Great pizza place close to home. Love the service we got from the time we walked in the door. The kids had a blast, and their buffet was cheap for the kids. Ours was a little pricey for a pizza buffet, but it worked out well with the kids. The all meat pizza was my favorite. Just the right amount of spiced sausage and live the crust. Out of all of the options at the buffet, I ended up only finding 2 things that were edible after my first round of food. It was spaghetti and a thick crust cheese pizza. However, the second time around, the cheese pizza tasted terrible and I couldn't finish it. I basically just got full on the spaghetti at this buffet and it wasn't even because it was good... there was nothing else to eat. The rest of the pizza was bland and I bit into what looked like a chocolate cake/pie but it was equivalent to biting into cardboard with chocolate sauce on it so I stopped. LOVE me some Johnny's Pizza!! I started eating at Johnny's in Farmerville, LA when I was very little. When I heard we were getting one close to home I could not wait until they opened! We have dined in, done take out and the buffet! It's a twist on the traditional pizza that I think is amazing. Not too greasy, just the right amount of sauce and the cheese is to die for. My family and I are regulars at this establishment, and we haven't been disappointed yet. The salad bars are always in amazing condition and taste just as wonderful. Although I'm not a huge fan of the buffet, when the pizza comes out hot and fresh, nothing can compare. Finally, the arcade machines are a great experience for the children in my party and I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they win the stuffed plush they were eying. read more

I go for lunch a couple of times a week. I don't care for the lunch buffet. It's not enough choices for the money. The absolute worst place I've ever been to. Took my grandkids there for dinner they charged 4.00 for a six year old to get a little bit of lettuce from the salad bar. The waitress dumped the pizza on the table so they had to cook another one. The staff was incredibly rude and when I asked to see the manager she was even ruder. I love Johnny's Pizza, and I'm glad there's one a little closer to us here in New Orleans...though I wish I didn't have to drive all the way to Covington to get it! I really like this place. I like to get the salad bar. It's very good, fresh, and delicious! We usually eat here with the kids. So that means at least 2 pizzas. The pizza is good. I've tried some of the different pizzas but I find that the basic pepperoni is my favorite. It's really cool while we sit the kids can go upstairs and be entertained with the games. They love it and we get a few minutes to talk about our day before the food arrives! Very nice and convenient place. Never had a problem here. Everyone is really nice, food and atmosphere! read more

The price is right at Johnny's! . Solid Buffett , great salad bar, pasta & bread sticks and friendly service. They have draft beer sold in mugs and by the pitcher at really good prices. Children's plates are dirt cheap! 50cents per year for however old the child is for the Buffett. My 2 and 5 year olds ate for $3.50 total ! Small but fun arcade upstairs as well. Work for Johnny's for about a year and a half I will admit that we weren't always the best customer service and we didn't always make the best pizzas for one reason that me along with several other people stay loyal to that company for so long was the management it was under at the time Bobby is one of the best managers a person to work for he's not an asshole and he's not a prick like most people these days he's no longer there for reasons unknown to me but all I can say is you're going to lose a lot of business because of it. THE beat pizza. Would give 5 stars, but the service here is usually lacking just a little bit. The staff do not seem to be familiar with their product or the "institution" of Johnny's Pizza. Also, there is a difference between a Party Pizza and a regular large pizza. The large pizzas are to have more toppings than the Party Pizza. At this location, the regular large pizzas rarely have the right amount of toppings. This always disappoints, and tells me the staff may not be properly trained. BUT... it's still Johnny's! So... Good for the kids! This isn't where I would go for really good pizza, but I would go back because my kids liked it. The lunch buffet is cheap, like 40 cents times the age of your child. Came here at 12:00 for the 11-2 buffet and was very disappointed, the pizza was slim pickings and what was there was dry from sitting out, when they did put new pizza out it was the same kind from before, the "buffet" was 4 different pizzas something that resembles spaghetti soup and old macaroni, with 3 dessert pizzas to choose from and barely there salad bar....Not worth my money and not coming back. read more

I love everything about this place especially the buffet and desert pizzas. The pizzas are cut so perfectly that you can taste every seasoning and flavor in the pizza, and while you are dining your kids can go upstairs and play in their arcade that is comparable to Chuck-e-cheese read more

I usually don't complain, but I have to mention this here. I DID speak to the manager, and the OWNER, who was there. I went to the Covington location of Johnny's pizza house, and I was told that my kids were eating too much cheese pizza. On a BUFFET? Are you serious?!? I gave them a heads up when I arrived to make extra cheese pizza, and then when they brought out the 1st cheese pizza (8 slices), I took 2 pieces each for my 3 kids. I asked them to make another cheese, and was told that "I couldn't take the "entire pizza" off the buffet to feed my kids!" Then when I tried to talk to the manager about the comment by the employee, she stared at the TV and ignored me. The owner was there and I went to talk to him because I was upset at the way I was being treated, and he told me to "stop freaking out...it's just pizza." Then he told me there were "11 different kinds of pizza and they should pick something else. Cheese is expensive!" What???? All they eat is cheese!! Then he says "why don't you just order a large pizza instead of the buffet?" Ummmm....because it makes more sense for me to get the buffet? I'm a paying customer. I can't get the buffet? Horrible customer service! The staff was just standing around talking and goofing off with each other. The guy who took my order was pretty rude and it took over 30 minutes to get my pizza when there was only one other customer there. I love everything at there buffet except for the apple pie pizza. And there non-buffet pizza is so good to.

Let me start off by saying that the pizza is not that bad. Not the best but far from worse. The overall experience is what really sets the bar low. When you walk in your greeted by employees that obviously appear to wish they were some place else. You have to stand in a line and order at a counter with customers not knowing what they want, this becomes agonizingly painful as you watch them reading the menu and talking it over with their group on what to agree on. The restaurant is clearly set up for servers but for some odd reason Johnny's has decided that inconveniencing every customer that walks in is the better way. The one person that they have working all of the tables on a Saturday night, bringing out the pizzas and clearing the tables was just as lackluster in her duties as the person taking the orders. There were only two tables seated in this large place and she could not be found to pick up plates or bring to go boxes. There is also a room upstairs with video games but either the a/c was not working or they cannot afford to turn it on. It may have actually been cooler outside on a balmy August night. The salad bar was ok, nothing special. The cleanliness was satisfactory also. It's my belief with some proper management, this could be a fun place to take the kids. Hopefully they will make some improvements and prosper, however they are on a slippery slope as of now. read more

I heard about Johnny's Pizza from friends that want to school in Monroe. Last week I was in Covington and had dinner at Johnny's Pizza for the first time. We got a large pepperoni and a small "Sweep the Kitchen". The pizza was fantastic. The beer was ice cold!!! They have a game room upstairs for the kids. Next time I'm getting the Mighty Meat pizza ( It looked great). We will be back soon. read more

They should try cleaning the place from time to time. The place is always dirty and tables are normally left with dirty dishes. Its seldom that someone comes by to pick up old plates. As most reviews have said, there is no real management here to run the place. Food is pretty good though. read more
