Passed through Vidalia on my way to a high school playoff game and decided to stop for the lunch buffet, because unfortunately none of the locations in south Louisiana in the area where I live offer the buffet anymore. Atmosphere was terrible. Like a zoo, kids running wild everywhere and screaming. I know the staff doesn't provide the children, but they could at least put up a sign for parents to do so. Country music blasting out loud. Service wasn't that great either. Said they would call my name when ready. After about 20 minutes, I approached the counter and asked how much longer. My order was sitting on the shelf behind the cashier, and had been there a while as I saw it when it was put there. Pizza wasn't much better. The dough had no flavor and the sauce also seemed to lack in its seasoning. Also had an order of cinnamon sticks? Was just sweetened pizza dough with cinnamon and and icing added on top. read more

Pizzas in different sizes. Original crust and a pan crust. Sandwiches , bone less chicken wings, and a calzone type deal which is pretty good. Salad bar was better than Pizza Huts... The crew is slow and seems to care nothing about service or getting it done. Grew up eating Johnny's pizza in Monroe. Was back visiting family and on two occasions ordered to pick up. Strike one. ordered pizza showed up at stated time 25 minutes. They had not even started making it. 40 minutes of sitting in store, finally get pizza. Store did not seem busy. Pizza was ok, little undercooked for my taste. Strike two. ordered pizza, showed up at 20 minutes. Knew to ask if they had started making pizza. They had not. Told them never mind and walked out. Sad news that a great chain & tradition will go down the tubes because of the caliber of the work force. read more

Johnnys has pretty good pizza. Don't think that this 3 star review reflects badly on the food itself because it is actually the opposite. The food was pretty good. The resurant seems clean and organized. If I was judging on that alone then five stars would have been easy. BUT, it only took one person to ruin that. The "girl" behind the counter that took our order was extremely hurried and rude. We were the only ones in the place at 330 March 15. After we ordered I couldn't help myself, my kids wanted quarters for the games. I gave the rude little dummy a gold sacajawea dollar to change for quarters just to blow her mind. It worked. She said she couldn't accept it. I told her she could because it was American currency and there was no sign stating "no coins". Turns out she didn't think it was real. Yikes! Maybe she would be a better dish washer. read more
