I ended up needing a lot of bodywork repair after someone's unsecured metal bar flew out of their truck bed and wiped out the front lower portion of my car. John and Laurie could not have been more helpful. They walked me through what I would need to do with the insurance company, kept me informed of where we were in the repair process, and my car was beautiful when they were done with it! I dont recommend this body shop cause they don't stand by the work . They say they warranty their work but played games with me for 5 weeks and kept lying to me about repainting my bumper that they painted and the paint is flaking off . They don't even deserve 1 star. So John responds to me and tells me a made up story that was never said to me one time during the 5 weeks i was pushed aside. Also said that the bumper was all of a sudden painted and funny thing is that he bought and returned bumper from the company I work for and the bumper WAS NOT PAINTED AT ALL !!! I had high hopes for this shop because they seemed so nice. i made an appointment that was a week and a half later for a drop off. I waited patiently for the appointmen. I called the day before to let them know when the rental car place would be available to pick me up. the guy tried to gaslight me and said I didn't have an appointment. I stuck to my guns and then he eventually said that they were just too busy. I will never go there again. I have no information on if they are good or not at fixing cars. any place that does this kind of crap does not deserve my time and money. if it allowed me I would give zero stars. read more

I had my car repaired at johns auto body a few months ago. While the car was fixed they did in fact have me lie to the insurance company and say it was undrivable and they did send me to enterprise themselves not through the insurance company at first. They were nice until I picked the car up. I complained that the new paint on my driver side door didn't look flush and the paint was off. When I complained they told me the insurance company paid for it and I had no right to complain because its not my money paying for the job. While I displeased with the service they did have it done fast. I rated them 3 stars because I feel they deserved 2 for the speedy repairs and 1 for for the fast rental car. Do not get me wrong I will never go back here again. It was MY car they were fixing not theirs, regardless of who pays for it the customers car is in fact the customers car and if they are not satisfied you should fix it. I am writing this now that other people have come forward about the service here. read more

I went over a curb last weekend which messed my car up pretty bad and called my normal body shop who referred me to John's Auto Body. They were honest and upfront about the damage on my car and gave me multiple options. John was able to give me a general price from the visual damage and told me he could give me a more in depth estimate for ($110) although the repair would likely continue to snowball and the engine may have overheated due to the oil leaking (Just looking at it the radiator was pushed back into the AC, oil pan had a large crack, suspension damage and a few other issues which would cost well over my car is worth). When all was said and done I decided the car was officially totaled and I might as well scrap it. I think my favorite part of this whole experience was they allowed me to leave my car on their (small) lot free of charge and were extremely nice to me which helped a lot during this hardship. I didn't have any work done on my car so I can't speak from personal experience but I do know they've had the same mechanics for 30 years and gave me a lot of useful information that no other shop would likely give. Thank You guys so much, hopefully I won't have to go to a mechanic/body shop any time soon but if I do, I'll be coming back to you!! read more

Was not an easy task it required a lot of work and they are fast with fixing your vehicle right, and not sacrifice of the quality of work. I have nothing but great things to say about John's Auto Body. I was rear ended while stopped at a red light, overall about $4,000 in damage. My car was hit about a year ago and based on the number of issues I had with the first shop I decided to look around. I initially came across John's via a very bad review on YELP and decided against his shop. I spoke to a neighbor a few days later about recommendations and when he said John's, I was surprised and told him about the review. I only decided to go with John based on word of mouth and it was the best decision I could have made. The guys at John's did an amazing job on my 2010 Audi and even fixed some of the issues left by the first body shop. I would skip the big guys and head to John for any body work. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BODY SHOP IN THE BALTIMORE AREA!!! I've taken 2 of my cars to Johns auto body due to accidents over the past 3 years. One of the cars that was being worked on recently that was involved in a front end accident which wasn't bad. All that needed to be done originally was a paint job we thought. But once they removed the bumper they found that the previous owner before me was also involved in an accident as well due to there being glue on the inside of the front bumper and some bolts under the hood that didn't match the the factory bolts.You could tell that the previous owner went the cheap route and decided to fix whatever damage on his own. Anyways John called me and made me aware of what they found and instead of just painting over the little scratch from my accident we were able to get a whole new front bumper for it. The customer service at Johns auto body is through the roof. I know for a fact that when I take my cars there to be worked on I will be well taken care of at johns auto body and I'm sure anyone else that had their car worked on there would say the same. read more

I have used John's twice now. Last year I was driving my brand new subaru BRZ and was rear ended in a hit and run and the damage totaled over 8000 dollars. Johns made my car look like nothing ever happened to it. Service was excellent and they kept me updated on my car and showed me all the work they did with pictures afterwards. I recently went back after my car was hit while parked in a garage. Again the car looks brand new after they have to replace a quarter panel and rear bumper a second time. They even fixed the fractured paint I had on my hood from bird droppings for just a few extra bucks and it looks great. I highly recommend them. First of all, I would recommend this place to anyone. If you have damage to your car, give this place a chance for your business. You wont be disappointed. John's auto body was recommended to me by a friend. I had front end damage that was caused by junk falling out of a truck and hitting my front end and right fender. I drove the car for 2 weeks before that friend told me about John's. Luckily for me, I took it down for an estimate and I found out that; not only was the front end and fender damaged, the debris had gone through and hit the radiator. I was lucky the radiator hadn't busted during the time I was driving it. After I provided John's with the claim number, they worked hand in hand with the ins adjuster. I was provided with updates and after about 10 days John's had replaced the front end, fender, radiator and matched the paint. The car looked brand new. John's was a place where I felt I wasn't being taken advantage of and thats a hard thing to do these days. read more
