go, and while I stood waiting, everyone was super nice and knew I was the girl who called about the soup. Sometimes places have soups and they're underflavored or just a bit too starchy. One bite of this soup, and I was in heaven. I normally add salt and pepper to my soup, but I didn't have to add ANYTHING to this. My only regret is I only ordered two bowls. I wish I got more. I now know my Tuesday night dinner choice. They also have many options for every diet (I don't eat meat), so I'm excited to try more from here! Great job on the soup, super friendly staff and a really cute cozy setup and restaurant interior! I also brought up that Waze (which is user interfaced) had their hours listed wrong, so I changed them. I'm pretty familiar with this location. It's attached to Kegel Harley-Davidson... Which is my local Harley dealership. Honestly I don't eat there often, but I do occasionally when I'm hungry and I need to go to the dealership. Which was the case a couple of weeks before Christmas. We were there on a Saturday Morning before the locals really took over. It's not a large restaurant. This location over the years has hosted multiple different restaurants. Thus the layout is different. There is a touch of 50's roadside diner, a dash of Family Restaurant, with sprinkles of Motorcycle Culture. There's a lot of pictures of various customers of the dealership and their motorcycles. Also at the counter some of the stools have motorcycle seats that you sit on. For those of you that are worried about a "biker" culture, let me say normally most of the people in there are local middle class people that wouldn't know the difference between the throttle and brake cable. I'm not gatekeeping, only wanting to assure you that you're more likely to run into a Karen than a Biker. We didn't have a wait. There were a couple of tables open, but they had a full house. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We were given time to peruse the menu without pressure. I decided on the Country Fried Steak and eggs, my girlfriend had the two eggs, sausage, and hash browns. The reason I don't eat here very often is that the food is okay. The gravy for the steak and eggs tasted like it was just flour and water. I know there was sausage in it, but all I could taste was the flour. The country friend steak also didn't have much flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I had ordered my hash browns extra crispy, and they were. My girlfriend said her breakfast was cooked perfect, but it wasn't impressive. With what she ordered it would be difficult to make it taste bad. We came to the conclusion that they season their food for the Midwest Elderly crowd... IE bland so as to not upset their stomachs. The service and the staff working were nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept. I really have no complaints. The prices were fair for what you got, because they did have good sized portions. But to be honest, the only reason I would eat here is because I'm hungry and I happen to be at the dealership. An indicator I maybe should have taken better note of was the onion rings looked and tasted of very old deep fryer oil. We did not eat them. Pamcakes is a great place if you like the little diner atmosphere. You can eat at the counter or booths. The waitresses and hostesses are always nice. You might have to wait to get a table, but there are chairs if you dont want to stand or shop in Kegels Harley Store. With the name of Pamcakes (spelling is correct), you should try the pancakes. You do get big servings, and my coffee cup was always kept full. This is right off the interstate and next to Cherryvale Mall. I think you will enjoy it. They do have great lunches also. read more

Much smaller than the original location. Service was top notch per usual & food is always great. Portions are large as well. The bar top in the center was cool! Love going to Johnny Pamcakes out at the Harley Davidson store. We almost always order the Swedish connection. The Swedish pancakes are amazing! I ordered a side of hash browns this time, they were good! The coffee service was slow on this day, as I had to wait for my empty cup to be noticed and filled. There is usually a wait, they do not accept reservations but you can call ahead 15 minutes prior to reserve a table. The middle area at the "bar area" is first come first serve! I always order the Swedish connection which is the best ! Comes with two eggs your way, 2 sausage links, 2 stripes of bacon and 2 Swedish pancakes smothered in butter. We've dined at Johnny Pamcakes before but didn't know they had a location at the Harley Davidson store! It was a neat experience. Small, and cozy. When I come here I always order the Swedish pancakes, they are delish! I only wish that they had berries to top it off with but it's still very good. My husband ordered the farmers omelet which he thought was super tasty. What I love so much about this place other than the good food is that the staff is always so nice and and attentive to your needs. The food is VERY affordable too! We have never spent $20 or higher eating here as a couple. That includes a full breakfast and drinks. We love it here and highly recommend! read more

Absolutley. Fantastic. Just wanted a quick bite to eat with my sister before class at our college and this was exactly what I wanted. Relatively inexpensive since two broke college students got a solid breakfast for under $15. Their service is amazing. Our servers name was Theresa and she was absolutely on top of it. The moment we asked for something, it was there. She was so sweet and we really appreciated her warm demeanor. Food was also amazing. The guy at the restaurant door was not friendly, seemed annoyed in fact asked us if we wanted to be seated at the counter, we sat, the stools are really low so we asked to move to a booth. We went there on a snowy Saturday in April 2022 for my birthday breakfast which was also the 110th anniversary of the Harley dealership, we found out as we walked through the Harley store waiting for a booth. It was breakfast food so nothing extra ordinary. What would have made this a nice breakfast was a kind greeting. read more
