Forty plus years experience, a real master at what he does. Sort of out of the way across Rt. 31 from Spring Hill Mall but worth going to.

From our first meeting, she was incredibly responsive and so flexible with every little change and "what if" I threw her way. She managed to pull off the ultimate fashion magic trick: designing my dream gown for our ceremony in Italy, then totally transforming it with clever add-ons for our San Francisco wedding. What touched me most was how she beautifully incorporated heirloom pieces from both my mom's and grandmother's dresses. It made the whole experience feel so personal and full of love! As a professional opera singer, I'm used to being in costume fittings, and I can honestly say Sarah is a total pro! She understands movement, drama, and detail like no one else. Sarah is my go-to for all dress needs, whether it's for the stage or another big event. She's simply the best!

My aunt and mother also wore the dress for their weddings in 1983 and 1991. I wanted to keep the design as close to the original as possible. I wasn't sure what was going to be possible but Sarah did an absolutely impeccable job. It was impossible to tell that it had been altered and I felt like a princess. It meant so much to me to get to wear it.

The shop itself is a very quiet, clean place with an ample dressing room to change into what needs to be altered. The proprietor was very proficient in taking the necessary measurements and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The final product fits just as I wanted and was neatly pressed as well as altered. I have no basis for comparison for the price to what other shops charge. It was $12 for unlined pants and $15 for lined pants, and I believe the cost is worth the quality product I received.

I readily admit I am inept at measuring correctly myself and knew it was time to talk to the professionals. When I called him, he said, "Sure. I am open from 9-4 tomorrow (Saturday)." I said I would be in to get her measured. The next morning, we found his shop and walked in. He came out from the back and I explained to him I had spoken to him about measuring my daughter and that he had told me to come in. He said, "Yes. I'll measure her. $10." I asked him if it was $10 JUST TO MEASURE HER. He said yes. I told him thank you, but no. We weren't going to pay him to spend two minutes to measure her. He let us leave. I walked back into his shop after my daughter (17) and my son got in the car. I told him that when I spoke with him the day before, he made NO MENTION of the charge. He said, "well, that's too bad." I said it was bad business and he said that he didn't care and walked away. I will never recommend him and, in fact, will tell others not to waste their time. The store was empty--it's not like he was ignoring other customers. How hard would it have been to measure her and hope we'd come back for something else? I can promise you we'll never go back there again now.
