This last year…read moreI stored a speedboat here and when they delivered it, they failed to install the boat plug (or inform anyone to put it in) before they backed the boat into the lake. Several weeks later, the boat filled with water when blown off the lift in a storm and luckily ran aground before it sunk. Still did not know what happened until was taking kids tubing and it again filled with water. Could have been very dangerous. When I tried to tell them about it, first they denied their employee would do such a thing and then they told me that it was my fault because Wisconsin law required them to remove the plug. HHHMMM...does Wisconsin law prohibit you from putting it back in or informing the customer it is out? Their rudeness was complete when I said they lost a customer and they told me they did not want "my kind of business". Stay away if you value competence and good customer service.

Since my boat and 15 HP motor was in storage for 2+ years, I brought it to Wild river, where I…read morepurchase the motor, for a tune up since I wanted to sell it. After a $500+ bill for parts, labor and gas, I brought it home. The first person who wanted to buy the boat tried to start to motor, it wouldn't start. I took it back to Wild River to find out why it wouldn't start. I received a call a few days later and was told the reason the motor wouldn't start was due to a significant amount of water in the gas tank. I also was told that the gas tank and fuel lines were water-tight and the water must have been present when gas was added to the gas tank. I did not add gas since Wild River filled the tank when I originally brought the boat and motor in for the tune up (over 4 gallons of gas at over $6.00 was itemized on the invoice). Now they want to charge me over $800 for service work!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone else experienced the "water in your gas" excuse to justify a service charge? I will NEVER again do business with this company.
