I went here for a haircut today and the lady was a complete jerk. She was so happy to talk to the two gentlemen getting their hair cut before me, but she hated me from the start apparently. When it was my turn, I had to look at her and she says "yes? Can I help you?"....clearly I'm here to get a hair cut. Whatever. I walk over and the first thing she says is "well you clearly have a day off, huh?" Because I'm wearing athletic shorts and shirt. I can tell this is going to go well. I sit down and try not to think about it. I asked for an inch off the top and a fade on the sides and back. She sighs and says "well then give me your glasses" and tosses them on the counter. Not one word during the hair cut. Not. One. As she's finishing, she spins me towards the mirror and says nothing. Cool. She took off MAYBE 1/2 inch. I ask for another 1/4 inch. She sighs and says "really? Ugh." Then cuts for another 30 seconds before giving up and taking off the coat. I have been going here for years and have never experienced such terrible service. I will NEVER be back because of this. There's plenty of barber shops that would be happy to take my money. Connie and Julie were working today. I did not catch her name, but she is the one with the longer blonde hair. She single handedly ruined any future experience I would have had. Never ever again. read more

I started going to John's Barbershop in Middle School through High School in the class of 1984. I was away for a few years after leaving to attend Ohio State University. Move back to Westerville and 2014. The consistency and the customer experience have not changed a bit..... I take that back only changed ​for the better. John's Barber Shop has to be the best Barber Shop I have ever visited! I've been getting my haircut here now for 4 years. There are many shops around and closer, but if Connie isn't available when I need a cut, I'll wait weeks until she is available. She cuts it perfect every time, without even telling her how I want it cut. She knows her customers. Connie is probably the best Barber I have ever had to cut my hair. Very nice shop. Just remodeled this past year. Very nice Barbers. I drive a great distance to get my hair cut here, and hopefully will be able for years to come! Give them a try, They're great! read more

TERRIBLE. Terrible haircut. Terrible experience. DIRTY. Dirty floor with hair from previous haircuts all over it. Dirty mirror. Dirty counter. I should've walked out. Barber talked in depth about her dog rolling in deer diarrhea, alcoholic roommate & a woman who attempted suicide in the shop. Asked for a very light clean up trim with very little taken off. Cut my hair way too short, and I had to tell her 3x to stop cutting my hair. I shouldn't have paid based on this terrible experience. read more

I was excited when the reopened the day that the Ohio governor first allowed barber shops to open. I certainly need a hair cut! this is one of the last old school shops left still use straight razor! the girls are great and there is never a dull moment plus you get a great cut . it's clean and great for all ages I see little ones to older one they can cut them all and the wait is never long and new walk-ins are treated like family.once you get cut here you will never want to go any where else.one guy , three girls it's always fun! read more

Thus is a great place. The barbers are all very friendly, especially Connie. Not only does she give me a great haircut, but she goes above and beyond. When I was in the hospital, she came to my room and cut my hair several times. She didn't have to do that. I stumbled upon this place last night as I had just shipped a package at the nearby UPS store and was looking for a quick haircut. Apparently this place has been around for 40+ years but I had never noticed it before, but then I've only been in Westerville for 5 years so... After ascertaining that they were not busy I was able to get in at 6:40, or 20 minutes before close, for a quick trim as I was in a hurry because I had a large amount of grocery shopping to do that evening. Lisa introduced herself and I was able to get seated and explain to her what I was looking for. She took the time to go over it with me to ensure she knew exactly what I was talking about. Throughout the course of the haircut we talked and talked about various things, Lisa gave me some nice hair care tips and my haircut turned out exactly how I wanted it to. I thanked Lisa and gave her a nice tip and was out the door about 7:05 and on my way. Very happy that I finally found a great shop close to home that cuts my hair like I like, isn't overly expensive and has someone very friendly to speak with to make the process go a little quicker. Was looking for an affordable haircut, got tires of paying $50 for simple clippers on the side and a few scissor snips on the top with the results not being precise and noticing it after getting home and washing my hair. Found John's Barber Shop and I liked it. Left happy and stayed happy after washing my hair. I would recommend this place. read more

I've taken my boys there together their hair cuts. The ladies there are really great, and they prices are right.

Stopped in for a quick cut and was pleased with my experience! Asked for a quick trim and the stylist delivered. Friendly stylist who was efficient and experienced. Nothing fancy or special like straight razor on back or hot towels, but price was cheaper than other shops that offer these extras. Yeah man, I got another haircut. This time I made a concerted effort to say as little as possible (I'm a scientist and an introvert, so it was easier than you might think) and they still made my hair look good. I can't see any reason that I would go somewhere else for a haircut. read more

Very nice trim and done in an expeditious manner. But there is no sign anywhere in the shop for their pricing. And $16 for a trim is steep. Why don't you post your prices? Typically I don't buy if I don't know how much it costs. read more
