Johnny's is unlike any other pizza I've ever had. The crust is slightly sweet, slightly yeasty (in a good way) it is 100% chef's kiss! And the cheese sauce!!! I'm not a big cheese person, especially don't care for "fake" Velveeta-type cheeses. And although Johnny's certainly isn't artisan, it's the best dang cheese dip I've ever had. Think yellow ballpark nacho sauce with a slight jalapeño flavor and somehow better than any other cheese sauce ever. If you like a lot of toppings checkout their signature Sweep The Kitchen (I get it minus the anchovies). They load it up! i called in an order for a swap pizza on 3/14/2026 @ 7:32 in the evening with no jalapeños. When i got home to Deep South jackson where I live, there were jalapeños cut up so fine i couldnt pick them off. Couldnt tell the jalapeños from the bell peppers. Johnny's is an institution in Louisianna. However, everything rises and falls on leadership and unfortunately the MS Franchise is not good. The Gluckstadt and Ridgeland stores are at best, inconsistent. The service is not good at either store and has been that way since shortly after they opened. I am a huge Johnny's fan but will not be back to either of the MS stores. read more

First try at Johnny's-Madison,Ms. Small store, looks like primarily takeout, though there was one couple that walked in while I was ordering. Store front was clean, one guy both took my order and prepared the pizza, price was avg, told me about 15 mins wait. Pizza was ready in about 12 mins for a takeout, large "Mighty Meaty", I'll have to say the pizza was pretty good, closer to avg, price was avg, about $12-$13, Not great but not bad for a quick takeout. Location in a small complex just north of venable glass north bound on hwy 51 in Madison. Give them a try and post what you think. read more

Updated review one year later: I just moved back to the area and was excited to visit Johnny's Pizza since I'd had such a great experience my first time eating here a year ago. This restaurant has failed severely. I walked in to pick up $40 worth of pizza and was told it would be another five minute wait; I told them "no problem" and sat down at a booth. Meanwhile, the only customers in the store was a table of teenagers carrying on, a few of them were actual employees...hanging out with their friends. When I say that literally every other word was "n-word, fck that, btch, etc." I exaggerate NONE. I tend to have the mouth of a sailor, and I don't care what you say outside of the workplace, but the people behind the counter and the teenage employees hanging out at the table were so incredibly unprofessional. I asked for an update after fifteen minutes of waiting, was told it was not ready and ended up waiting another five minutes before I finally decided to walk out. I highly recommend that no one wastes their time or money on this location. read more

Sweep the kitchen pizza is amazing! Go ahead and get the anchovies on it with jalapeños(if you can handle the heat)! We questioned this decision, and this is what made it so yummy! Really good! Received a coupon in the mail and decided to give it a try. The chicken flip with ranch was beyond delicious. The hog heaven pizza was good as well. Really great pizza place! The staff is friendly and hard working. Most of the staff looked like high school aged or young adults! They are doing a fantastic job of making this place successful. We ordered the "Sweep the Kitchen"-which is similar to a supreme topping pizza. The crust is thin and crispy. It was hot, fresh ingredients and delicious. They don't cut traditional pie cut slices-it's more like sticks or strips! In my opinion, easier to eat!
