In years past, we have rented an inflatable SUP (don't rent inflatable if you want to go fast), a tandem kayak and a single kayak. All rental equipment was in great shape and the process was painless. My only suggestions to the business owners would be to have some type of program for delivery for loyal repeat customers so we can avoid the $60+ charge of delivery, and to stay open a little later than 4pm on Sundays. Otherwise, hats off to Jim & Jane for a great, reliable service.

The only problem is that the organization that did the restoration, not Round Lake Marina, did not check the engine as they'd assure us they would. So here we are, with a beautiful, cosmetically restored boat, but the darn thing wouldn't start and if it did, it died randomly. Not the ideal situation for someone who doesn't know a motor from a steering wheel. Enter Round Lake Marina. Darrin, Rick and Aaron came to our rescue, gave the boat a nice little tune up at our dock and made sure "girls week" wasn't spent looking longingly at the lake. I went there with my dad today, and the first comment Bernie Klismet made to me was, 'Are you getting it ready for Pride Month?' because I permed my hair. I stayed respectful, but then I asked for my bike back because I didn't trust him, based on previous experiences. He had my dad's quad at his shop off and on, dropping it off in 2023 completely and leaving it there. We originally dropped it off in 2020, and he still hasn't touched or looked at it. He then said 'Absolutely' when I asked for my bike back, but told me to get the f*** off his property, even though I was still being respectful. I took my bike, and while I was pushing it down the road, he made very mean comments and insulted me when I didn't say ANYTHING. VERY RUDE and would not recommend, as he is very childish. Once again, I was respectful the whole time, and he still proceeded to insult me and also pulled my dad's quad (which he had nothing to do with) and put it on the side of the highway, non-running, since he never looked at it or fixed it. My grandpa also had an experience with him and won't go to him anymore because it took weeks, and no one called or texted him. So, he went to his shop looking for it, but no one was there, and he saw Bernie Klismet using HIS trailer to haul around other things without asking him. TERRIBLE service. NO HE WAS NOT JOKING AS HE KEPT REPEATING INSULTS TOO ME AFTER I SAID I DIDNT LIKE IT

I've been in the Hayward area for more than 50 years and saw places on this tour I've not seen before. I had nearly as much fun sitting next to my wife and looking at the landscape as I did when I was behind the wheel navigating the trails. Runamuk provides everything you need for a trip. Consider bringing ear protection - the machines are loud. Don't forget sunglasses and a rag to wipe to them clean after trekking a puddle or two.

We rode right after a big storm and got nice and wet and muddy from splashing through large rain puddles along the trails. The vehicles were very sturdy and we felt perfectly safe, even through some rough terrain. Jim also had us stop at a few spots along the way to show us some beautiful scenery and tell us a bit about the history of the area. Most of us hadn't been on or driven ATVs before and all of us would do it again! As far as the value goes, for 3 generations to spend a quarter of a day doing something we all enjoyed and had never done before, we felt it was worth every penny. Communication from Joan prior to our tour was excellent. She answered our questions promptly and thoroughly. Both she and Jim were wonderful. We will likely do business with them in the future! We look forward to more adventures!
