The hot yoga is a bit too hot for me, and they use the same routine every time, which a lot of people love! I personally enjoy more variation, but the poses give you a well rounded experience and you feel nice and balanced! I joined for a trail month, and plan on continuing the three months I'll be here for work. I also have only tried hot classes, I look forward to trying the other classes! One suggestion I would make. I didn't really care to see the bathrooms while I was practicing. It's probably just me, so I sat a different place the next time. Was thinking maybe some curtains in front of them would be nice!

First, Sunny Street limits class sizes to 10. I LOVE that classes never feel crowded, and I never have to rush to get there too early for a spot. Additionally, I never have to worry about the potential awkwardness of touching strangers accidentally in class. (Okay, there are certainly worse things, but this is so awkward, right?!) Next, this is truly a studio that offers many styles of practice. If you are looking for strength and stamina, you can find it. If you are looking for restoration and meditation, you can find it. If you are looking for a flow that combines the two, yep - you can find it. Like an earlier reviewer, I am LOVING the Ashtanga classes. Additionally, all levels of practice are welcomed. Props are readily available, and modifications and enhancements are offered for many asanas. In my experience, classes typically have participants that reflect a range of experience levels. All are welcomed and encouraged. I have never seen anyone pushed beyond their comfort level. All instructors I've practiced with (I have been to classes offered by five different instructors) have been incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and encouraging. I regularly sign up for classes with all of them as my schedule allows. Sunny Street has a handy app for class registration. All classes require registration in advance, and the app makes it so easy to check out the schedule and register for classes. It is super user-friendly. You can also monitor the number of participants who have registered for upcoming classes. Sunny Street also offers other wellness classes and special events, such as book clubs, circles, and general wellness events. They also sponsor events in the community, such as Friday morning yoga at the Forum. There appear to be a number of opportunities to connect with other people who practice at the studio if you are interested in doing so. Finally, it is easy to get in and out of - open parking lot and close to a number of neighborhoods. Classes are affordable and membership is a great value! I highly recommend a visit. There were familiar postures in there, but many brand new ones that I've never tried before. What I loved most about the new postures is they really helped me focus on proper technique, and less about how deep I go into a posture. This was also one of the hardest classes I've taken. I'm so used to Bikram Yoga, that it has become much more relaxing than physically challenging. Where is with this class, I had to take several breaks as it was much harder than I was used to. I found the studio online and of all the studios I looked at, it had the most variety of classes at times that worked for us (after regular working hours and on weekends). We signed up for the initial $20 unlimited 2 weeks pass and crammed in as many classes as we could over that time. Every class we took and every instructor we worked with was fantastic. I did 2 of the video classes as well. Everyone was kind and welcoming. And we loved that every single class and instructor reinforced that everyone's yoga practice is individual and we should feel free to modify as needed and ask for help when needed. We have since purchased multiple of the 30 class packs but I think we'll switch to the monthly rate as soon as we've used all of our classes. We look forward to the 2-3 classes a week we attend; they've become so much a part of our weekly routine that everything feels "off" if we miss one! The fact that Lift has now added a John's Creek location is even better for us, since we split time between my home in Alpharetta and my partner's house in John's Creek - so wherever we are, we can find a class time and location that works. Final note: I can only assume the handful of people giving 1-star reviews and complaining about the studio being "activist" and "political" are anti-maker folks who bristled at being asked to wear a mask and social distance inside the studio. We gladly wore our masks for the first several months we attended and continue to distance while inside the studio when requested. Yoga is not a-political. The very essence of yoga requires truth, justice, peace, and learning - and yes, activism. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand yoga.

The best part is that they have mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks, everything you need for class all to use free of charge! My only complaint is that they don't have a place to refill water bottles. Yes, they have the bathroom sink and they sell dasani water but I would really like a water fountain or any filtered water area outside of the bathroom. In the large scheme of things this isn't a make it or break it thing buuuuut I figured I would mention it :) Overall this is a great studio and I've already bought a class package as I will be a frequent customer!

WG Aquatic has figured out we mostly prefer oxygen to chlorine, and their fresh air system (not the official name) works. Spacious shower/changing rooms and roomy pool decks allow you some elbow room, and the upper-deck stands give spectators a great vantage point to see their favorite swimmer shave a second off that PR. The secondary pool area is a little warmer and gives space for personal workouts while the main lanes are hosting team practices. And regardless you'll have year-round swim options here. If we didn't live in the hinterlands across the city, we'd enjoy frequenting for water adventures.

My team was losing until flip cups lol. We came back and won the battle lol! My husband said he enjoyed it and would do it again & that he had more fun than he expected. That's a win in & of itself! lol Please bring cash or have Cash App to tip your host and game tech advisor person; I forgot the title lol. They make your game show battle experience fun! The restrooms were clean. They sell water, soft drinks, some beer, seltzers, and maybe wine and sports drinks. I don't think I saw any food for sell. It's all about the game show battles anyway! As I walked through the space, I was able to watch artists at work and enjoy the current gallery exhibits on display. The atmosphere was inspiring and welcoming. Adult fall classes--running October 6th through December 13th--are also available, covering both visual and ceramic arts. Each class is taught by individual instructors, making it approachable for students of all levels. Best of all, online registration makes it simple to sign up. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that such a wonderful resource has been right in my neighborhood all along. It was a great experience, and I've already registered for pottery classes--something I'm really excited about! I give this studio a 1 star because of the instructors. The location is great and the studio is nice but the instructors just sit or walk around telling the students what to do. They do not show you how to do the poses and they do not fix your postures. The instructors talk a lot through the whole class. I sometimes wonder if they know how to do the postures. The classes to me were very lite and more of a stretching class. There was no way to get better because no one shows you more challenging moves. They do tell you if you want to take it to the next step you can but the problem is we don't know how and no one shows us!! If you want to just stretch and not take your practice to the next level this is a nice place. If you want to take it to the next level please save $100 a month and find another studio. read more

While I take meds and have regular appointments with a rheumatologist, yoga is the only thing that truly makes me feel better, so I was desperate to find a new home studio. Once everything started opening up, I tried various other studios, but none of them felt right. They all seemed focused on what I call "trendy yoga" . But then I found Breathe. I started following them on Instagram to get a feeling about their practice. Finally I took the plunge and signed up for the new student package. After 3 weeks, I became a full member. The Breathe staff passionately believes that we are students of our bodies, and that mantra shines through in every class. I feel like I've found my practice again.... And that feeling is terrific.

The location can be a bit confusing to find if you are unfamiliar with the area, as its located in the back of the Tannery Row building (but the GPS brings you to the front). Thankfully, when texting with the studio regarding my appointment, they informed me that they are located in the back and this made things easier. I signed up for the introductory Private Pilates Package which allows me 5 Private Pilates sessions for $200. I have never taken a Pilates class in my life, so I was a bit nervous and intimidated. My instructor, Josee, was very warm, welcoming and explained everything we were doing in detail. The studio itself is really nice as well. It is spacious, open and has several different rooms for the various classes. They offer Yoga (aerial, prenatal, etc), Kettlebell, Pilates and more. I haven't taken a hot yoga class in probably 20 years, so personally I was not prepared for how difficult the class would be. Didn't matter though, the instructor was so great and reassured me that there's no pressure to perform it all, and to listen to what my body is telling me. So I did. I took it easier than the regulars, but still left the class feeling amazing! This class may be tough for beginners, but everyone from the teachers to the students and even the owners are so supportive, you instantly feel comfortable. The students are so friendly, they even gave me pointers on classes I should join. I must add, I was even more excited to support them as a black owned business. Both husband and wife were there to greet everyone that walked in, knew their patrons names, & even took the time before class to give me a tour of their facility. They have mats available for those that don't have their own yet or forgot them at home. They have multiple restrooms and also a shower room, one for women and one for men. They even let you know about upcoming events and classes that can benefit you personally! It's always intimidating trying to get into a new fitness routine, but they certainly make you feel at home & like part of their tribe. I'm excited to try out some of their other classes to get a feel for what I like best. If you get a chance to check them out, I definitely recommend taking a class to see how great your body feels after!

They are both so friendly and welcoming! After just one visit I was greeted by name every time after that! They have about 10 different teachers although I have not had a chance to take classes with all of them. But two of my favorites are Betsy and BeAnne. They have two completely different styles of teaching but both are fun and challenging! The studio is very clean and has natural light from the many windows. The best part is that they have mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks, everything you need for class all to use free of charge! My only complaint is that they don't have a place to refill water bottles. Yes, they have the bathroom sink and they sell dasani water but I would really like a water fountain or any filtered water area outside of the bathroom. In the large scheme of things this isn't a make it or break it thing buuuuut I figured I would mention it :) Overall this is a great studio and I've already bought a class package as I will be a frequent customer!

I was introduced to Svaroopa yoga here and definitely became a fan. I have also taken Hatha with Kim and she is a great teacher as well. They are welcoming to people of all levels and abilities so don't feel intimidated if it is your first time taking yoga. I've taken class with men & women in their 60's to high school boys who were taking Hatha as an addition to the training regimen. Plus, if you are in the Roswell/Alpharetta area the location is great - downtown Roswell with plenty of parking.
