LIT Pizza has become one of our favorite after school stops. I have visited several times and each experience has been consistent. Great pizza but the shear amount of to go orders ahead of you when it's busy is ridiculous when your trying to grab a quick bite sitting in the restaurant. This makes me want to go elsewhere. Preference should people in person over to go orders! read more

I've been to Lit quite a bit since it's close to home. The pizza is good and the price is as well. My average check is between $22-$32 depending on what we get and including a tip. They also have a rewards program. I've been earning points but haven't used any yet, so I can't tell you if it's a good rewards program. You can order online through their site for pickup which connects to the Toast system. I've done this several times and it's worked well. I went inside to order on my last visit. It was very busy on a Sunday evening which did affect the efficiency in ordering and quality of the food. I am still giving them 5 stars because every other experience I have had has been great. I consider yesterday an outlier and it still wasn't bad considering the circumstances. I got my usual create your own pizza. They unfortunately didn't add 2 ingredients I requested. It was so busy that I didn't catch it on the line either. We got a bacon and jalapeño cheese sticks and they didn't put any ricotta cheese in them. I highly recommend these but they are definitely better with ricotta. They were still good but even better with all the ingredients! My partner did get his pizza correctly because he watched carefully to get what he asked for. I've never had that problem before and wasn't paying close enough attention. I still enjoyed my food and all the employees were very nice even while it was so busy. A quick tip; If you want your pizza to be cooked a little crisper, just request. They actually flip the # sign attached to your pizza to let the employee running the pizza oven to cook it a little longer. We got our order to go but there's a good bit of seating inside and a couple of tables outside if you want to deal with the extreme heat this summer! It's a casual restaurant with modern decor and finishes. It was still quite clean even while really busy. It's always been clean since we started going about 7 months back. Even with the few hiccups on this last visit, we will be back again. I'll update my review if I think the problems become a consistent issue. Go get Lit! read more

The concept is great, the price impressive and the staff is always happy and helpful... but the PIZZA! I have been here 5 times and each time the pizza crust is chewy, yes chewy, I will be honest I like a crisp crust and their crust doesn't crisp up. I took one home and put it in the oven to cook it 5-10 minutes longer and nope. The food here is very good! I love thin crust pizza and the crust here is super thin. You definitely want to beat the lunch hour rush. How have I not reviewed Lit? I found these guys just this year and have been back at least once a month for their "Pizza of the Month." Oh man, just remembering the jalapeño popper PoM is making my mouth water. Fresh jalapeños and ricotta cheese. Never had ricotta on a pizza before. Don't really want one without again. So good! I bet I had it three times. There was a shrimp pizza with capers and basil and all the yummiest stuff! Almost missed out on this one when they sent me the wrong pizza, but the folks here made it right for me and it was amazing! The way they have their food line set up, leads to possibly having cross-contamination with certain items. That was my biggest pet peeve. We had one individual in our group who has a dairy allergy. So it seems like all of the workers there use gloves and do not change them With every single order or wash their hands in between orders. Very clean, polite staff, reasonable prices. You kind of walk your pizza down the line and they put what you want, and in what amount, you want it. My server was nothing less than charming. The biggest mistake you can make is asking for too much of one ingredient because you are so used to being shorted. I am just instantly conditioned to ask for extra cheese, but I got so much that I actually regretted it because with too much cheese the other ingredients didn't shine. I learned a good lesson. I've been to this location at least 3 or more times. My family snd I love the food here, the pizza and calzones are delicious. My son and husband have had several pizza & varieties, both menu and personalized and have lived them all. I have always did a "make your own" pizza and calzones, never disappointed! The ingredients are always delicious. The calzones are also delicious. The only issue with this location is that there is usually a crowd and the line can be long. It doesn't always move fast as people are ordering and pizza is being prepared along the line. Also seating is limited and there tends to be a crowd at peek and some off peek times. If you go and there's an extra person with you, have them look out for a table while you're in line. If not, finding one when you're ready to sit & eat can be tricky. Otherwise, enjoy! read more

This place can get busy, so just be warned - but it still didn't seem like it took a long time from getting in the door, ordering, and getting your pizza. The pizza was very good, and I really appreciated all the different options. So many places say they have "veggie" pizzas and they don't. Lit Pizza has a delicious list of vegetables, many sauce options, a ton of different cheeses, and even drizzles for when your pizza is out of the oven. Best of all - THIN CRUST! Making my own was only complicated because I couldn't choose from all the toppings. I decided on the pesto & EVOO sauce (delicious), fresh mozzarella and ricotta, sautéed onions, bell peppers, artichokes, roasted garlic, and banana peppers. I ended up topping with the honey habanero drizzle, and it was slightly sweeter than spicy to me, but still delicious. Pizzas were ready within minutes, and the crust was perfect. I went to the new lit pizza location today and got the pizza of the month, along with 2 pepperoni cheese pizzas. It's a short wait in line and for it to be completed, but definitely worth it. Fresh ingredients and the honey habanero drizzle is delicious. Ate half the pizza, and felt full without it feeling heavy. The staff was kind and kept up with the foot traffic perfectly. Recently tried this make-your-own style pizza place (think Subway or Chipotle, going down the line choosing your own ingredients.) Husband chose the Pesto Pollo with white sauce, a menu option. I made my own with red sauce, Italian sausage, ham, soft cooked veggies, and mozzarella. Crusts are thin, crispy and tasty. (They also have cauliflower crusts and non-dairy cheese.) So first off they have a huge amount of teenagers/possible college kids running this place. No adult in sight. Not a problem if they were responsible. No they were acting like fools flipping each others hats off their heads, running their mouths, just very unprofessional. Half of them had masks that didn't cover their full mouths or noses. They drop my pizza. I understand that bc mistakes happen. They remake it. Take it out the oven. Cheese isn't even melted. They argue with my husband that it's cooked. I try to eat it and it's cold. They put it back in oven and actually heated it up. Then they had an over large amount of workers talking and not working while a few other hard workers walked around them actually working. Decent Pizza is hard to find on the Northshore (to me). They serve one size personal pizza in a blast oven, this gives some good char on the crust making the edges crispy. Lots of Fresh ingredients, and get his for 8.50 you get a personal pizza with unlimited toppings. Lots of combinations to make the pizza your own. On this little pizza you get more toppings then you would get on a 32" pizza (from another local pizza place whom shall not be named). Considering how busy they are the crew works fast and hard.
