Went through my insurance company to get a tow on 6/27/25. At 1230 pm I started the road side assistce claim. As soon as the claim was completed I received a text at 1240 stating John's Tow would arrive at 1420. Then at 1249 John's Towing sent a text confirming the tow. At 1447 I sent a text asking when they would arrive. At 1450 John's towing called to say they never sent a text and they just got the work order and the best they could do would be 30 minutes, but would text me when they were 5 mines out. I called my insurance company to se if they could get movement but said that it would be 30 minutes. So I get a text at 1536 and hour later saying they are on their way, cool 5 minutes out. So at 1600 I call my insurance company to see what's up, we'll they are at least another 30 minutes out. Since I've been stuck in the sun in 100+ degrees waiting on a company that doesn't care about customer service I'm currently on my way to the hospital with heat exhaustion. I'm sure the divers are doing their best. The office staff is clearly not doing their job. I should have gotten a ride home, rented a car trailer and towed it myself. Would have been several hours faster. I've asked my insurance company to use another tow company so my car actually makes it to my house. Hope they do as I've asked....looks like im getting wheeled back into the ER. Good times, thanks for nothing. (I also have documentation supporting everything im saying). I got a flat tire while I was working and was really stressed out since I work two jobs and already have enough on my plate. John's Towing sent Mark over to help and he got here expeditiously. They honestly couldn't have sent anyone better; Mark is efficient, hard-working, amicable, and took care of everything. I felt like my car was very safe in his hands and he helped make the entire process feel so smooth. It's hard for someone to be able to turn your day around when you've been going through some difficulties, but Mark made it seem effortless. Don't do business with this man!! He entered a contract with my Uncle to refinish a 1982 Ford F150, paint, new interior, new gas tanks, New truck bed. My Uncle passed away unexpectedly in Oct 2023. Sgt. John said we owed balance of contract which was 7500 of 15,000 bill. He had the truck since July 2024 and when we finally picked truck up today 3-10-23, the truck was awful and he should be ashamed to take advantage of a veteran. The estate of my uncle lives in New Jersey, so I guess he thought we would never see the truck but we donated it to a veterans association and my hope is they will be able to salvage the truck and get it running. My car was hit by an out of control young woman attempting an illegal u turn. Aurora police called, John's Towing came about 45 minutes later. I removed prior most of my valuables and asked the tow driver to lock the car when it got to the Chambers Road lot. What a horrible scene the next day. My car was left unlocked, people were inspecting it as if to salvage. An expensive flashlight was left in one of the dash compartments that most would never know existed. Either the tow driver took the light or someone else did. Plus it took two days to have the vehicle towed to the repair shop... after repeated calls. Sure, this towing company has an agreement with Aurora Police. I hope that I never have to use them again! Bad experience! read more

Was in an accident over the holiday weekend. Driver arrived delayed with no communication skills at all! No info was given. "He asked if that was the car" then he proceeded to drive away with no other info. I go to the shop to get my belongings before handing the car over to my insurance.. AND STUFF WAS MISSING FROM MY VEHICLE!!! Let me say that again, SOMEONE MADE OFF WITH SOME OF MY BELONGINGS.. If I could give zero stars I would. We waited almost two hours after we were told 35-65 min. Then the towing company said 20-25 more min. At 25 min they stopped answering our calls and the calls from roadside assistance! The absolute WORST!! We now have to wait 45 min for a new provider. Do not call!! read more

My insurance selected this company for our tow & wow was this the worse company we have dealt with. We requested a tow 3 days in a row. Day 1- Given an eta of 1 hour, after waiting 2 hours we were advised they were held in traffic and would arrive within a half hour. Once it hit 3 hours we had to cancel as we could no longer wait. Day 2- Agian given 1 hour eta. After 4 hours we're advised they couldnt make it. Day 3- Another hour eta followed by a call around the 2 hour mark that their vehicles supposedly overheated. We will definitely make sure not to try utilizing them ever again. read more

She was pleasant to speak with and was very clear about the pricing of the tow. Also, throughout this entire interaction with John's Towing, I received text messages stating when the truck would arrive. That inspired a lot of confidence in their business practices... No one wants to be stranded without any information with regards to just when help is arriving! John was the driver that picked me up. The dispatcher, I suppose knew that on a quiet Saturday afternoon, early evening, that I would not normally be in this predicament and so seemed cordial and considerate. T The time and price quotes were accurate, off either direction by less than ten points, in spite of the road re-directs and fuel hikes that Saturday. The mechanic who handled my car was quick and worked independently requesting no assistance from me. He offered to help me afterwards with properly placing the vehicle in a better spot after his duties were complete. This he kindly and expertly did again without my help. I would recommend that if you have a need for a full service-tow, please place their number someplace handy in your glove box and additionally in your loved-one's glovebox as well. -Dave S. read more

(Annoying... but ok). 6:30 comes and I call them to find out police calls came in... looking at an hour delay. I tell them the shop closes at 8 and want to get it in before then. I get what amounts to a blank stare over the phone from the guy. 8:45pm I call again for updated ETA... another 40 minutes. Kick rocks, "John". And Geico... seems like you should lose John's number. This place is as crooked as they come. I got their number from Kuni Honda when my vehicle broke down. After my vehicle was on the truck, I tried to pay the driver directly and he told me that it would be easier to bill me through Kuni. I didn't think much of it until I got the bill from Kuni, $212. I immediately called Johns, and their receptionist informed that they received $165 from Kuni for the tow. I'm sure Kuni appreciates the driver doing what he did, allowing them to mark up the cost as a thank you for the referral, but not exactly a consumer friendly practice. I also called 2 other tow companies and got an estimate on the tow I received from John's and both were under $120. There are way too many tow companies out there to deal with one as corrupt as John's. In case you're wondering, I also wrote a review on Kuni as they are even more corrupt than John's!!! read more

I was involved in an accident and the police officer present called John's Towing to tow my car and the other car involved. Only one truck came and towed the other car involved in the accident. The police officer called for another truck and it took an hour for the truck to finally show up. I was waiting on the side of the road for over two hours from the time I was struck in the accident to the time my car was towed. The tow truck came and gave me my options, either towing the truck to John's Towing yard or to my mechanic of choice. Being that he mentioned that it was $165 to hook up the truck and $4 per mile (assuming John's Towing is much closer than my mechanic), I opted to spend what I thought would be under $200 to tow my truck to their yard. When I picked it up 15 hours later, I had a $403 charge that I had to pay in cash. I was not told that there was a $150 admin fee, plus $60 because they considered it two days storage (8PM Thursday to 10:30AM Friday, $30/day). Had I known it would be over $300 just to hook my car up, I might have opted for another option, called a friend to tow, called another towing service that wasn't contracted with the police department, etc.). The chargers were not well communicated and I urge the organization to please communicate this better to avoid customer's frustration and shock of such a high charge for a tow. I think it was pretty obvious that I had no idea that I would be paying over $400 cash for towing services. read more

I had the misfortune of being assigned this tow company by Geico's road assistance. I called at 7am and was told it would be 90min. Okay, considering I live near DU, I couldn't understand why it would take that long, but it was do-able since I didn't have to be at the auto shop til 9:30am. Well, 90min comes and goes. I call the tow company at 9am. They inform me that they had a police call which is priority and they don't know when the truck will be at my location. I asked why they didn't call me to let me know before I sat here and waited two fricking hours! I could've had Geico set up a different tow company. "I dunno", was the response I got. Do you know your own face from your ass? Cuz I seriously doubt it. Was it too hard to pick up a phone and give me or Geico a courtesy call? Apparently, it was. They couldn't give two shits about wasting other people's time. I complained to Geico, but the other tow companies on their list wouldn't be able to get here for another hour since it's now rush hour morning traffic. At that point, John's Towing gave Geico an ETA of 30-40min, so they thought it best for me to just wait for these bastards. I reschedule my appointment at the auto shop for 10:30 based on the ETA from the towing company. Then I waited and I waited and waited and waited. 30-40min my ass! Well,10:30am rolls around and I get a call from their dispatch: The driver is 20min out. Really?! The tow truck was supposed to be here around 9:30am, it's now 10:30. What's another 20 damn minutes when I've been sitting here for over three effing hours already! Shockingly, the driver arrived at 10:50am. Poor guy got an earful from me as soon as he arrived. Honestly, I could have Fred Flintstone'd my car to the shop and got there faster. The clencher is that the actual tow trip to the auto shop took less than 10 minutes. The only good part of this situation was that the truck driver was nice. He understood my frustration at the situation and agreed that there should have been better communication. read more

If I could give them negative stars - I WOULD. I called my insurance company and they were the second option as the first option was going to take three hours - John's was only supposed to take 2. It took them over 5 hours to get to my house - If I had known this I would have went with the first option. My experience with the ladies on the phone was nothing short of inexcusable - they were rude, short and just abrupt. If you can - AVOID AT ALL MEASURES - even though this cost is covered in my insurance - I still don't want them to file any claims because they don't deserve my insurance carriers money EITHER. I tended to give them grace, look at how many cars there are out there, and I'm sure they want to respond to police calls so they keep getting those calls. But it was around 4.5 hours before they got to me. Car battery died at DIA lot and jumpstart wouldn't work. Made arrangements through Geico with this company. We heard from tow truck driver upon arrival that he was going back to get a different tow truck to get car with since it could not be put in neutral. Last we ever heard from him. We called towing company to follow up in the morning. They said they picked up car and delivered it to agreed upon service shop. However we called service shop to check car in and no one could find it. Finally got a hold of DIA parking services to find out the car was STILL in the lot and was never towed! Unreal. Got a different towing company the next day- good to go. There's plenty to choose from, I'd recommend finding another. read more

The insurance gave me a 3 hour wait time, but John's office personnel called about 30 minutes later to say they would have someone out there as soon as possible. The driver was there in 45 minutes, and was such an expert in handling his equipment that he picked my SUV up , drove it to the house and dropped the car under the parking shed exactly in the place I had parked (a tight spot) exactly as it had been before I left for work and broke down! Excellent young man with a very practiced eye, who knows exactly what his equipment can do and can use every bit of that capability to park a dead vehicle on a dime! Also very polite! So my motorcycle's drive belt snapped last weekend. My insurance company gave me the runaround as I was trying to get a tow home from Henderson to Fort Collins, leaving me stranded literally all night. Other towing agencies didn't want to deal with it (I guess? I don't know. Over 20 other companies came up with excuses to not help), but John's put me on the schedule as soon as they were contacted. It took a bit for them to get a truck out to me, but that's no fault of theirs. I'm assuming it was because they were very busy that night (considering it took my insurance company 5 hours to even schedule something). John's was very communicative (texting me updates and not getting annoyed the couple of times that I called to double check the arrival time), and arrived right on schedule. David, the driver, walked me through everything he was doing and worked very quickly and thoroughly to secure my bike. No time was wasted getting my bike home, and the unloading process was just as seamless. I absolutely recommend this place. Give David a raise. read more
