I really like this QFC! I went grocery shopping on Saturday at around 9:30am and it was very clean,…read morequiet, organized and fully stocked + the employees were very helpful. There are lots of solid deals (for QFC members) and they have unique grocery items I haven't noticed in other stores. Additionally, this location has a great Starbucks inside - always a nice treat!

In long Just in case you didn't know there are hundreds of incredibly similar houses subdividing the miles from here to the water's edge, they've built a strip mall here that looks like a dutch colonial house with big gables on the second floor. It actually looks like a bunch of those houses all next to each other, because it's a pretty big strip mall. Inside, while it isn't as big as some supermarkets on the other side of the main freeway, it IS one of the bigger ones over here. Big wine department. Big snack section. Meat and produce sections are kinda average, though, and those sections do matter most, but they're there. I came over yesterday to pick up an online order, and the kid who brought out my stuff was super nice. They didn't have everything I ordered, and she explained why. It all went pretty smoothly overall. I've hit this place quite a few times over the years and have generally gotten what I needed for a decent price...though I'll admit that I often go over the freeway if I need more than the basics.

My husband and I recently made a late-night pilgrimage to check out the "YouTube famous" WinCo, and…read morelet me tell you, it's quite the experience. Walking in, the ambiance is essentially "Costco: Industrial Edition." It's a massive warehouse of pure, unadulterated grocery chaos. While I wasn't exactly blown away by the prices on the name-brand items, the WinCo house brand is practically a steal--often half the cost! The real showstopper, however, is the bulk bin section. It takes up at least a quarter of the entire store. You could legitimately get lost in there and start a new life among the quinoa and gummy bears. A word to the wise: WinCo is strictly "Cash or Debit only." I was blissfully unaware of this little quirk until I reached the register, and I narrowly escaped a walk of shame only because I happened to have some cash on me. Consider yourself warned!

Went to this location and used the self checkout to purchase a 5 gallon water refill because the…read moreregular lines were extremely long. While I was entering my cash, an employee named Tara came up, leaned over, and in an accusatory tone asked if I had entered the water, scrutinizing my screen closely and even putting on her glasses to "inspect" it. When I told her I had and asked if she could check her own screen, Tara became offended and escalated the situation, yelling in front of other customers, "You don't have to be rude, I am just doing my job. I can call a manager." This public humiliation was completely unnecessary. After completing the transaction, I spoke to the store manager on duty, only to be met with a generic "I will talk to her," with no meaningful resolution. This incident raises serious concerns about Winco's self checkout procedures. Customers are already forced to perform cashier duties due to understaffing, and now we are subjected to suspicion and harassment for simply doing their job. Checking for unscanned items is part of an employee's job, yet Tara chose to publicly accuse and yell at a paying customer instead. Winco, this behavior is unacceptable. Self checkout should not come with humiliation, intimidation, or yelling from employees. Your staff needs proper training to treat customers with respect while doing their jobs

The produce section continues to rock, as do the superb meat and seafood sections. The former asian section is mostly mixed in now, and that is fine. It still has a huge variety of top-quality items. Cheese has shrunk a bit since the new restaurant opened, but it's still good. Deli meats are a little less appealing, but still good. This is a wonderful grocer, neck-and-neck with the other local/regional high-end grocer, Metropolitan Market. Of the two, I prefer T&C. Both are great.

We stayed out of the middle aisles, shopping on the edges. The last time we were in, the original sushi people were gone, replaced by some run of the mill contractor with fishy tasting garbage. This time, prices were unbelievable. We all know that Covid affected the supply chain and things got expensive. The supply chain has been fine for awhile, yet everything is ridiculously expensive. I am not poor. I think I have a relatively decent income. When I mentioned that I was likely to stop including this store as a regular option, I was met with death stares. Seriously? We were followed to our car and asked to not come back. Seriously? I actually went back inside and took photos of the staff running away from me. We weren't violent. We didn't cuss. We weren't loud. We just called you out for being a money-hungry conglomerate charging as much as the richest customer will pay. You should be ashamed at how exclusionary your store really is. And obviously your staff isn't trained on anything remotely close to empathy. If they were, there attitude would have been much better. Effen Mill Creek snobs.

It's super convenient and easy to stop by, which makes it part of my routine at this point. One thing I really appreciate is how consistently kind the staff is. Whether I go during the day or later at night, everyone is always friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. I also feel really safe shopping here, which is something I don't take for granted. The store itself always feels clean and well-kept, and the food options are actually really good. I love browsing their deals too--you can find some great stuff without spending a ton. Overall, it's just a really reliable, positive shopping experience every time I go. Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.
